Another tip I found was to roll the wick material with a needle in it to get a straw effect. I havent needed to try that yet tho. Andy I did that both times but read somewhere you shouldn't be able to see light through the middle, i guess I've squeezed the life out of it

Thanks Andy that seems to be the recurring theme, I'll have to wait for more mesh, could suggest a day trip to York or Edinburgh (b&m shops) but doubt I'd manage not to blow my cover, OH might find that just a tad too convenient!

If you can sneak that lot in from your wife's pay packet you are well on your way to ninja status grasshopper! The theory is that towards the end of the month when my funds are dwindling she might not notice a few bob here and there when both our wages hit the bank, maybe! To be honest she's been great about it, just glad I'm not smoking.

Way I do it is to wind 4-5 times 0.2 wire round a 2mm drill bit then with the coil still on , stick the drillbit down the wicks hole. Andy Did the drill bit but not the let the wick spring out to touch the coil just pulled the coil tighter to the wick, not getting any hotspots when I drip onto it but a little one at the top terminal when it hurt the juice off. This could drive me crackers. Think I prob need to loosen the roll a bit. Worth a try.

I don't know what the mesh size is as its what came with the aga, I'm vaping 50/50 in it at the mo. I'll have a go at loosening the roll and stick some 70/30 in tomorrow. Just waiting till midnight for the wife's pay to go in so I can Ninja in a more covert fashion and get some more mesh and wire, probs should get some juice as well to go with the new vamo that's coming also, maybe another vivi aaaggghhhhh!

I'm from the Toon and when I started playing on-line poker in 2008 I thought Toondog was a cool poker name as in ruff around the edges, from the toon, however most non Brits assume I mean cartoon dog so it didn't really have the impact I hoped for! I've just grown so used to using it on forums for fly fishing, guitars and poker it would've seemed strange to use anything else.

Well my adventure with my new aga T+ continues, at least it's not bursting into flame any more! My problem is this, it's just not wicking, I've rolled the mesh as tight as possible you can't see light when you look through it, it's super oxidised, burnt juice of it at least twenty times on it unrolled it took a bit off to make it thinner, rolled it back up ( after oxidising again) nice and tight, but it's just not drawing the juice up! I only have the one piece of mesh that came with it at the mo but the wick to my untrained eye appears fine. Res is 1.6 ohms, I can't think of anything else. Took the filler screw out swished it swirled it! What am I not doing?? Help!!!!

lol, The explosions are probably just juice pops, frightened the hell out of me the first time, as for the catching fire im stumped, unless you paid £1.35 a litre from a local forecourt? No not juice pops had plenty of them, this was a definite ignition related event! I don't think it's a short as the resistance has remained constant both coils, obviously not after the first one popped, I think I'm leaning towards the not wicking thing, it's not soaked in juice and ignites after about 3 or four seconds. Any ideas how to improve the wicking? I only got one price of mesh with the bloody thing so will have to work with what I've got. What are the odds of un-rolling the wick and maybe cutting a length off to make it looser helping? I oxidised it after I rolled it. It's definitely oxidised, perhaps too much, it's jet black! Determined to get this to work as just burning the juice I dripped on the wick smelled so much stronger flavour wise than anything I've experienced before. Any more clues?

Yep I oxidised it and both times I coiled it it read 2.8 ohms at a every stage even when it was catching fire, I had it on 8 watts for starters and went all the way down to 6 and its still doing it, even with the cap on, there was a little explosion when I was taking a draw, nearly sh@t myself. I've put it back in the cupboard till I find out what's going wrong

I've just set up my new aga t+ first go and errrr... the ss wick keeps catching fire and now it just blown! What?!?! Didn't even know juice was flammable! The coil read 2.7 ohm on my vamo before it gave in. What gone wrong? I'm confused as it looked great! Didn't dare put the cap on and have a draw!
Heeeelp!!!!

I "do" GVC. A LOT. I also do many other sweet vapes and have 3 on order (expected tomorrow). I have no trouble on the sweet front....it's tobacco that's been an issue of late. I will send you a secret PM (oooh) to report on the secret juice I have coming from a very secret place. That's sounds exciting, thanks very much!

Okeykokey, I'm really really chuffed to have done three weeks off the cigs, my wife and my son can't believe it and neither can I to be honest. A huge part of that is down to you lot pointing me in the right direction and for that I am truly grateful. Right! Here's the news! I think I might be ready for the sweet stuff! So far I've almost exclusively vaped tobacco flavours, HS storm and Ry4 being my introduction and I've REALLY been enjoying the authentic tobaccos from vapology, flu cured and fire cured in particular, the only non tobacco I've tried really is hot toddy also from vapology and I've quite enjoyed that, so what I'm asking is can you recommend a good sweet juice to try? I've heard a lot of you wax lyrical about GVC, where do you get that from? I like vanilla so I think that would be a good start. Any more suggestions? Once again
Thank you very much
Chris.

I love the HS storm from VE and also Fire cured from vapology, both very flavoursome and not sweet.
