Smok TFV4 arrived today from Gearbest... hmm, I didn't order any extra coil heads, though it comes with 2 x Kanthal (1 triple and 1 quad coil) and a RBA I really should have ordered Ti and Ni heads as well. Because... hee hee hee, it guzzles juice like a mad thing, but makes a flipping huge amount of cloud (at 63 W with the triple coil the room is clouding up, literally...) and the flavour is superb. I don't want to go much beyond 60W on a single 18650 @ 0.2 ohms. Good fun, but you wouldn't take it to work (unless you work for the Met Office simulating overcast conditions indoors).

Shocking news about the DNA200s DiscoDes... Dave Dorn had 7 of them and 3 work! And Matt Gerrish was rightly berating 'pile em high and flog em quick' vendors for sticking piss weak batteries in a 200 W device - 30 minutes vape time before the battery goes flat, that's ridiculous. So glad I didn't succumb to the hype at the time and dish out for one. |

Still early in the hols for me, off work till the 4th. The highlight of today has been breaking into a bottle of Banoffee that I made in September especially for the Xmas hols... it's dark brown and smells and tastes deeliciousss  |

Different experience at work, the number of vapers has been climbing over the year I've been there. Not due to any proseltysing, I just quietly vape in the corner and every now and again someone asks about the juice or mod I'm using. Folk are making up their minds in their own time, sure some will swallow the antz crap being spewed out by the press, but others do their own research (which can be as straightforward as buying that vape kit from the garage they use) and decide to give it a punt.

Bump (see what I did there?). Thanks for the info guys - my mini has been spazzing out today, jumping out of tc, auto turning off on first press, the whole enchilada. The fix was to try a couple of different batteries; my older Torchys (a year old or more) resulted in the evic having a mental fit, popped a much newer Torchy in and it's fine. How very odd.

Had a Bellus for a few days this week and it's very cloud. The flavour is lacking, this being a single coil nickel build @ 0.18 ohms on a DNA40, but it performs well, is consistent in that the resistance doesn't bounce around, though that's more an indication of a good coiling on my part (which is very variable). The black model looks peachy on a black evic VT, though it's on the DNA40 now because the evic has gone all mental in the electronic head (again). "0.18 ohms? Must be kanthal! I'm switching to watts!" Stupid thing.

I've still got the half packet from 3 years ago, and when I smell it, it does nothing. However, when I'm sat next to someone who has just lit up, it does bring back memories, but after a few minutes it smells disgusting. You've obviously done well, so as everyone has said so many times, it's the ones you don't smoke that counts... hope your juice arrives soon... and keep BACKUPS! Can't agree more Raffles. Backups, and backups for backups Saved my bacon a while back when at my brother's 30th anniversary bash, another brother knocked my DNA40 off the table and it ded. Fortunately there was another mod in my backpack, so 5 minutes later I was back in vaping action. |

I ordered a UD Bellus yesterday on the QOV website, and just now one of their guys rang me to apologise that they were out of stock of the metallic silver version, but would I accept a black one? Not being hung up on device colours, that was fine by me. They're throwing in a free bottle of juice as recompense for adjusting the order. Good play guys.

One of the antz's favoured tactics is to decry the potential for ecigs to produce diacetyl, with the associated risk of developing popcorn lung. So in the interests of balance, someone has researched the level of diacetyl produced by an ecig, a cigarette, and a day at work in a factory producing popcorn : That chart. You'd have to vape an awful lot at ridiculously high temperatures to get anywhere near the risk even of smoking tabs. |

I had a good idea last week : recoil/rewick all my Kanger OCC heads (8 of them) in one go. By the 4th I was on autopilot, cut wind thread cap cut wind thread cap. The time flew by in a whorl of wicking. Unfortunately quality suffered, and all 8 were pants. Note to self : take more time and do it proper, padawan.
