Yup. It's early days yet to be thinking of upgrading, I'll give the juice a try and see how that goes first.

Hiya pop, Im also a newb and I have exactly the same issue as you, I'm using 18ml juice and it doesn't seem as potent as tobacco. The first cigarette of the day is the one I enjoy most, you get that rush in your head and the nicotine buzz, the e-cig doesn't deliver the same hit, I believe it's because I'm a hand rolled baccy smoker. I've ordered some of the tobacco flavoured juice from oksmokey at 36ml, I shall try it and report back. All I can say is don't give up, the good people here have been most helpful to me, I've tried the e-cig before but ignorence and a poor product put me off, I now have a DSE901 which I find excellent, I haven't bought any baccy since I started vaping and hope not to, I shall persevere. Good luck.

OK, confession time, when I switched batteries this morning the one I thought was fully charged wasn't, I was playing about with different attys yesterday afternoon and must have used the wrong battery, so my super battery isn't so super after all, I'd simply screwed in a freshly charged one. :-[ In my defence, they all look the same. ???

I just tried my e-cig and the battery needs a charge, that's 16 hours and 20 minutes. I think this battery is a keeper.

I have 3 batteries Scylla, two are a bit short on charge time but 1 of them is a little Trojan.

You could also use that drip tip in the package instead of a cartridge, just drip a couple of drops of ejuice down it, on to the atomiser, then vape. Ah! so that's what it's for, thanks perpy I'll try that.

Re the troublesome atomiser - some just take a while longer to kick in than others. But it might be an idea to drip a tad more juice directly into that attie. I know that might sound a bit like a lot of hard work but just think about it on a par to firing up your lighter for a real cig Lol, hope that makes some sense I shall persevere Chrissie thanks.

I've been vaping for most of the day, am swithcing to baccy for the rest of the evening ( I've some to use up and am far to mean to waste it) so things I've learned: a well dipped wick and a drop of juice down the atty gives much better vapour. carts don't last long, I get about 3 - 4 cigs worth so need to take spares out with me, the first smoke of the day is more satisfying with a fresh cart and a drip in the atty, the advice to make sure you don't run out of supplies is essential for anyone trying to give up tobacco. I have a troublesome atomiser, it doesn't produce enough vapour, I've had a look at it, I've noticed that there's a little fillament poking out, the one giving problems is poking out a bit less than the others so I'd imagine it's not making good contact with the cart. I'll try cutting a slightly longer wick so that it sticks out of the cart a little, hopefully that should cure it. The batteries on this model (DSE901) seem to last quite well, I'd read on the wicked site that I could expect about 5 hours, I'm still on the same battery after 13 hours. Fortunately, I enjoy fiddling about with things which I think is a must when getting to grips with your e-cig.

Thanks for that Peppy, very interesting to note that Scott doesn't like the supplied carts and yet I find them most satisfactory, horses for courses I guess. Once I've used up all the carts I'll have a go at refilling them with the juice you sent me, Ill give the atomiser a drip or two and compare results. The e-cig is going to be different TBH, I never expected anything else, I made the mistake of expecting too much first time round I think, also I believe my batteries were faulty, I would have taken issue had I known what should have been correct. More tomorrow, NN everyone.

I'm sure I'll get used to the weight Peppy, it's just a matter of adjusting the way hold the cig.
So I just blob a couple of drops of juice in the business end of the atomiser then?
Does that give more vapour or more nicotine?

OK, my first impressions, I had an e-cig before and TBH it was somewhat disappointing, there wasn't much vapour and the thing tasted terrible. New cig was fired up at 1pm, my first surprise was the taste, slightly sweet and rather pleasant ( this is with the carts supplied), there's a good amount of vapour and the inhale, exhale experience is similar to smoking real fags. I have a slight aftertaste when smoking the e-cig, again it's not unpleasant, I don't think if a smoker went from analogues to one of these they'd suffer any of the withdrawal symptoms associated with cold turky abstinance. One very slight gripe I have is the weight of the unit, this is only a problem when driving for me as I usually have a rollie in the corner of my gob. I've used one cart and am now on the second of the day, I've no idea how much juice it takes to load a cart but it looks like I have enough here for a couple of weeks at least. Once I've smoked all my real baccy I'm seriously gonna try to stick to this, thanks to all for your help and advice, I'm sure I'll be back with more questions soon.

Hiya perpy,
that was lightning fast delivery eh? I was chuffed to little mintballs when it came this AM, it's a nice looking gizmo too, I like it's metaly look, makes it look a bit more masculine I think.
My batteries will be fully charged in about an hour, can I ask, do you leave your batteries on charge all the time or do you disconnect once theyre cooked? ???

Hello everyone, my new e-cig arrived this morning ( thanks Perpy) and I have a few questions, as you do. How long do I have to charge a new battery for? they're DSE901 BTW, should I leave them for 8 hours or are they good to go once the charger light turns green? I have many questions but I'll just ask as and when I get to a particular issue, that way it'll sink into my thick head.
