I think the wick should be fairly cheap too. I'm just waiting to hear from the guy in the UK that does the silica wick, I'm pretty sure that it'll be just what we want and should reach us far quicker than ordering from the USA.

Imeo's video has caused a lot of the problems with the cone. He states not to close it, but I think that what he should have said is close it, then open it half a turn. I think a lot of us were leaving it open 3 or 4 turns and this has caused a hell of a lot of flooding. You really only need to leave it open enough for the wick to transfer the liquid

As soon as I have the wire I'll post a message to say that it's arrived. There's going to be around 150 metres of one and 298 metres of the other so there's plenty to go around and if we run out I'll order some more.
I'm quite happy to keep it in stock here although I may start to moan when measuring and coiling it LOL!
Even with recorded delivery, unless I've made a serious error in maths, the total cost will be well under £3 for 5 metres of each wire.

Of course Clutter, it's not a group buy as such, I've actually already made the purchase, once I've got it I'll let everyone know then they can send me the dosh and I'll post the wire LOL

No problem Ian, I'm getting it sorted Hopefully the wire will be here early next week. I'm sure that the wick is going to take a little longer but it's all positive.

Just had a mail back from the USA company with regards to the fibreglass wick that we're currently using. It's $28.50 + $15 postage for 100 yards. I've mailed back to say that I'll confer with everyone then get back to them. I'll wait until mid next week and see what we here from the UK company with the silica wick, I think that may be a better option, but let's see what the costings are like.

No disrespect Deesigner but I get your feeling from your earlier post the assistant hadn't got her eyes glued to your Provari.... I still say the best advertising is to vape everywhere...if you don't use public transport - DO - just to vape...... Education and information here is the key How is your shoulder btw DeesignerJoh Actually Joh she did have her eyes glued to it, but for the wrong reasons My shoulder's not so bad now thanks, the pain killers did the job.

This is such a valuable resource Dee, I've moved it to here, so as it doesn't get lost. Thank you so much for the time this must have taken you to do. To be totally honest it didn't take much time at all and I had to make another coil up for myself. Getting the photo's right took longest as I had to keep retaking them. I really enjoyed doing it

That's really interesting Prof. Does make you wonder just how many vapers there are out there that aren't affiliated with any forums?

I've just spoken to the guy about the silica wick, I'm in the process of sending him a sample of the wick we're using and he's going to get back to me when he's found something similarly suitable I don't know anything on minimum orders or costings yet, will keep you updated
