In reply to your original question, AFAIK there is only one main pharma company in the UK specializing and processing pure nicotine from imported raw nicotine sulphate, that nowadays comes from Indian tobacco; [if I recall correctly]. Much of the UK pharma's pure nicotine products are exported to the USA for NRT. I know of at least one e-cig supplier in the UK that buys the pure nicotine from the pharma company and does the dilution with PG/VG themselves, I won't mention names. We however get the pharma manufacturing company to carry out our dilution (safer for us, pharma Quality Control, certification including strength testing, etc. of each batch that we order; although more expensive than diluting ourselves). We bottle the dilute nicotine in our HEPA cleanroom in 100ml and 500ml for the public and sometimes 2.5L+ wholesale, all with traceable batch number to its certification. Some of the other larger vendors also sell wholesale. Recently another UK ecig company started importing European nicotine and diluting in the UK for wholesale. I don't know who is doing their diluting or much about their operations. Nicotine falls under the Poisons Act at 7.5% (75mg/ml) in the UK, so generally the strongest available for public sale is below this, typically 7.2%. Thankyou very much for the information and pretty much ansers my questions fully I did read up on the poisons act last night , it did appear relatively easy for a verified vendor to get a poisons licence(it was graded lower than a farmer needing fertilisers that come under the poisons act with around £36.00 for the licence app) Funnily enough i read the info on your specific brand last night and a definate thumbs up to the certification process: as to remain credible without government intervention its an area that needs tightened up on and you guys are putting that effort in so kudos there . Interesting subject and once again thanks for your reply

Hi and welcome Pretty much what Kailey said It sounds as if the coil that heats the liquid is bunged up which is destroying the taste and as its a non rebuildable you can t replace the wick and wire. They seem pretty pricy on that website so if you google CE4 clearomiser you ll find them cheaper(but its worth upgrading to another clearomiser) but that would keep you going short term You ll get loads more replies tomorrow and best of luck and well done on stopping smoking

I also saw someone mention pure nic (99%) elsewhere and rightly the link was quickly removed. It is still being sold on the site linked to, wether or not they actually stock or sell it now I don't know. Its a foreign vaping site selling it and recommending it for diy mixing!!!!! wholly irresponsible!! May well be the same post i read and it was frankly mind boggling someone could be so greedy and reckless. This is where working in mg and percentages could cause fatalities.(someone buying 100% and following a recipe for 100 mg...scary when you consider 2 ml of 18% is enough to cause a child fatality(god forbid) Still wondering who the wholesalers are of 7.5 and where they get it from though

I think the strongest mix available to the public is 100mg/ml = 10% I think you need to be licenced and in the chemicals/pharma trade to get anything stronger. Thanks for the reply Mark I guess whats getting me is if i was to buy say a pack of cigarettes id be pretty much able to find the manufacturer, the main distributors, wholesalers and of course retailers so theres due diligence in place. I can t do the same with nicotine as no matter how i input into google i end up with something to do with nicorette patches or such like. I suppose im interested in how our suppliers find their wholesalers and who those wholesalers are and how the wholesalers deal with the pharmas . Maybe just a closed shop

Hi This is nt really a mixology question its more of a general interest question on how nicotine gets from source(tobacco plants) to the 7.5% and under that we finally end up with. So it gets picked as leaves , but is it processed overseas or brought in raw to the UK (id imagine a mix of both )? Once it arrives in pure form does anyone know which companies are diluting it?(large pharmas but which ones? From there it will be going to wholesalers in mass bulk(but whos the wholesalers and distributors to wholesalers) ??? And from wholesalers it will be coming down the supply chain so ive got that bit. Theres a few reasons for asking as it clears up some points i ve read(eg i read a frightening post on another forum discussing buying pure nicotine which obviously no sane person would be interested in......but wheres the due diligence to stop it getting onto the market in pure form) I guess im just wondering if anyone knows who holds the reigns on this from 7.5% bulk to the 100ml or so we buy? Thanks to anyone that can enlighten me

HI all can you recycle riva type battery.... if so where? i was thinking localy like normal battery's Hi Do you mean replacing the riva battery with say triple AAs rather than Li ion to put inside the Riva casing? If so then its a no im afraid as the voltage in one would be too low(you would need 3 to come near the Li ion which obviously would nt fit ) You can buy a replacement battery (think it must be around 7650 at a guess) Li ion 3.7 v 1100mah unprotected (guessing on the size so dont order until you confirm) apologies in advance if i misunderstood your question

IDK, the cheapest I've found is at least £10 more expensive and when there are two of us vaping it is quite a saving. I prefer supporting UK vendors but I like saving too. I have written to them to ask what version they are shipping. Hi Kailey Dont get me wrong if fasttech are selling the v2 at v1 price id go with it. I was just surprised that the uk suppliers were puitting the v2 out there at a very decent price But a tenners a tenner in anyones eyes

STOP THROWING BROKEN THINGS AWAY!!! A choir of sirens singing in unison with heavens angels would nt sound sweeter to me just now after reading that one line . I just replaced the head on my vamo as the threads had worn down (after two to three months...go figure) which cost a fiver to buy the head plus p n p(not forgetting the head was an absolute **** to get off , also the vamo board costs nearly as much as the vamo itself.(did nt buy a board but the price struck me as a bit over the top) It really has to be said without blowing sunshine that raids offer really is very generous and id urge anyone to send spares or repairs his way.

Maybe Raid would get some use out of the twist for spare parts ,still a few good components in it plus a (3month?) old battery there and its safe disposal/recycling ? Just a thought (and i admit it i hate wasting stuff )
