Chrissie, Exactly why I've been wanting to stop smoking. Before I heard of vaping I decided to cut down dramatically. I would roll up 10 roll ups per day and decided I would not smoke more than that and slowly cut down more as the weeks went by. Few days into that and while on the net something popped up on my screen, an advertisement for the skycig with a discount! Well, that got me interested and ordered my skykit starter kit straight away! Since I recieved it I am loving it!!!!

Well, the post man arrived with my lovely flavorings which I ordered yesterday and Mixed up a 2 ml tester with Black cherry and Vanilla (not a great combination, but what the heck lol) going by the calculator and bobs your uncle, vaping on a lovely DIY e juice I just made! how about that! Not bad for a newbie if I may say so myself, but I will be experimenting much more to find one which will be perfect for my taste buds |

It is, of course, entirely coincidental that you've taken up vaping at about the same time as you've given up smoking. Ecigs are not an aid to smoking cessation. Oh no. Definitely not. Nor are they a drug delivery device. Or any sort of health product. In fact, without proper scientific trials, there is no evidence that vaping is any less dangerous than playing in traffic. I know of a soldier in Afghanistan who was a vaper and he lost both his legs, so think on. [/heavy sarcasm] I'm not sure if I have completely given up smoking as yet, as it's still very early days, but I find vaping quite enjoyable and no need for the real thing. I'm not sure if I misunderstood you but are you stating that vaping is dangerous? hmmmm I do wonder sometimes in how safe vaping is, but I feel if I have to choose between vaping and smoking right now I prefer to vape Please open up let me know what you know!!!! |

Just a quick update (as I've just woken up and need a couple of coffees to function lol ) I woke up about half hour ago and my throat feels burnt an acid feeling. (not sure if that makes sense, but the feeling you get on your throat when you drink coke, that kind of acid feeling, but constant) . I'm now vaping on my skycig cartomiser mint flavour and it feels more calmer on my throat ( the Innokin AIO 510 Cartomiser) feels as though it's more stronger on the inhale (but, I did near enough vape all day yesterday, maybe I need to give breaks?) I'm not sure as I'm so new to vaping and don't know what happens or expect! Maccafan and Batdragon, Thankyou both so much for the recommendations. I will be back (after my coffee) and look into them, they sound great! Thank you |

It sounds very much like its your taste buds which is normal for a while after switching to vaping. Even now 1yr on I still get the odd day here and there where I can't taste juice the same. Even extra flavouring may not help. All my juices are a very decent strength in regards to flavour. I was sick of trying so many the first 6mths of vaping and most were quite weak so I made mine to be a good strength of flavour. I'm also happy to add extra or less on any of mine as they're made to order. Especially if someone has tried some of mine and would prefer a bit more strawberry, a little less biscuit etc etc I'm always happy to adjust to personal requirements, just a note in the notes section at the checkout is needed That sounds like me tonight, my taste buds have somehow gone and I haven't tasted the juice I was vaping on. |

Chrissie, I topped the cartomiser up with e liquid. I think the problem could be that I've used a different cartridge today on my skycig, the (Innokin AIO 510 Cartomiser) that seems easier to vape with and gives a better vape than the skycig cartridge. Well I hope that doesn't burn my battery! But, for some reason I couldn't get the taste earlier on.
I will see how it feels and tastes tomorrow.
I'm now thinking in purchasing something better once I know the In's and outs of vaping. Is there any anyone could recommend? I still don't want to go to large, something similar to the sky cig, but something that can handle a little more and makes it easier for me to purchase accessories without having to go to Sky.

Well almost 3 weeks now since my last cig and all I can say is why did I not discover vaping before .No more wheezing at night can play footy with my son without having to rest after 30 seconds .Have converted a number of people at work as well after they see me puffing on my ego at the smoke shelter. Only thing is I can’t help buying things  have already had 4 orders in this week and just put in another with HC ... Thanks to all the lovely people on here who offered advise it has been the best decision I could have made and best of all have not had the smallest craving for a cig and I was on about 30 a day. Wow! thats fantastic! congratulations on being smoke free! |

Hi Onedayillquit, hmmmm I've only been vaping now for 9 days and it's all going well, but tonight I noticed or it seemed to me as though I was getting very little taste even though I placed a different flavored little used sky flavored cartridges. Or, I'm thinking maybe it's because I have been constantly vaping all day and my taste buds have gone numb (can that happen?) Well I couldn't figure it out so I had to have a roll up to see if that is what I needed, but and a BIG BUT, funny enough I couldn't taste that too! I feel a bit peed with myself for doing that right now as I've been so good keeping away from a roll up, but I have 4 batteries and they all seemed the same when I vaped on my e cig, . So, I just wondered if I blew my batteries |
