I am behaving like a child

I have been too scared to post anything about this before for fear of a backlash, but, I have been soooooo excited as a week today I am due to get my Motability car. I hd to cancel my first order due to strike action at the Ford plant in Belgium. I have been housebound since November. The only time i can go out of the house is if my daughter can take me somewhere, but she has 2 kids which means i am lucky if it is once a week. I cannot complain. Its good of her to help me.
Anyway... I am now getting a Qashqai. The excitement is so bad, i am like a small child on the run up to christmas!!

I even put the countdown on my phone crossing off each day like an advent calender
I have never had a brand new car in my life. OK, i know i do not own it, I am paying a lease on it out of my disability allowance. Those who have never had mobility problems have no idea how much this means to me. The thought of being able to go out whenever i like will be a real treat. I hate relying on other people.
I night have to take a double dose of morphine on Sunday night because i wont be able to sleep!! Roll on Monday

A few weeks ago, during the snow, I left the car and went to work by public transport, a bl**dy nightmare, so I know how you must be feeling to have your independence. Good for you, and ENJOY!

LOL.. well, to tell you the truth, i have been worried sick about scraping it or denting it. We have a very narrow diveway Thankfully it will have those electric folding mirrors on so at least that will stop them getting a knock. When it goes back to Motability, if you have looked after it well they give you £250 so i shall do my best.

Yes, i hate it so much. Being the oldest one left in our family, I have always been seen as the matriachal figure. The one that everyone turns to. It doesnt sit well being the one who cannot do stuff.

Aw thats great news Dolly, im not surprised you are so excited, thats allowed lol. I dont drive (Failed my test twice years ago) and hate having to rely on others.

Yes, i have it all planned Sadie. Mr Dolly has a day off so we are going into London and up that new building called The Shard. Tallest building in Europe apparently.
