I worked for Toyota/Lexus for a year and promised myself oneday a Lexus. I'm on my second one now, a GS430 which I thought would last me for life, but on Thursday it stopped, guess an electrical problem, just waiting for my mechanic to report back, I'm just dreading the ECU has packed up, that will cost more than the cars worth, such a shame as it's a wonderful car, what do you do ? pay the over the top prices or throw away a beautiful car ? Lets hope it's something simple and i'm looking at worse scenario.

When I was young an uncle left me after death a 1920's wind up turntable with records and spare needles, at the time lived with mum and dad, one day in fit of madness my dad handed it all over to the dustmen, what would that be worth now, I hate to think, but heho these things happen.

My awnser is don't have a smartphone, ditched mine years ago because of the poor battery life, don't need to be tied to charger everyday (thats for the Istick lol). I now have a £50 dual sim basic phone, does job and only charge it once a week. MP We haven't got smartphones but our online banking now requires that we have them in order to carry out transactions online. This is a new thing so I went to our bank last week and asked the bank manager what we were supposed to do as we don't own any smartphones and she said "you'll have to buy them" I couldn't believe that the bank was literally making us buy smartphones or do away with our online banking facility. What is the world coming to I've now ordered 2 cheap ones from China (FT) as they are sooooooo expensive over here. Will use eset smart security to protect them. Already spoken to eset as they already cover my computer and my 'ol man's laptop so it won't cost too much more to put the 2 phones on my licence apparently. Got no idea how these smartphones work, how to set them up or anything lol. Am an old timer when it comes to a phone, just dial up and speak, send the odd text now and then haha. Our company account was with HSBC and basically in the end they were saying if we did not bank online they could not handle our account we switched to Natwest, telling them we did not want online banking, but we ended up with internet access just to check payments in, what they did not tell me was the the £22.50 a month just to access this and now everytime theres a problem they tell me I should have done it online, despite the fact that two weeks ago the whole system was out of order for the whole day, banks seem to think you work for them, despite the fact they sitting on your money. Rant over lol. MP

We tried seeing this in New York couple of years ago, last minute tickets were £150 !! and the theater in a low rent area that I did not fancy after dark, so maybe the London one worth a punt as on our doorstep.
Thanks for review.

I'll just add this. Q your hints for travelers wise words, but it does seem to vary, last year flew to states, I had 150 ml of juice stashed in hold luggage, usual precautions sealed in zip lock bags and placed in sealable food container, not hint of leak, I also had a half finished carto tank at departures, sealed it in zip lock thinking this will be mess on arrival, leaked no more than it would in my pocket on usual day, it does seem to vary between aircraft, have had some real disasters. As for vaping when away, California was awkward, they very anti smoking and pile you in with the smokers, stealth all the way. Nevada, no problems, vape anywhere (don't know about restaurants as I never do that), in fact in Nevada I think you can do anything anywhere, although I resisted the temptation for Elvis to marry us lol. I have a problem, normally buy my Dekang standard tobacco juice from Zainy in China, but suddenly realised down to one bottle right in the middle of the Chinese new year holiday, got some on order but not even a shipping advice yet so going to need some to tie me over. Any ideas ? I did buy some many years ago from a company in Birmingham, they were keen priced and quick delivery, but unfortunately lost their details. Thanks in advance, and do not be offended if I do not type my thanks, as due to builders at home I cannot get to PC often. MP myepack has dekang juices myepack.co.uk/e-liquids-silver-label/tobacco-flavour.htmlNot sure if they have your flavour Thanks for that, shame as they quite close to where I live, but I'm looking for standard stuff not the silver range, been there tried it threw it away lol. But thanks again for looking. MP

It's bit off subject, but on radio today they said major manufacturers starting to recall Tumble Dryers, due to them catching fire, took a few peoples life getting ruined for them to realise, I know you should not leave them unattended (not got one myself) but people trust big name companies to supply goods that are not going to inferno house. Where do you go unless your an electronics expert (as some obviously are on here), you pay high prices for better quality and it all turns out same, manufacturers just paying FT prices to sell at bigger mark up. Just my thoughts !!!

Hurrah to steve386See you've saved me from nearly 50,000 fags, god it dont bear thinking about, the damage and costs. On the plus side "The Times" today warned that vaping while pregnant is dangerous, so off to doctor to get what I need, don't need to get pregnant at my time of life MP

and not clever enough to be on mobile internet !! MP If you use a tablet, then it's quite straightforward mart166 and I find more user friendly than a mobiles limited screen size. You need to create a Wi-Fi ' hotspot ' on your phone - you should find the option on your mobile's settings. You can then tether a device to that connection. www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/mobile-phone/how-use-your-smartphone-as-wi-fi-hotspot-ios-android-windows-phone-3441165/I don't use it very often, but it is handy to have as a ummmm back up. With my contract, I also get X amount of normal broadband time, so I can and have utilized it on my lap top when Virgin has been broken. It looks like they had a major power outage while replacing some hardware. Things are starting to come back online, but I guess they are working on the higher priority stuff first. Thank you for the update Steve . . . I do miss seeing your lovely banner - it's been part of my vaping life for so long now! At least we're relatively hopeful of having it back up and running again now . . . . even if it means being patient. Thanks for advice. I'm well up on this, got tablet, got wifi dongle, just getting lazy, i'm old school computers, nothing beats a nice wide screen in front of you and a decent keyboard, a nice old fashioned phone when the battery lasts a week, and if you like me on facebook your better than me as do not have account, did have one on friends reunited, only social I had and that went tits up last week lol along with a lot of us dinosaurs, last message I put on there and think last message ever on there was death of classmate, nobody replied !!! Am I getting old ??? No windows XP fine lol MP
