Does the juice being cold affect the flavour,i seem to get greater flavour when the juice is room temp but if i leave it by an open window it becomes bland.

I had the same problems,i don't know why it was different but when i used a head with a short wick instead of long all my problems went away.

UPDATE.
I thought after using all the different heads that were long wicks and having all those problems that i would try i 2.4ohm but with short wicks and it is totally different,no burnt taste no loss of flavour,nothing.I have no idea why it should be different but it's working fine now.

If it is a new home do NOT buy Wimpey,too many bad experiences with them and not the only one.When you look round a showhome beware the furniture is purposely small to make the rooms look bigger and check what does and does not come with it,they charge a lot of money for things such as extra sockets,aerials,ovens,cookers,lights,etc etc.
