Buying a Riva, Need advice on Juice flavours.

Hi all

After spending the whole day dumbfounding myself on what starter kit to buy on various forums and review sites, I've finally decided to take the plunge and buy a RIVA 1100 from Vapescape after reading the excellent and clear advice on this forum.

Along with the riva I have also decided to buy 4 x 5ml sample bottles but not sure what ones to try.

Currently I smoke around 1/2 oz of rolling tobacco per day and currently smoke B&H silver, for no other reason than it is on offer. It's not the best flavour but it's sufficient for my nicotine cravings and hit on the throat.

I was thinking of ordering strong, to medium to light tobacco flavours in the hope of slowly weaning myself away from Tobacco flavours all together.

This is what I have on my order list, but not confirmed the order just yet: What do you think, should I add or remove any?

1. Deluxe
2. USA Mix (I smoked Marlbro when smoking cigs)
3. Winson
4. Silky

The Riva is a very popular kit for newbies, I'm sure you'll love it!

It really is difficult to recommend flavours, everyones taste is different! Out of your list I've only tried Delux, I quite like it!

One of my favourite juices is from VE, Grizwalds Black Cat!

only buy small 5 - 10 ml bottles at the moment until you find what you like, good luck

Hi Karma thank you the welcome and reply.

I chose the Riva because of what has been said about it here and someone saying your best off buying quality first off as you'll only end up laying out more cash later if you don't. It makes sense to me.

I looked for Black Cat & Old Holby on account of recommendations on this site and have just looked for Grizwalds.
Do not know if I'm missing a trick, but I cannot find them on VE in either 10ml or 5ml bottles?

EDITED: Just found them, I was clicking on the 5ml and 10ml links and not the Grizwalds link. DOH!, once again thank you.

The Riva is a good choice. As far as juices are concerned, I would also recommend Grizwald's. If you're going to get 4 bottles, you might want to get 2 tobacco types and 2 others, just for a bit of variety...

Thank you sleepy duck. I was thinking that too and may go for vanilla, but I have never been keen on flavoured cigs. Although I only ever tried Cherry and Menthol. Positively detest menthol.

Flavoured juices are very different from flavoured cigs. When I started, I expected that I would be sticking with tobacco flavours, but I'm vaping coconut caramel with hazelnut honey right now, and other favourites include egg custard tart and lemon meringue pie

What got me off roll-ups was DF Old Holborn from OK Smokey. I wouldn't buy anything from them except juice though.

Lots of people enjoy vaping tastes that they'd never dream of smoking, so it is best to try the fruit & drink flavours too.

Gosh, it's a tough one. The only juice I never persevered with was Old Holby.

I tried double flavour (DF) Old Holborn the other night and rather liked it.

I too like Black Cat, and Golden Burginia.

Ok so I've gone for Old Holby, Black Cat, Vanilla and will go daring on my 4th choice...but not menthol.

I know i keep saying thanks, but I'm finally seeing the wood through the trees with all your help.

I didn't like menthol ciggies and I don't vape menthol now BUT it was menthol e-juice that really helped me in the beginning to get off the ciggies

Thank you for the suggestion Romlee, I'll have to try that at a later date now as I've placed my order.

Ended up with Old Holby, Black Cat, Vanilla & Caramel Tabac, so not so daring after all.

Honestly all the forums regarding vaping I have seen today seem friendly enough, but I liked the look and vibe of this one the most.

Looks like I made the right choice.
