Davey, just out of interest, did you stand outside the pub to vape with all of the smokers or did you vape inside?

Hi Davey,I am new to this too and am about 10 days ahead of you, you did well not to have any fags the first day, I had about 3 on day 1 then got it down to 0 over 3 days, What I have found to get a good drag is to take a few draws into your mouth to "stoke" it up a bit then inhale, as it is slightly different to drawing on a fag but so much more enjoyable  |

Well done Roy  It will take a while for you to get your sense of taste back & in fact there is a good chance your taste buds will play silly boogers for a while. You are right there Chrissie, for example, today what little sense of taste that I did have has disappeared completely  djsvapour,I know what you mean, I have never had a smokers cough either |

Well it's been just over a week now and I can't believe how easy it's been. The first day was a bit wobbly but after that it's been fine.
I had 2 fags on sunday then 1 on monday, then from tuesday onwards no fags at all, just vaping now and what an enjoyable experience it is.
I have been experimenting with different flavours and strengths, still not found the holy grail yet but fun trying. I found that the 18mg was a touch too strong so I ordered some 8mg, which was too weak, now i am mixing them together which seems about right ???
When I smoked I was smoking 20 Marlboro lights a day but only smoked about half of the fag and put it out so it's been a bit hit and miss with the strength.
I haven't had the coughing fits/black gunge yet (sorry) and the only thing I am disappointed about is I still have not got my sense of taste back, I hope all the rest of the newbies are coping as well as I am so let me know

Hi folks,thanks for the interest, well had a last fag last night about 5 30pm and not long after fired up the e go using gold and silver tobacco flavour juice 18mg and was very pleasantly surprised it was really nice, trouble was I think I liked it too much and vaped quite a lot and it ended up giving me a headache  Had a 4am start this morning to go to Middlesboro so it was up at 3, cup of coffee and instead of a fag another vape and off to work I went, now it was my intention to stop smoking all together but just in case it went pear shaped I did have some remaining fags left and I'm afraid at around 10 in the morning had to have a fag, it was not because I was craving nicotine I just felt really weird and uncomfortable and the fag took that horrible feeling away. Anyway first day, and through the day I had 2 more fags so 3 today after 34 years of 20 a day is unbelievable for me, no nicotine cravings at all, but I say I feel really strange, my throat feels a bit tickly and my chest feels funny (can't really explain the feeling. just different) but all good, it will just take a bit of getting used to after all these years of fags. I had to change flavours part way through the day as the gold and silver seemed to be getting a bit sickly sweet so changed to a silk cut flavour but yes, all in all success up to now  |

Hi all, after lurking for a while and doing about a week of research I have finally decided to join in the vaping scene. After ploughing through the overwhelming amount of different products and systems I have decided to order this www.vapeescape.co.uk/vape-escape-vision-1000-ultimate~397Any comments or advice on this as a newbie would be appreciated, I know I could have started on a cheaper system but reading through the forum, everyone seems to be upgrading constantly so I thought I may as well go for a higher end system now. One thing I would like to know is what strength of liquid to order, I smoke 20 Marlboro lights a day so at 0.5mg of nicotine = 10mg per day and I know the absorption rate is different with vaping so where does that leave me, also I would like to give up the cigs completely and swap to vaping straight away, is this possible? Anyway thanks for reading, I've got loads of questions, Roy |
