I love the look of these mods and have seen great reviews for the clones from some American guys on youtube. One describes it as looking like "optimus prime's penis"! Love it! Both mods they reviewed were in black boxes with the words "it's your life, take it back". Does anyone know who makes this particular clone?
I guess there are good copies and bad so can anyone recommend a good one?
much appreciated

Lol - just picked up a kraken clone on ebay after watching a review. The guy set it up in about three minutes so looks simple enough. .. famous last words? We'll see!

crin766 What tanks & heads are you using? I've gone over to just using Nautilus Minis. I use the BVC coils until they are no good. Then I take the guts out of them, drill out 2 of the holes and put a microcoil in. I wick it with cotton tape. I use one tank for my home made GVC. I change the wick every 2nd refill which is probably about 4ml. I don't need to wash them as it's the same flavour so it's just a dry burn before putting a new wick in. About 5mins to rewick & refill. If I can't be bothered to rewick I just put a head in that I've already recoiled & wicked. Then I just have a dry burn, wash & rewick the accumulated heads once a week. Tried a rebuildable tank but only got one non leaking wicking out of many so gave it away. Spent the equivalent of many months of recoiling & rewicking the naughty heads and still failed. You are right about the sweet ones. Menthols & fruits the wick lasts for several refills. I started with mini nova but thats useless for sweet vapes so got the protank 2 which is better but not great.

I'm a genny vaper much less faff once mastered - which is much easier then some people say. I make the wick quite loose compared to what most vapers say they do. When it gets gunked, cleaning is - pull the wick out, wipe it on a tissue, dry burn the coil and brush the ashy stuff off with an inter dent tooth brush, replace the wick. Less than 2 minutes. I don't vape custard but most people say as Geordie SS is not as good with custard. I find it fine with chocolate fudge cake. I've found thicker Kanthal and a nearly touching coil is easiest to avoid hot spots. I use .32mm in my mini gennys and .4mm in my standard DID. I have a strong flavoured RY4 which works best in the standard DID, everything else tastes better in small gennys. No need to pay big bucks, the AGT £20 and AGA S £10 from Vapegear are fine. The design of a genny is so simple I can't imagine how the more expensive gennys can be better. A few things to bear in mind with a genny: A new wick takes 15 to 30 ml of juice through it to settle in Wicks last forever - the RY4 is my main all day vape, probably use it for 40% of my vaping. I bought the standard DID when they were on sale in January, it's still on its first wick. Gennys aren't fog machines - ideal if you vape a lot and don't want to get through gallons of juice. So they don't produce any more/better vapour than a clearo?
