Nice to read your news Greg and thanks for dropping by. Yes, things are a lot quieter now on here. Interesting your thoughts re. disposables, they certainly appear very mass market popular. Glad that you're back off the analogues. I'm still happy with an old squonk setup and cheapness of its running costs..... not sure how long 2ml / 600 puffs / 500mAh battery would work out for me .... I don't think very long! More put off/conflicted re. environmental issues of disposables, particularly their batteries.

It might be useful to let us know what flavours/eliquids you like, and maybe what eliquid PG/VG ratio that you are used to.
I assure you that once you get mixing it's really not that complicated (If you can make orange squash/cordial, it's much the same except you measure the critical components; flavour and nicotine).
But I'm here most days, so will be willing to help.

Personally I'd go for 7.2% (72mg/ml) nic in PG. (You don't need both) A litre of plain PG and VG seems reasonable.
I find mixing by volume, using a large syringe and large bore blunt needle the easiest; although some prefer mixing by weight. (If you mix by weight you need to account for the the different densities of the liquids).
I currently buy bottle shots (I think that's what they're called(!)), which are usually 250ml bottles with around 20-30ml of flavour already in the bottom, ready for nic, PG & VG. I calculate how much nic in PG to add and measure this into the bottle. Top up by eye to half a bottle with PG and then finish by filling the rest of the bottle with VG. Giving me a set nic concentration and approx. 50/50 PG/VG ratio.
If you are just buying flavour concentrates, you'll also need a few empty dropper bottles for putting your mixes into.
Also note that after mixing (esp. tobacco flavours) it's best letting them "step" or mature and infuse for a week or so.

There are online or downloadable calculators (as well as asking on here) that make the mixing easy. I believe that there are some suppliers of 72mg/ml nic out there (I have old stock that I still use, which is almost finished, so haven't bought any recently). If you're lucky and ask, you might get someone to PM you a link. ETA Mandy Perpetua might know.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. When you say 18mg..... it is actually 18mg/ml or 1.8% nicotine concentration (it is NOT the total nicotine).18mg/ml added to 18mg/ml is still 18mg/ml.... just more of it. Anything you add to the nic shot will dilute it. So, the strongest you can achieve is 18mg/ml by vaping just the nic shot, without any flavourings.
The only way is if you can get stronger nic liquid (e.g. 7.2% or 72mg/ml nic). This can be mixed with flavour concentrates, VG and PG to achieve 24mg/ml nic eliquid.

There was talk....a long time ago, that dry burning or dry burning too hot could release metal particles and oxides from the coil. Some of these might not be particularly good for you. This might be the reason that you have heard that it is best (in an ideal world) to change coils, rather than hot dry burn. Unfortunately.... I just dry burn my coil and rewick.

Any reply yet from Azhad Elixirs goodkidd ? No nothing, I've even asked the question on their Facebook page. Hopefully they can, I really don't want to pay over £20 shipping for a couple of bottles. There might also be import duties thanks to BREXIT

www.liitokala.com.cn/product/product619.htmlIt appears that the 8 bay charger will charge at 1A if all slots used or upto 2A if only 4 (alternate) slots are used (i.e. every other one left empty). Never heard of Liitokala before your post! Also note you would need an electrical adapter or UK plug version. What does you current Xstar charger charge at?

It looks like www.azhadelixirs.it/ is an Italian company. If their direct postage costs are too high to the UK, maybe drop them a message to enquire if they have any UK sales distributor/agent. This is their email address (from their website): ordini@azhadelixirs.it

I'm going to try the Sir Walter one first, that recommends 12%, and £14 is better than £30 (even with the discount ) to try it..
Not sure if our forum code still works for Vapeit UK Gra - worth a try for 25% discount, it's/was AAEC25
(Just tried "AAEC25" on a dummy basket..... doesn't appear to work anymore).
