Welcome Trevor - another forum newbie myself. Had similar questions to start with - looks like you've already gotten some great advice. There's a wealth of knowledge here, as you've already pointed out Cheers - commonsense

Well the Postman has arrived and I've already got the new kit running. All I can say is wow, just wow. I expected there to be a difference, but it's night and day. Very pleased. Thanks for all your recommendations and welcome's already everybody! Awesome. jax: Thanks for the welcome I keep hearing cocomel thrown around, this will be in the next pick n mix, I think! onedayillquit: The numbers look good (even with the initial expenditure!). discodes: that's about what I've worked it out as - but too early to tell, I've already got a hankering to buy more stuff!! (hide the cc!) chrissy: I've been back and forth between the UK and the US more times than I'd like to count. This most recent venture has had me in jolly 'ole for the last 2 years. perpetua: I take it griz named this juice after you? I can't find the thread now, but I was reading somebody else's intro yesterday who also had the skycig and there was a discussion about refilling the carts and using the pcc as a out and about pv. I've seen the condom method for refilling carts (boges) but I don't see how that will work with these carts (the condoms are tiny). Is it a drip tip jobby? Also - how long can I expect the batteries / vision ego's to last before they require replacements? That's all for now. Back to my Perpetu Leche - commonsense

Just remember too much nic can make you sic, not enough makes you gruff. (That just came to me lol) You're a poet and you didn't even know it! Jeez - thanks for the warm welcome, everyone (where's the blushing smiley?) Chrissie: I don't necessarily need to go for the total budget option - I'll already be saving ~ 6gbp / day on good quality stuff Besides, I do have a bit of a worry buying foreign e-liquid. I don't know if that's a bit noobish of me or what, but I'm still not sure about ingredients and safeness of all the liquids out there... ciar: Thanks for the supportive comments and good to hear about your vape story too. Always motivating to hear! Anne(fuzzy): Thanks for the cappucino recommendation. I'll take all the coffee related ones I can get as in true yank style I absolutely LOVE my coffee. Speaking of, I already had my flame bat at the ready for american jibes. Everyone having a bit of a slow day?

Gordy: Thanks for the welcome. Yes, this is what I keep hearing re: decent kit over the e-cigalikes. Looking forward to it. ev: I can completely understand that this turns into a hobby. For starters the community seems super cool and down to earth plus there's always a new flavor to try. I may be starting out with the view to ween myself off nicotine, but chances are I'll be more addicted to all the kit and mods and juices. I'm a bit of gadget fiend as it turns out - so right up my alley. And cheers for the advice.

Annie: Thanks! Chrissie: Thanks for the welcome. I will try the Black Cat once I've worked my way through these: Griswald - 666, Caramel Espresso, Perpetu Leche, Menthol Tabac, Toffee Popcorn - Just realized there's a lot of caramel in there 2risky: Thanks bud. I'm going to guess about 4ml based on yours and Chrissie's estimation and considering I seem to be going at a rate of naught with the skycig, I'll plan for higher use for the time being. Good advice on sellers' being able to change nic content if asked. We'll see how we get along with that - early days yet, as you say. nightus: Thanks for the welcome. Not sure I'm after a pot-alike to be honest but appreciate the reccie.. Really looking forward to getting the package in the mail! Royal Mail don't fail me now!

This is a great idea! I wonder if there is anybody posted at the Wellesbourne Market outside of Stratford Upon Avon?
Also, +1 the idea of some kind of Vape-Stall mapping App for iOS/Android. I could possibly consult on best way to do this?

Hello friendly Forum dwellers, I've been lurking for a week or so now, started doing some research around this whole e-cigarette and vaping stuff after I picked up the Raconteur supplement in the Times. I'm from the US and just turned 30 and simultaneously hit another (far less hip-hip hooray) milestone, I had been smoking for 1/2 of my life. *sigh* In addition to that, the cost of cigarettes in the UK is just insane - I smoke(d) Marlies and at 8GBP a pack.... So yeah, I want rid. My brother picked up a skycig starter pack in the same edition of the times - which I think is still a pretty good deal at just under 15 incl P&P. After I tried one of his I went and bought myself the same deal. I mean, the flavours aren't particularly great (actually they're kind of poor) and I find myself running out of juice (of the battery variety ) a bit too quickly for my liking, but at least it's introduced me to the stuff. I've had the gear now for the past 3 days and with the exception of a cheeky smoke when I was at a local pub poker game the other night I haven't bought any smokes. Anyway - been reading up on various bits and paying particular attention to others' introductory posts. I've gone ahead and ordered myself some stuff from vapeescape: 2 900Mah vv passthrough batts as I spend most of my time in front of the computer doing work from home and a couple vision ego clear carts (as per maccafan's reccomendation in another thread). Got myself a sample pack of some juices from there as well and am looking forward to getting stuck in with these over the weekend (hopefully RM is in good form and these will arrive tomorrow). Right - I also wanted to say a huge thank you to the already invaluable information that I've gleaned from lurking. There seems to be an abundance of really helpful and happy people on these boards and I look forward to getting involved! I did lurk at a few others, but this one certainly seems the most friendly and open to newbies, that I've seen. A few side questions Since I got the skycig kit, I've been 'chainvaping' a bit and have already emptied a few of the carts. Based on the fact that I smoked a pack a day - what kind of amounts of juice am I likely to be going through? Would be nice to have and idea on this as my financial brain loves to see the savings over analogues straight away (and of course this helps motivation as well). I see a lot of people have remained vaping and kept it as a long term alternative to smoking. I was wondering if anybody had experience of using it as a NRT type solution? I guess the best way to do this would be to mix your own juices and progressively lower the effective nicotine content? Anybody? The carts that came with the skycig kit (there were two tobacco -likes which frankly were garbage, a cherry, menthol and vanilla) were not the best. Can someone provide some recommendations on a good tobacco, menthol, and possibly a coffee juice? I think I've gone on long enough! Thanks in Advance folks, - commonsense P.S. just looked at that in preview pane. WHOOPS! Apologies for the brain dump folks
