Just because you change operating mode from VV to VW does not mean a thing - until you adjust one or the other from its current setting.

Only if the battery is physically damaged is it likely to short out inside the tube on the battery side of the electronics.
Shorts after the electronics are protected, and it is also protected against too low a discharge.

As mentioned above, just about everything you need to know (guidance, advice, build threads, etc.) can be found here ukvapers.org/Forum-E-Pipe-UsersIf there is anything specific answers you need, then I will try and help. Best of luck with your endeavours - it can be very rewarding and satisfying. Choosing a pipe for conversion without having it in your hand can be hard to judge. You should be looking for an internal bowl depth of about 45mm, to take a vape fuse, battery,top pick up ring and a manual button. You can get away with less depth for eGo electronics and a side button. |

Nemis, depending where and when you got it, can come with spring or magnetic buttons. Obviously, you have a magnetic one.
You can also get magnet conversions for spring buttons.

Whilst vaping is surely significantly less harmful than smoking, one must assume that putting stuff into your lungs that they were never intended to process is likely to be deleterious, even in some small measure. That is not an unreasonable assumption - and assumption it must be, as there is no long term study or evidence - it just does not exist.
As someone else has already pointed out - much is known about the main carriers, VG and PG, but not about any flavouring material (except perhaps for food use).
The effects of nicotine are known.
So I agree, it is fair for the NHS advisors to try and get people to quit completely. That is the best long term outcome.
