Vivi Nova Again - Help

Hi,

I thought i would give the Vivi Nova another try as my previous ones i have had have all had a burnt taste, so i thought 3rd time lucky.

So i purchased this: CLICKY

I have done the triangle slots on the rubber top on each side to let it wick better, it is fitted with 2.8ohm head, using on my ego twist @ 4.2v

Still getting that icky burnt taste

Any ideas

p.s Don't fancy going down the re-coiling route.

I would send it back if that v tip doesn't work or rewick, sounds like the wick to me. If you cant rewick it send it, to me and i'll rewick for you.

Thanks for the offer bomber but i think i will just put it with non used goods i have, i think i just don't like vivi's or they don't like me

I've got four Vision Vivi Nova's from VE and not had a problem with any of them...........yet.

It seems random to me. I only ever had one full sized Nova (from VE) and it was most unimpressive.
All the minis from VE have been simply brilliant (they only look like 1/2 brothers if you ask me... ???)
and my mini "copy" was shocking....until I tweaked it, then gave it to JeffC.

You'd think wick is wick, but I'm beginning to think differently....

The reason I'm not into RDAs is because all I can ever taste is ???? (not juice)...

Some of them seem to need rewicking and they will be better after that, I'd take up bombers generous offer and see if it makes any difference for you.

Gonna put it on classified when the new heads get to me so i can put 1xvivi and 4 heads.

I think it is just me as anything with the string wick thingy just tastes weird to me, even when i had the aga-t+ thing fully wicked.

The only thing that agree's with me is Carto or Carto+Tank

Try the 2.4 thingy. Might help. That's what I use mainly

I had the same thing bomber and then they all went wrong for me. I don't know why and no vivi after that has worked for me.
I think it's partly down to the base build, some of the factory coils are terrible and wouldn't work out of the box for me.

Just noticed you said your useing your twist at 4.2 volts . Have ya tried turning the voltage down a bit until the coil breaks in. I all ways start on a low volt setting. Then i turn the voltage up a bit at a time. I also find with the vivi novas you don't get any real flavour from the first lot of juice you put in . I find they take at least one full tank to break in properly.

Personally I think 4.2 is too high for a Nova so it could be burning.
I generally run Novas between 3 and 3.7 or I get burnt juice.

In my limited experience of Mini Novas, I have found:
a) they do need two of three tanks of juice before they work at full belt
b) they seem to work best for me at 7w on my Vamo
c) I always use 1.8ohm heads, and these produce just the right taste etc.
Hope this helps - I would be tempted to persevere with a lower rated head and see what happens after a few tanks of juice.
