Yeah I think that might be the case. We've to give them our reading then they'll send somebody out. To raise from £21.65 to £56.70 is a hell of a lot of a price increase!

Hello all! I just thought I'd post about a little problem I have, to see if anyone can shed a bit of light for me! I had a letter from Severn Trent Water a couple of days ago, informing me that my direct debits were going to change from £21.65 a month to £56.70, the first payment due on the 1st of January. I called them up and of course asked why!? They told me that my water usage was unusually high. They said on average, a normal household of two people use between 1500 and 2000 litres of water a day, however my average is 4000 litres!? I do not use this amount of water. Myself and my partner work full time so this is ridiculous. I had a water meter put in, in May. They told me it was a new regulation for rented property. They have based my average usage from May to October. The lady I spoke to told me to check my meter and record it while we're at work or in bed, when no water is being used. Then check it when we get home, or get up. Obviously if the reading has gone up, there must be a problem somewhere right? Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice or help would be very much appreciated!!! Thank you!!!

hello! so i'm just after a bit of advice again! i posted a thread a while ago saying that i was still smoking about 1-3 cigarettes a day. well i am now on my 3rd day of no cigarettes (hooraaaaay!) i am still using my e-cig, probably a bit more than i was due to finally quitting normal cigarettes. i've developed a horrible dry cough, sort of like a 'smokers cough'. i've never really suffered from a 'smokers cough' but now i think i am!? is this normal? should i go to my doctor or chemist about it or am i just being a drama queen? any advice muchly appreciated thank you!!!

thank you so much for all your replies! and thank you for your advice! i don't feel quite so bad now knowing ''chain vaping'' is quite 'normal' at the start! i've got a perfect flavour, mint choc chip - courtesy of the grandfather my goal is most definitely to cut down the normal cigarettes! i also go out for cigarette breaks with guys at work, but sometimes i find myself having a normal one. god knows why, but it's also something i'm going to try and stop! thank you all again for your help

hello all! hope you're all well. i just wanted to ask for a bit of advice if anybody is willing! so, i have cut down immensely on my smoking. at the minute i'm having about 1 or 2 cigarettes a day, plus the e-cig. what i'm finding is that i'm using the e-cig a lot more than i would a cigarette. what i mean is i'll have the e-cig in my hand most of the day, except when i'm at work (must take extra shifts!) i think this is because it's obviously easy to do that. i don't have to roll a cigarette or go outside. i simply make sure the replacement battery is charged up. is there any harm in this? or is there any tips anyone can give me to stop doing this? i mean i know the e-cig is a lot 'healthier' than a normal cigarette, but i do want to give up, you know? i hope this makes sense!! any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated! thank you

hi there! i'm new to the forum, & to the vaping craze! my grandad (who you all know as johnboy) has been fascinated with this site &, vaping alike, for a long time. everytime he bought a new gadget i would roll my eyes & smile today he went to the 'vape fest' & won a free starter kit for being so early (far too eager!) so myself & my partner have decided to try to cut down now, & we are most excited! (thank you grandad ) i hope to speak to some of you soon!
