Oh dear....she'll be gutted when you tell her the holiday is off. Never mind though, there'll always be other years to go away together. See you at VF For 50 years my testicles have been positioned neatly between my legs, I fully intend to avoid any situations that would lead to their relocation Since when have testicles only been available on your 15th Birthday

In the days of VE - you'd be amazed at the number of online customers we had that came via the forum, but had never made a single post. The used to come in the shop in Heywood as well and mention the forum straight away. I would honestly say that thousands of our customers came via the forum even though they didn't post or only posted once or twice initially when looking for advice. I think from memory that the AAEC discount code was used over 50,000 times - which speaks for itself Oh wow Jason, I don't know how to thank you enough for posting that informationthank_you_smiley I'm sure that Mandy ( Perpetua ) Tracy ( snow ) & all past forum staff will be as chuffed as I am to hear that all our efforts to help folks become aware that vaping is a brilliant alternative to smoking. The thanks should come from me Chrissie and it's been a pleasure being involved with the forum, it's staff and the members over the years. Obviously excluding blakey and River

One point that should also be considered is that those who are ignoring the TPD mustn't carry products liability insurance. Because, if they did, their insurers would have a ready made reason to deny the claims. I used to bear a grudge against those that didn't carry the correct insurance (when it was costing us £50K per year) and I'm pretty sure that if you added the cost of us becoming TPD compliant (approx £500K) - the grudge would be a lot bigger Whether I'd report others or not - I'm not sure (goes against my grain really) but I can certainly sympathise with those that do.

A year and a bit ago sydsut but strengths were heading down quickly, with the increase in power and sub ohming etc. In the last few months there was a definite shift lower and we had started to sell more strengths between 8mg and 18mg. Although, for the new starters (particularly the footfall in the shop), we always kept it simple and more often than not they went away with 18mg and a decent Ego type kit. We had a good percentage of loyal/return customers and very few ever increased from their starting strength (some decreased, but the majority stayed the same). Myself - I started on 18mg and stayed on 18mg until VE closed and then I dropped to 12mg and have never noticed the difference. I still use a Provari (P3), Kabuki Tank and Nautilus Coil (1.8ohm) and vape happily at 10W. We also once did a blind test with strengths and a couple of willing customers and they both ended upon 6mg before they thought they were noticing any difference or vaping significantly more. One started on 18mg and the other on 20mg. I still personally think that a lot of it is psychological and find that if I go out for a few hours now - I don't even think about taking my gear with more, something that would be unthinkable when we were on the ciggies (there would be more chance of me forgetting the kids than my cigs).

I agree about the annoyance of restriction. But, in a massively saturated market and with some very questionable standards by some vendors, regulation was always going to happen and it also has some benefits with regards to safety, accountability etc.
I know that we sold 50 bottles of <20mg to every bottle of >20mg, which is why I talk about the majority (18mg was by far the biggest seller).
Hopefully, not too many will lose out and the benefits of the regulations will offset the negatives.

I've been slowly stocking the tanks that I want to move forward with, i have a decent enough supply to last a fair few years. Of course, if I find more at stupid to leave prices then I'm sure I'll indulge some more Fair few years If I had the amount of gear you have I'd start up VE2

Totally agree with you there striker42. I have more nic and stuff than I will probably ever use, so 20/5 will be just another day. The new vapers are the ones who will suffer sadly. I really don't see any reason why new vapers will suffer, to be honest. 2ml tanks and 20mg max are more than enough for the vast majority of new vapers. A lot of us managed with atty's, carto's, then CE4's etc. That makes the new vapers of today spoilt for choice

Saw your post on the 'attending' thread ukric, so I'll reply as best as can The past years, the marquee has been dealt with by Spikey/myself and I won't be there this year and from what I've seen neither will Sarah. If anyone wants to deal with it - I can help from a distance with contacts/cash/whatever - otherwise it would be a no from the forum I guess.

A great shame to see Provape go We sold over 1,200 Provari's over the years and had a grand total of 11 faulty units that needed returning. So expensive or not - their reliability couldn't be touched by any other manufacturer (a vendors dream). I hope David and the team have a good future in whatever they choose.
