Tobacco is a lovely looking plant and left to its own devices it merely gives us the oxygen we breathe

What people choose to do with tobacco maybe a problem to some and that includes extracting its nicotine to make NRTs and eliquids.

That is why I do not support No Tobacco Day Womble.

Today is the grand opening of the first (and maybe -only!) CAM-VIP ebacconist at The Anglers Rest, Wombwell. The pub and therefore the shop opens at 12 noon and its initial stock is as follows;

Various disposables, Social Smokers, SDKs, Halo Minis, Echo Batteries and chargers, Vision eGo cartomisers, Bud tanks, other 510 cartomisers and a small selection of eliquid.

Throughout the day, you can buy a pint and a disposable for a FIVER and a football card will be running to win the choice of an SDK or a Halo Mini kit at 50p per team, but the main event starts at 7pm.


In the evening, some great prizes can be won by entering;

Pool and darts 'killer' competitions

A smoking and esmoking quiz

Raffles and possibly an auction




In addition to the usual crisps and nuts, other food is available;

Throughout the country, there are clusters of pub going vapers. The ones that instantly spring to mind are the Norwich crew, the South Yorkshire posse, the Manchester moshers and the Hull gang. Other clusters can be found in Edinburgh, West Wales, Cumbria, Glasgow, London, Aberdeen, Tamworth, Nottingham, Northampton, Tyne and Wear, Essex, Cardiff, Dorset etc. etc..

All of these places have good 'vaping pubs' that allow the use of ecigs but also are cracking places to socialise. Why not kill two birds with one stone and get the local 'vaping pub' to place group orders from the online vendors?

How will the vapers and the pubs benefit?

Let's say that the pub places the group orders once a month. Vapers, pop in for a pint during the month and tell the barkeep of their desires and place an order from x, y and z. The pub/or friendly trustworthy nominated vaper, places a big order to our friendly vendors, using 'discount codes' negotiated by CAM-VIP and the postage costs are kept to a minimum.

Each month, an 'Arrival Party' is held where the vapers meet up and are given their goodies as well as having a great sociable night in the pub.

The pub gains due to people boozing whilst making and collecting orders. The vapers gain by gaining 'bulk-ish' discounts and splitting the p&p. The smokers gain by being exposed to a viable alternative to tobacco. Community gains by people getting from behind their computers and meeting up in real life :tongue:

This event is different from the previous 'Stay Inside VIP Nights' has been organised by a vendor under the CAM-VIP banner. Our involvement in this one has been minimal except from promoting it on our site and the internet.

When we organised our own, we were relying on donations from vendors for the 'free disposables' and the raffle prizes. It meant that unless we got established vapers at the event, the smokers experience of ecigs on the night was limited.

Andrew has the ability to let people try different ecigs and flavours so that they can find the right esmoking experience for them so hopefully the interest from smokers will be much higher than what we were able to achieve on our own.

I will be there to show my support on the night but I've got my hospital appointment early in the morning, so I'll only be able to make it for the first part. Hopefully Andrew will be able to report back to us after the event, to give us some idea of its success.

If this model works, it would be great to see other small offline ecig vendors doing the same in pubs all over the country under the CAM-VIP umbrella
