if you're testing flavour only, worrying about the nic content is not too much of a concern imho keep the ml low so you're not wasting liquids and build upwards keep baccy % low ... up to 5% initially unless you have found a base you really like. Some concentrates can seriously overpower other flavours - I found that out with TPA DK Tobacco base. Good point Ash never thought about that before, you can get 500ml of PG for about a fiver and make small no nic batches to see if you like the taste, once you get a winner mix it with the more expensive nic base, even although you are wasting flavour it will just be a small amount of each so cost is minimal

& just to verify, if I mix the tobacco up first ( with nic base & PG/VG), when I do the additional flavour/s, I need to make it as a seperate mix i.e. with nic base & PG/VG Thats the way I do it so it will keep the nic strength the same, if you mix flavour at 5% then add more later it will reduce the nic content

I have always tried to keep my vaping spending to less than one half of what I would have been spending had I continued to smoke the amount that I was smoking and I can think of no reason that that would have changed in any way. However, since getting the Zmax and 2 Spheroids and being so happy with these three units I have had no inklings to buy anything more other than the odd sample of juice to try out. I still have all the eGo batteries, clearos and tanks that I have bought over the past 7 and a bit months and when these eventually fail they will not be replaced. With a ProVari as a back up, I may treat myself to another VW mod next Christmas, but since getting the Zmax, thanks to the forum's co-op buy, nothing new has come on the market with the come and buy me sticker on it. And judging by the problems that many members seem to be having with the Vamo, anything that does appear in the future will have to be truly tried and tested before I would be tempted in that direction. Now that we are heading for a long, hot, summer, my Shekels will be put away in my Sporran for more important things like Ice Creams, Lettered Rock and Kiss Me Quick Hats. More like umbrella's and midgey deterent if last summer was anything to go by

Still pretty new to mixing myself but I find I tend to get the best results when I mix things as single flavours and 'blend' them once they have steeped a bit.
Doing it this way you can try lots of different flavours using several base flavours by mixing really small quantities of two or more and tasting them with a dripper, if they are minging strike that off your list, if it's nice note down what was in it and try a 5ml batch for your atty.
The one thing I have learned is write down EXACTLY what you put in your mixes so if you strike gold with one it is so easy to make it again and again.

Instead of ditching them cause they are too stong could you not mix up your next batch with just a weaker version of the other flavours and once they have steeped get a small bottle of the new flavour and add a little at a time of the old one until it is vapeable. Have made a few mingers myself but most end up vapeable if blended with others. Just a thought Stu It's a thought....maybe just make up a few sample flavours without the tobacco.....as long as it doesn't weaken them too much. As long as you mix the ones you have mixed up already together it won't weaken the nic at all it will just change the taste ie 2ml of 20mg tobbaco mixed with 3ml 20mg new mix will make 5ml 20mg tobacco/ new mix juice

I've decided to ditch the various mixes I've done & start again.....Too much faffing about with %'s.........I've made all of them up at 20% flavourings, using a tobacco & another flavour....Thing is, I've put 15% tobacco & 5% other flavour & I'm sure that can't be right.....I reckon, reading some of the recipes, that the tobacco should start around 3-4% & the other flavour/s around 8-10%....in other words, the opposite to what I'm doing. Just a thought Stu

Vaping must be working for you ... is it the hobby-side of the forum that is incurring the costs? I have to say I think since I have been here, my spending has increased and I am now trying to exercise some self-control in what I purchase. I've bought 2 expensive mods which should last a lifetime and 3-4 good rebuildable atomisers. The rest is now liquid and consumables for me. I've resisted the urge to buy the stuff I've not tried yet, T3's, evod,'s,evic's etc etc I'm a completist and want to collect everything .... we just need to recognise when we get something that works to stick with it.... and understand that most devices are battery holders and its aesthetics that urge us to buy. I never bought a cigarette because of what the pack looked like. It's Friday night ... discount night and with a bottle of red I now have to resist looking at vape sites ... generally when I cave in and make stupid purchases. Beat the urge, stay on the forum and become our spending guardian angel :-) you sound like me ash but as you have resisted I havn't ive bought it all, havn't got all the mods but i have most clearomisors vivs, evods, t3, ebuildables ect i'll soon need a pallet truck to move my back ups box . Bomber If you have that much kit that you don't need how do you not put the stuff you won't use again in the classified here or sell it on to your mates and it will give you a little extra to feed your 'hobby'. If not just come on here a bit less and avoid the shopping section. tbh I spend a fortune on kit too but come on here as much for the friendly crack as vaping issues, if you jack this mate you will probably miss this lot more than the money

These ones are only 18g and so a bit small bore for drawing up VG would be ok for flavours. Tried 18g ones before and it was like trying to sook a golf ball up a garden hose lol Indeed! I'm successfully using a 14g one but they don't seem easy to come by. I've popped a 16g one onto another order to try The 10cm long ones from ebay are quoted at 1.6mm which should be 14g have sent away for 3 packs so if they are any good you can have one to try if you want

Like everthing I suppose you only get what you pay for, the batteries and charger that came with my Vamo were only an exta couple of quid compared to the body alone so it was no surprise that they looked cheap and nasty but they work ok but don't expect them to last very long. Have now changed the batteries and charger to better ones but will keep the cheapo's as backups cause it always better to have spares, even shitty ones buys you a bit of time when you need to get replacements Yep me too although I'm gonna have to get at least another one x 18650 as I've been waiting over three hours for it to charge... Where did you get yours? Got the charger from here for £19.24 using disount code ecr69 brilliant charger 4 batteries at a time and a lot quicker than the crappy one that came with the Vamo www.ecigwizard.com/accessories/bc/chargers/nitecore-intellicharge-i4-charger.htmland the batteries from Torchy link is a few post back

So are the batts that come with it sh!t? I've got a 18650 I use for my LT and a 18350 I got with my smok gripper which I am using. I will keep the ones supplied only as exteme back ups...
