I have to say when I recharge the batteries it only takes half hour to recharge at most so they can't be that empty have taken off the boost now can't taste any difference anyhow. I've wonky had mine a few weeks at most but is clean all the contact once a week as I do with all my mods. Thanks VE Jason appreciate if you would let me know, half wondering if it's a faulty batch or if we are doing something wrong? They are too well tested to be a faulty 'batch' Claire - every single individual unit is tested. But, I can see the IQ function being disabled once we get the relevant equipment - its just too fussy for its own good. |

Sounds like a connection issue to me lobeydosser or a faulty PCB - send me an email with as much info as possible and we can take it from there. I can only go off the feedback received up to now and using one myself since they arrived and I've not had any similar issues - so something must be wrong somewhere. You posted initially that battery life was far better than expected, so its a case of finding out what's happened/changed since - if anything. Any error codes? |

So after paying £200 for this thing to update the firmware there is more costs sending it back to a vender, can't just plug it into a PC? I think its a case of its there if you want it, but if you don't upgrade the device will still work as well as it does now and is still fully warrantied regardless. Some people may want the tweaks such as your own name on the screen etc and there will be a couple of more high tech options, but not having any of them will still mean that you got exactly the device you paid for - if you know what I mean. I will be having some fun with Blakeys though if he ever sends it back |

VE Jason could you shed any light on wether a UK vendor will be getting the means to update the firmware on the chip? Yes, we will definitely be getting the programming equipment @tazmania441 and no doubt some others will. Not sure exactly when, but I'll update as soon as I have more info. |

I've been reading up on the IQ feature and there's a lot of posts about it being a bit temperamental and some have reported it increasing significantly just by rotating the spring in the base cap or stretching it slightly. I've just tried that with a 3 month old AW and the IQ went from 68% to 81%. I suspect that cleanliness and maintenance will also have a bearing on it. But, I can see the IQ being a bit of a pest if anyone has OCD |
