Brilliant video Greg... anyone watching that, and still smoking, needs some brain surgery, never mind anything else. As you so rightly imply, us vapers are getting the best of both worlds, we still get the satisfaction we used to get from cigarettes, but it's now even better with all the different juices, and none of the harm. However words will never convince them, they have to try it, and seeing a video such as yours is a far better way of doing that. Thanks for putting it out there. Haven't you taught the ferrets to push the button on your devices yet? Raffles, thanks for your comments. I've tried with several friends that just refuse to give it a go. I've also turned on & into full time vapors several friends and my cousin. My main concerns lately are the money & influence from all the pharmaceuticals, tobacco and other related rich corporations who find this a real threat to their bottom lines. I know the money influence is a real big problem over there too. Once the lame-stream media starts publishing some good facts about this, I think we'll see a big upswing in vaping globally. I talk to so many still mis-informed people telling me that there's antifreeze in that stuff, GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR. Sorry, but you see how I react to this nonsense. It really pushes my buttons when people won't take 1 hour to research something, but they'll listen to misinformation on the national news and all of a sudden that's gospel truth. I really am one of the nicest, easiest going people you'll ever meet, but again that one issue pushes my magic button. I'm done ranting again, sorry, Greg

Great video there Quackster, and I am glad to see that you are on the mend. I am just about to finish my coffee, then I will be taking my ferret for a walk in our local park. Your good health sir. Thank you. We have 5 ferrets we refer to as our kids. We've got a public park & playground about 300 feet from our house. The kids in the park love it when we bring them up there, on leashes of course. So lovable, but the attention span of a gnat. Thanks again, Greg

What a heart warming video. So glad you allowed us to see it. I am thinking it might be of some use to ECITA in fighting our case withe the EU? Might be worth a try. I did laugh at the ferrets. I have three cats. When I smoked, one of them would jump onto my lap when she saw me get one out of the pack, waited till I put it in my mouth then grab the end of it and run away with it!! She is obviously an anti smoking cat I wish you all the best and hope you have many more years vaping left in you. Thanks for your kind words too. PLEASE use it anywhere it may help in our battle with government agencies & pharmaceutical money, influence & lobbying. Thanks so much, Greg

What a brilliant story Greg. I am going to post this on the AAE-C Facebook page to try and get more people to see it. You seem to be a really nice person and I am so sorry you had to go through what you did, your story really did bring a tear to my eye. On the up side, you are getting better and you discovered vaping! I just hope vaping doesn't get banned, cigarettes and cigars are the things that should be banned as they are proven killers, the problem is that fat cats that get rich from people killing themselves and they have the money and power to keep the governments quiet and leave the tobacco companies alone. If they used their power and money to develop even better vaping products then they would still make a tidy sum of money from it, their customers wouldn't die from it and so they would have customers for much longer too. Its a shame about your friend refusing to give vaping a go, maybe he thinks he has no hope and doesn't see the point, don't give up on him though, keep going on at him! Love your ferrets too, I have 2 myself called Ben & Jerry which I got from a ferret rescue place July 2012, they are great fun and really lift your spirits when you're feeling down Thank you for posting your video, you are an inspiration! Thanks Simate for your kind words & sharing this. Also thanks for embedding the language warning in my post. I should have done that myself, Sorry. Thanks again, Greg

Take care how big you do go enlarging the wick hole check underneath the center pin hole is quite large It is closer than most people probably think. Good point.

Skwoddy it's rolled fairly tight with about 3/4 to 1mm hole. Pic attached. (Hope I'm doing this right) Thanks again Quackster, I wonder if it might be worth making a straw type thereby moving the gap round the edge of the wick to the middle of the wick, hopefully reducing spil chance and improving capillary action through the centre of the wick. (not that it needs help though). Good stuff Quackster, Thanks again. I intentionally kept my wick considerably smaller than the wick hole to help with wicking. From everything I've read especially over at ecf, there's been a lot of discussion how having the wick tight to the wick wall creates too much surface tension which seems to inhibit the capillary action of the wick. I can really only say that with my experiments I can take the same wick I had tight to the wall out, tighten it up so it's a smaller diameter in there and it does wick better. My opinion, not a scientific fact is that having some space between the wick & the wall helps a lot.

Great tip and makes perfect sense to do this.. Will drill mine out tomorrow with a 5mm bit and try.. Keep a lot of pressure inward towards the positive post, otherwise you may drill into the threaded area. Best approach is to clamp it down in a drill press. I was going to go that route but my garage isn't heated & it's too damned cold here to be out there.

wow thats vaping like a steam train, looks like your starting off a new trend . No, I doubt it. I'm always behind the curve with things like this. I'm sure some one else must have done this and I've missed their posts or info. As I said on another forum the increase in vapor is fair but for me it's about the quest for the best flavor over vapor production. Throat hit is noticeably better too.

Forgot to mention in my original post that with the 100mm wick, the heating is much quicker and flavor is still spot on. Less metal to heat does make a big difference. In the past I thought the differences would have been negligible. I was wrong. There is about 1 to 1-1/2mm of space around the wick so with the wick not being tight to the wick hole I think that is helping the capillary action a lot.
