Thanks that's really useful, so the resistance is increased by increasing the coil diameter and number of wraps, and decreased by the wire guage? Is that right?

What would be the best kayfun clone for about £20, or as cheap as possible.
Finding it very confusing, some people say get a certain one and avoid another certain one, but then someone else says the opposite. And some people say that it really doesn't matter, as they are all good.
Myepack have one for £19.99 but they don't seem to provide much information.
Can anyone help?

Just had a second attempt at a microcoil on a kanger head. I used 8 wraps of .32 kanthal and cotton.
Ended up with a resistance of 1, couldn't obviously try it on the vamo so I had a go with a spinner and it worked well to start with but then dried out pretty quickly and tasted like it wasn't wicking.
Is it probable that the coil was too small? As that would explain the low resistance and lack of wicking?
Could someone also point me in the direction of a simple explanation of Ohm's law or just tell me if this is correct.
A 2 ohm coil ran at 8 watts would produce 4 volts, and to get 4 volts from a 1.5 ohm coil, it would need to be ran at 6 watts.

I found a small screwdriver earlier, I need to measure it but it looks about right, if not I'll just get that mandrel. I was convinced there was a blow torch in the garage but no. What sort of difference are we talking between a micro single coil in a regular protank head vs the new dual coil stock kanger heads? Mainly in terms of throat hit, as I just find throat hit to be really inconsistant with my aerotank (but more consistant than doing 5 wrap silica wicks in a protank head. Does that make sense?
