Don't understand all the technical stuff with wires but was just wondering if someone could possibly recommend one with exact details for a 2.4 ohm head. Hi guys I really want to have ago at this too. OH has managed to burn out 2 heads on his mini, mainly cos I can't get it out of his hand to clean it & yes I know he should be doing it himself, but right now I just glad he's kept up with the vaping so baby steps for now, at least he's filling his own nova (providing I leave the juice out) But was wondering what the difference between Kanthal A & D is. I was thinking of trying a couple of pieces of this www.vapistsvapourizers.co.uk/Kanthal_Resistance_Wire/p1436124_7911015.aspx1 piece of the Kanthal A .18 & 1 of the D .20 just till I get the hang of it. Also Frogster are you only using 1 piece of the 2mm candle wick. My mini heads have 4 strands of 1mm silica. Does the cotton wick better then silica. I would also like a higher resistance as I'm finding the 1.8 heads are giving me abit too much of a throat hit. Hope you don't mind me hopping in your thread Jane, didn't seem any point starting me own since you've asked exactly what I wanted to know as well

So I'm in the process of gathering together all things mixing. Got my delivery from nicvape, impressivly quick I must say. Am waiting for my PG & VG from ebay & in the process of choosing some flavours. But the one thing I don't have is a dripping atty, I know Brian did a thread on this very subject but I can't find it (thought it was bookmarked ) Been having a look at the choices & it's looking like it's going to be at least a tenner for a bog standard ego cone / cylinder atty & some empty tanks. At the same time I've seen some rebuildables for around the same price. Don't mind the thought of a rebuildable providing its not too complicated or more importantly expensive since it's only going to used for checking flavours. So I was wondering what the more experienced members thought of something like this that I can use the small ego tanks with www.health-e-vape.co.uk/ego-customizer--atomizer-fully-rebuildable-3643-p.asp

Don't think there's an initial dissie code, but you get returning customer codes plus any additional monthly codes.

Very impressive, all I've got at the mo' is a rummage box (Wilkinsons is sounding very attractive) Would love a space like that but with my furries all me bottles would end up under the couch in a heartbeat. Don't fancy having to clean dust & cathairs off me botles every time I wanted a fill up.

Hi Saphire & welcome Sure you'll soon get hubby aboard. I started out on the mini cigs, it was actually a look-a-like one that I bought for my OH but he didn't want to know with that. It was only when I got a bigger kit, bit like the Riva 1100 kit from Vapeescape (sorry don't know how to post links yet :-[ ) & he could see the e-liquid that he really took it on board. Nearly 2 months in neither of us have looked back since Edit: well maybe a couple of little glances over the shoulder, but no major u-turns.

Cheers for all the info on plinths guys, thought I was being a smartarse buying a mini that was already skirted. It was only after I'd got them that I realised I'd be stuck using them on anything but an ego Thinking about it you're probably also right about the amount of vapour the minis producing giving me problems. As an ex-rollie smoker using super large filters, I'm now producing twice as much vapour as I ever did smoke Re the head, again never thought of that. They were supposed to come with the 2.4 fitted, but when I went to change it realised that it was the 1.8 head that was in, & the only other thing I have a problem with are some DC cartos that I thought I'd try, & they come in at 1.5. I've now got the 2.4 in & there's defo an improvement, so I might just swap that for the 2.8 when it's next due for a clean. In fact think I'll leave the OH with all the low resistance stuff as he doesn't seem to be having any problems, but he did smoke more then me anyway. Just wondering if it might be worth trying a lower PG vapour, I'm currently on 70/30. I would like to get into mixing my own, so I could look at adjusting the ratio. Skwoddy - so glad it's not just my taste buds, but would that be the same if I recoil them myself, is it something to do with the silica wick ??? Flippin heck so much to learn, it's like being back at school, but in a far more fun way of course, with much nicer teachers

The straight plinth is what I have for an ego battery madcats, I dunno why your getting a bad taste, never heard anyone report that with the mini, strange one that is. Thanks very much Hun, couldn't figure out which bit I needed. The taste wasn't really bad & it was very faint but definitely there, gone now fortunately .Closest thing I could think of to compare it to was the paraffin, only cos I've just dug the heater out for the greenhouse.

So had my mini novas now for just over 1wk & while I'm generally impressed, build quality etc I've got one or two small issues. 1st is the draw, I'm finding it to be a harder draw then any other cartos / clearos I've used so far, which admittedly isn't alot, boges, ce5, E1s nothing fancy, and it kinda drys the top of my throat out instantly, to the point that I can't use it 1st thing in the morning cos it makes me cough , Don't know if that makes sense, it's almost like an irritation. I know it's not the juice cos I can put the same juice in anything else & no worries, & drinking fluids isn't the issue cos I must have at least a gallon of tea 1st thing to get me going. Its not a major problem cos I can just swich to something else, & the rest of the day it's not that bad. Luckly I got some ce2s at the same time & they'er perfect at any time of day, was just wondering if anybody else had come across this. OH has got a mini as well & he's not having any problems, in fact he loves his to bits. The other issue is new heads. Swapped the original head to give it a wash & noticed a faint sort of parafin taste coming off the new one, is this normal ??? if so will washing the remaining new head get rid of this taste, or again is it just me The last thing isn't really an issue but I bought the ones from vaping things that were already skirted to fit on an ego battery. Since the mantra of this site is backups for your backup, backups, thought I'd get another couple but the non skirted, so if I eventually progress from the egos I can still use them, what kind of plinth thingy do I need to cover the external battery threads & make it look like it belongs. Ta V much in advance

Don't beat yourself up, as you haven't started smoking again, you fancied a proper smoke, so did. Vaping isn't a miracle way of kicking the weed, but it does help folk to cut back & eventually stop. If I'd been on 40/60 a day, I know I'd be struggling now. So give yourself a chance & a pat on the back for the cigs that you've not smoked. Ditto, just think how much further you've got then if you'ed tried the NRTs. To get down to that level is brilliant.

Wow your near to vapeescape, lucky you , guess that means that you'll be pretty much sorted for grizwalds, but what flavours ???. Everyones tastes are different, normally I'd say I don't have a sweet tooth, don't do puddings, sweeties or chocolate but I am drawn to sweeter vapes. My favs are raspberry truffle, lots of peeps go for cherry but I think this beats it hands down. Banoffee cream, mint choc chip & gingerbread. Citirus spring is nice to freshen up your taste buds & I've heard the hypnotique comes well recommended. I also have apple, blueberry & grape from other vendors but I don't think they do samplers. Right now I have 5 different flavours on the go & if I get bored or itchy for a cig I just swap to a different flavour & that generally sorts me. It's also good you have an atty, dead easy to swap & try new flavours. Onedays advice is so totally true, it's not just the nicotine you're dealing with. Don't think anyone knows exactly how cigs affect us or what they put in us so it's always going to take time to let your body adjust. Stick with it mate, your doing really well so far & the advice on here is so sound.

Hi, I can only echo what the others have already said, but I also see that it's only 5 days since your last cig so there,s absolutely nothing to beat yourself up about. I would definitely go with the advice to try more flavours. RY4 is my main vape but if the taste buds go abit blah or I start to get bored with it I have quite a few different fruit flavours to chop & change with. Even the few occasions when I've thought having a cig would be good, if I change to a different flavour, thinking about that takes my thoughts away from having a cig. IMHO I think sometimes it's about breaking the habit of smoking by diverting yourself with something else, & analyzing new flavours does that for me. Also if you only buy a small menthol you can certainly add a few drops to your RY4 & you almost have mint humbugs , but I would use a different cart/clearo whatever so you don't contaminate everything with mint . Griswalds do a great pick & mix selection & their juices are really good.
