i would definately try lifting the centre pin, the 1100mah battery roughly last 900 puffs, well that is what the manufactors claim always thought exactly what to they decided what a puff is[ yes heard that joke lol] could be a 1 sec inhale or is it min of a 5 sec inhale....so Evic owners with puff counters do a test , does the puff counter reduce per use or ie try a 1 sec or 5 sec puff reduce counter still one at time Yep I always wondered how they could claim x amount of puffs per charge and how they could work it out! LOL never knew there were devices that had counters on them either

Thanks esme and punisher I wouldn't say I'm a heavy vaper a 10ml bottle lasts me around 8 or 9 days! I'm using 2.4 ohm clearos The batteries say Ego T on them and are 1100 mah not variable voltage with a blue light ah ok 10ml last me a day so its not heavy vaping LOL I take it that makes me a total lightweight at vaping then Hi Sadie The centre pin seems fine I've had to lift it once before on one of the batteries but I checked it today and it's ok. Hi robby yep the light changes red to green! I understand that batteries start to lose charge as they get older but I didn't expect them to start dying at 6 weeks old if it's the first ones we bought. If they are the ones from the later double kit they are only around 4 weeks old.

Thanks deesigner I'm going to try contacting the vendor! I just wanted to check how long other people were getting out of them before I did anything! LOL I was told when I started that clearos only last a few weeks but at this rate my original clearo is going to outlast the batteries

Thanks rosco!
I've been cleaning the contacts with a cotton bud regularly and making sure there's no juice leaked onto the contact points and the contact pins seem ok. I get an instant connection light when I put it on charge!

How long should I expect Ego batteries to last?
I bought my first Ego kit at the start of january but only bought a single kit til I seen if vaping was for me. 2 weeks later I went halfs with my friend on a double kit so we both had a spare kit and it was cheaper than buying 2.
My friend was round the other day and said one of his batteries wasn't holding a charge anymore and only lasts around 2 hours. As I usually top up the charge in mine I hadn't noticed but after trying them one lasted most of the day yesterday and the other one has only lasted 2 1/2 hours this morning.
The batteries are all 1100mah I know that batteries deteriorate over time but I didn't expect them to go this quick especially when they are getting swapped around regularly!

I've had the odd ciggie usually when booze is involved or I've been really stressed but I'm not going to beat myself up over a couple of ciggies as it's still a huge improvement compared to the 20-25 a day I smoked before. Do whatever works for you everybody is different but don't worry if you end up having the odd ciggie at least with vaping you can get back on track easily.

Haha Tiramisu does sound odd doesn't it, although one of my favourite deserts so another one to keep in mind. Thanks to this forum I've just been able to help out a mate too. He has been using a nicolite disposable (don't worry I'm educating him now) and just called me to ask if using it makes you lose taste and smell. Due to reading here yesterday I was able to tell him, it's because he isn't smoking and his taste buds are kind of resetting and he should keep at it as his taste will return. A perfect example in practice of why folks recommend menthol! Haha that's what we like to see you'll soon be educating and converting all your mates to vaping I think so far I've converted about 9 people to vaping but the best one was a lady who I got talking to at the bus stop after she asked about my Ego kit. Ended up letting her try it and pointed her in the direction of the local vape shop. I was really chuffed when she was standing at the bus stop 2 days later thanking me as she'd managed to stop smoking and showing me her new Ego kit Ps if you can suffer the menthol it's a great way of killing the taste of any juices you don't like

I've only been on 2 flights since I started vaping and ended up just having a quick stealth vape in the loo. No problem with the smoke detectors although I was careful not to create tons of vapour or blow it anywhere near the alarm just in case

Hi sjs What you are saying about tobacco flavours seems to be the general opinion here, so wish I'd been a little more adventurous with my first order now. The free samples offer from Feri seems an excellent opportunity to try out some more fruity and exotic flavours though so cannot thank you enough for the link. Seriously everyone, I've been a member of various forums for various interests over the years, but do not think I have ever had such a warm welcome and helpful information in such a short space of time. I think most of us did the same when we started vaping and looked for tobacco flavours first like I said if you don't like them try mixing something else with them I can remember standing in the shop when I bought my kit talking to a long time vaper who was telling me about the tiramisu he was vaping and at the time I was thinking why the heck would anyone want to smoke tiramisu! LOL a week later I was the one asking for apple pie flavour Yep this is one of the best forums I've ever been on as well!

Hi and welcome mrmshaw I thought I would only want tobacco flavours when I started but now the only one I regularly use is a blueberry tobacco one the rest are all non tobacco flavours. Don't give up on any juices you don't like at the start try them again in a few weeks if you still dislike them try mixing them with something else. 2 of my original tobacco juices were horrible but mixed one with cherry and the other with caramel and they were lovely. Great offer for some free samples here if you want to try a few different flavours allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/14679/royalvapor-mystic-juice-free-trials?page=22#page=1Happy vaping
