Hi guys, Thanks for all the posts. I don't know how to say this without sounding offensive, so apologies in advance, that is not my intention. As a smoker I would never dream of sitting and rolling my own ciggies. I found people who did that were akin to those who brew their own beer or make their own wine. I'm just a normal working class bloke, who used to nip into the corner shop or Tesco express on his way to or from work and buy my fags. Convenience, not the cheapest I know, but it suited me. By now using e cigs I will be saving money, which is great, but that isn't why I'm switching from tobacco to vapour; it's mainly for health reasons. Is this forum really just for people who fill their own cartos or smoke something that looks like a fountain pen or a gazzoo? I would feel silly puffing on any device that didn't look like a tobacco ciggy. Am I the only one on here who thinks that way? Sorry if that view rubs some of you up the wrong way, I just find it incredible that the UK "brands" like e lites, vip, nicolites and others all seem to have different threads on their cartos or slightly different diameters - 8.5 or 9.0 or 9.2 or 9.3 ??? I'm in engineering and find standardisation is the best way forward, but these ciggy companies all seem to want the monopoly > I'm trying hard not to go back to tobacco and buying disposables at a local convenience store until I can either find cheap carts that fit my e lite battery or a ciggy company with products of equal quality but cheaper cost. I live in hope

It's the same with the e-lites - they make their money by selling the replacement "tips" at almost £20 for 5 plus of course getting folks to buy them in the first place by claiming each "tip" equals 40 cigs Yes, I've got the latest E Lites pack and the ciggy itself is very good, BUT, I'm not prepared to have my eyes taken out on the carto prices. I also can't be bothered messing about re filling the empty ones. Can anyone point me in the direction of a cheap "E Lite" compatable carto please?

Thanks for the advice and the web links. One forum question - is there a way that when someone posts on this thread I get an email to let me know? I've seen this done on other forums I've used in the past and it seems to work well. This next statement might make me instantly unpopular with the vast majority of you forum regulars; but here goes I really can't be bothered farting around with refilling my own cartos. Some people buy wine making kits from Boots, whilst others just buy the real McCoy off the shelves at the supermarket booze section. I buy my booze at the supermarket and I want to buy my cartos somewhere cheap too. Not necessarily a supermarket, but ideally an e cig website that does cartos that are compatable with E Lites, but a lot cheaper. Does anyone know of a site like that?

WOW,
Thanks for all the welcomes and speedy replies - I'm both impressed and humbled.
The E Lites look very good; clever marketing ploy making their cases look like a pack of Marlboro.
Having said that, the chargeable case is a bit hit and miss. You need to keep it still and upright on a flat surface; which is not easy with a bit of wire and usb plug sticking out the bottom. The size of the cig overall is very good and quite light. I've seen all shapes and sizes of e cigs on the net and would feel silly puffing on any of them that didnt look like a real ciggy.
I didn't know you could refill these screw on cartridges. Is that a bit like refilling empty ink cartridges on a printer?

Just joined today. Recently bought my first e cig from an advert in a Sunday newspaper. E Lites which came in a case similar to the old Marlboro brand. Decent enough smoke, but no way does one refill equal 40 tobacco fags as they claim. Wish I could find cheap refills for them now.
