I have got a provisional date for a meeting with my MP for next week and am at present gathering some facts and figures. Does any one know where I can lay my hands on some figures on how many people are vaping throughout the UK and Europe? At the moment all I can find is hearsay and maybe that's all there is but if anyone can point me towards a useful link it would be appreciated

I got rid of menthol in a clearo by soaking it in cheap vodka

Don't just sit there looking at it (like I did ) get it going and start vaping and keep the rollies as a stand by Don't expect it to taste the same as your baccy, just look at it as changing brands

I bought a cheap half bottle of Vodka and have just soaked a clearo in the bottom of a cup with some, to get rid of a menthol flavour and it worked a treat God knows what it would do to your insides

According to the professional chemist at the beginning of this thread. don't expect flavoured nicotine to last as long as the nicotine only based juice
"From what I know about these chemicals, I expect the juice to last certainly much much longer than 24 months, and probably many years. This long term storage is for unflavored, and undiluted nic-juice only. I do not store flavored DIYs this way. I make them in relatively small quantities and vape them up before making more. Flavors are probably the most unstable part of e-juice, and the presence of water in them will hasten their decomposition into nasty tasting products. Fridge cold does not really change this a lot, it is dependent on the flavor itself. Fruits are especially prone, since they are esters that tend to hydrolyze to organic acids (sour, vinegar, vomit taste) and organic alcohols (wet-dog, funky taste)."

+1 with knobs and bells and whistles on. If nicotine had always been delivered in nice mugs with a fothy top, nobody would ever have had anything to say about "cutting down". If you aren't burning tobacco, that's all you need to worry about. [/quote] I don't think It's about cutting down, for me personally I have no intention of quiting nicotine, I'm quite happy to chuff away on my vision for the rest of my natural, it's about finding the right level of nicotine that you are used to from smoking fags for years

Hi cakey, I found that 18mg was a bit too much so I got some 8mg and find that I'm going through it too fast so I've been mixing the two together trying to find a happy medium. I would suggest that you do something similar and buy some weaker juice and seeing where you are with the best mix. or one or the other

I too struggle with flavour but I think I always have, my taste buds must be totally shot after years of smoking. I find it worse first thing in the morning then as the morning goes on I slowly regain some taste but by the end of the day it's pretty much gone, I would still rather vape than smoke though, at least I can taste something now and again, when I smoked I couldn't taste the tobacco anyway. I have been using mainly tobacco flavoured juices mixed with something sweet, which helps. I have ordered a sampler from Jason in menthol to see if that makes any difference

Hi smokeybebe, I would definitely go for one of the kits recommended here and forget about the lookalikes. I have recently quit a 30 odd year 20 a day habit and am now happily vaping and thoroughly enjoying it. My first day I think I had about 3 cigs and by about the 3rd day I had quit completely, no craving, no drama, dead easy and I thought I would never do it, just think like you are switching brands, go for it

Hi lobey, nice to hear from you,you don't realise it but you are my mentor. I am a member of the uk campsite forum, as are you (I very rarely post on there these days) but when I was thinking of giving up I came across the electric cigarette thread,a very long thread and that was where my research started and was particularly interested in your input especially when you put the you tube link on with Dave Dorn explaining the various types of e cig for beginners, which was what made me decide to buy the vision 1000 kit
So thanks mate and a happy new year

Thanks ladies I will try that rno that is so true about the car and just to add, throwing the fag end out of the window only to have it blow back in again, then trying to steer while fumbling around the floor trying to grab a burning cigarette end (not that i ever did that of course)

It's been over 2 weeks now and I am really enjoying the vaping experience, in fact in most ways I'm enjoying it more than smoking. here I am sitting in front of the TV with a beer vaping away, previously I would stand outside the back door with a fag getting blasted by the wind and rain because I hated the smell of smoke in the house.Even the dog likes it better, no more running away sneezing every time I lit up (there's nothing worse than an anti smoking dog) Just one minor niggle, I am using a v3 clearomiser and every now and again I will get a bit of juice coming up into my mouth, mainly when it's running low on juice, the drip tip is firmly screwed on an the O ring in place, any ideas anyone? ??? ???

Davey, if I where you I would get onto VapeEscape ASAP I believe they are there today and order a new battery and charger and sort it out with your vendor when they come back. If you can reach them before 3 o clock they will send it out today and it will be there tomorrow
