Hey guys, just like Debs says, I think it's got a mind of it's own LOL. Sometimes it takes 3 clicks, sometimes 5 and sometimes loads more LOL. But at the end of the day I'M VAPING weeee......... It doesn't seem a lot different to my "rubbsh" ecig but the real telling will be in the strength and longevity of the battery. The "rubbish" cig gives about 5 full strength drags, then gradually gets weaker and weaker until after about 45 minutes, the battery is dead!

Don't worry guys, I'll practise with it over the weekend and if they are still the same, I'll have a quick word with supplier on Monday. Apart from that - it seems great Thanks for all your help - must take my doggie for a walk now!

The other battery is just the same Chrissy - they're both locking at 5 (quick presses) and unlocking at much more....

Yes Chrissie, that's the one - just tried pressing 5 times quickly and that's locking and unlocking it - hooray. Thanks guys.
EDIT - it's taking about 10 presses to unlock it! in fact, that just took 21 presses to unlock it!!!

Oh, I'm sorry Poppsie, that was my fault for not explaining things properly Oh Chrissie don't be daft. It's obviously a bit different to yours so how were you supposed to know! I'll have a word with the supplier on Monday to see what he says cos the way it is, something could accidentally press the button in while it's in my bag. No need to be sorry. xx

Pressing it 3 times doesn't seem to be doing anything. I need to press once while vaping then let go afterwards. Maybe it's a slightly different design to the ones you peeps have got. I can see that if something in my pocket or bag pressed against the button, it would come on as there's no way of locking it.

It works if I hold down the button as I vape but as soon as I let go of it, I can't vape.... Yes that's how a manual battery works.. You need to press the button to vape. When you release it , it stops.... Phew, thanks maccafan. Thought it was faulty. Panic over!!!

YW Poppsie Also, don't forget that the Riva batteries are 3 click to switch them on & then lock them again. OK Chrissie, thanks. I've taken that battery off charge now and doing the other one. Just letting the carto soak - I've put 30 drops in it so hope that is OK. The Riva is massive compared to my "rubbish" one LOL - looks like I'm sucking on a stick of rock!!

so you don't end up dripping juice down the centre hole. That's what I thought Chrissie. Understood now, thanks both for your help.

Don't worry about following the battery charging instructions, if the battery is green it's fully charged so just vape away Drip Tip - take the small white bung off the end of the carto and pop the drip tip in there! Hi Karma sorry to seem as thick as two short planks but do I use the drip tip to refill the carto with more juice then remove it?

Hi everyone
Thanks so much for your welcome messages and yup Chrissie I'm sure I will love it here.
My Riva's arrived (tried to insert a smiley here lol). It's on charge for 8 hours (even though the light turned green after an hour) as per instructions, then I use it for 20 minutes, then charge it for another hour so hopefully, it should be ready by about 8 pm tonight. My carto is soaking away happily.
Just a question though. Vape Escape have sent me a free drip tip and I'm going to make you all groan now LOL - what do I do with it (clean answers only please). I've watched a video but still don't understand. He was talking about cartridges and atomizers and didn't seem to mention using a drip tip with a cartomizer. Thanks guys.
