That was an edumication, glad I have today off as the research alone takes a while. Got the NiFe30 working on an evic mini vt. The first job was to flash the firmware to 3.0, with the free fw from Joyetech. Then from here to set the temp coefficient, which for NiFe30 SV appears to be 500. Next select TCR M1 on the Evic (three button press, up button till TCR M1 mode shows). Coiled up a UD Bellus to try it out. I built a single 26 AWG 8 wrap coil, 3 mm diameter, spaced, it came out at 0.15 ohms. Firing it now at 23.5 W (a number extracted from my rectum) 430F TC and it appears to be performing nicely. Not too hot, but warm, and a nice jolt of flavour with full airflow open. This could have legs if dry burning the coil a la Kanthal is enough to keep the coil working, recoiling every 3 or so days does get to be a chore. E&OE (very likely). <-- confirmed! 0.40 mm not 40 awg

Is this stuff DNA200 only? I have a reel of 28 AWG NiFE from CrazyWire that could use an outing.

With 200W on 2 18650s, what's the min safe resistance? To the internets!
Two 18650s 3.7V in series, lets say Samsung 25Rs 2500mAH. Each max out at 20A . 40A in series.
Ohms law calc from Steam Engine : assuming 0.2 ohm resistance gives 31.62 A. Looks ok! 0.1 ohm though pushes it to 44.72A. Safe spot limit appears to be 0.13 ohms.
Is that right or is maffs harder than me?

Someone's not happy though... his capped out at 75W. Software upgrade needed or is that a safety feature?

Glad this thread came up, some of my older 18650s are starting to show signs of fade; they won't work now with the ipv4 (60W) on top of a evic VT, the mod points and laughs at them and says 'Weeeeak batterrryyyy!'. Order placed for 6 spanking new Torchy 18650 3000mAHs.

Gearbest : Cubis and Cubis heads. Cubis Cubis Cubis. Why is that name so catchy? Also a metric ton (15 actually) of spare Smok TFV4 heads from Vampire Vape.
