 I managed to get through to customer relations this morning to say we'd be taking them up on their offer of a hotel & meals (£50 per head per day ) for the 5 of us and hey presto the electric has just been switched back on

Just been looking at there website & it says that they'll reimburse ' reasonable ' hotel & hot meal costs for anyone without power as of tomorrow  |

That's awful that they have said it could be another 3 days before they fix it  It's just what we've heard through the grapevine , it was supposed to be fixed today but the automated messages just say they're working on it . We have noticed over the last couple of years that the length of time to get the power up and running after a power cut is getting longer but waiting this long is a joke , especially over Xmas . |

 Just got word that we may be looking at a further 3 days before we get our power switched back on , novelty definitely worn off now but we're lucky we've got good neighbours a gas cooker & open fire ...pinched the extension lead whilst the kids are next door having a bath , at least they think it's great fun

Third day without power looming , we're one of 4 houses out of 14 in our close that have been without power since Monday night , completely random which house lost power & we're one of the unlucky ones.....I can't tell you how annoying it is to see all the xmas lights flashing away while we're eating by candle light ......next door have kindly let us run an extension cable from their conservatory today so the kids could watch telly though |

I had an order shipped from the US on the 3rd Dec arrive on tues , customs may well stop it if it's showing a value of over £15 (not sure of the exact amount ) but the postie will drop a card in saying it's copped a charge and to get down the depot and pay up along with their 8 quid fee .  |
