Must admit i can get quite emotional when looking at tools i cant afford on machine marts website  Lathes???dont get me started on how much i want one...  Got mine on machine mart after looking at it and deciding for months lol Thats the male of the species for you Mev We will go out and spend 3 k on tools to make a table for £75 that would cost £175 if shop bought....then feel proud of the money we saved making the table ourselves  |

Sounds great, woodwork is my main work aside from laying teak decks on boats did you tried to make a mod ? I would like to make one in wenge and ash but still thinking how to mill the inside as I like to make a round tube for my evic. A decent woodworking lathe would do the job for this sort of thing. Lathe work is a side of woodworking I have not got into ( yet?) Note to self : ' NO DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!'  Keep an eye on gumtree as they pop up on there sometimes (and i admit its mods that have re triggered my notion for a lathe ) |

Im only used to hearing the original and lennon type covers so was nt sure but it grows on you after a couple of listens I always think the sign of a great song is that it can be re-worked in different styles and still be great I could nt agree with you more on that @oneday Im a big blues fan but also a massive Nirvana fan and i think kurt cobains(RIP) cover of leadbellys (cover!) of where did you sleep is truly awesome |

Woodwork for me. I make furniture (sideboards, occasional tables etc) and jewellery boxes for friends and family. I work mainly in American white oak as I find other hardwoods that are available in the UK are too expensive for my pension. A word of warning for any of you thinking 'that is a hobby I wouldn't mind getting into', the shinyitis factor with new tools is even worse than with vaping. So yesterday my partner lost her battery an carto while she was out. Ok no big deal she has a backup battery and plenty of tanks/clearos/cartos. Gets home, what a surprise, turns out she doesnt know where her spare battery is! Again not too much of an issue as I also have a spare battery.........which now isn't charging! To top it all off payday isn't until tuesday so we are currently sharing my battery which is the only one in the house that works! Think I need to get backups for my backups for my backups since I thought I was covered =( Just needed to have a bit of a rant thanks for listening. No chance it s not just a dirty connection? (had one that would nt charge but a quick clean with isopropyl and it was up and running) |

I don't think I can Call it a Hobbie as such.. I'm a singer songwriter in my spare time.. I used to be in a Manchester band, which got fairly well known in the Manchester music scene. and headlineing most of the big venues in the city. I went solo about 15years ago. and got offered a record contract with a company in New York. but sadly didn't pan out... I learnt to play guitar and Have played afew solo gigs and open mic night. still writing new songs. but haven't been out gigging in some time, keep planning to. I was on a music TV show called Be the Source Which was on a sky channel. we submitted our vidoes and they got rated online by the public for the TV show, luckly I had all 3 videos of mine make it to the TV show. I did OK. got rated over all 8th. out of nearly 60 acts. I have a lot of fans spread over afew sites and all over the world, I have Facebook fan page, and a twitter page but I don't get twitter. all pages are linked so I only deal with one. I'm writing song at the moment for a chance of being on TV Adverts, I keep trying but nothing yet. hoping and keep asking for Top gear to use one of my songs when they are doing there reviews of cars. I'll keep pushing them and who knows... so that's what I do in my spare time... all good fun and loving it. Hey if your looking for a guitarist let me know i do a mean twinkle twinkle little star on the high e string(whats the other five strings all about huh ???)...well nearly learnt it but it has only been 5 years  ) More seriously though any you tube links? |

I can tell you now (did nt think it appropriate whilst you were still worried) I found the kitten (lucky) when i was taking my dog for a walk some years back(had been abandoned, full of worms and just a mess) anyways got him all sorted out at the vet and he moved right in. After we moved he got out one night and just never came home (i was working away from home on an island in the north west of scotland at the time so it was horrible knowing i could nt go searching for him.) Never got him back and that was 8 years ago now and even now when driving through that area of edinburgh i still look for him. Yep they get under your skin thats for sure and im glad you had a happy ending . Oh no!! That's such a shame Rich. I don't know what's worse. The not knowing what happened or finding out a very unhappy truth. Oh its ok...He got lost and ended up moving in with some very nice cat lovers and had a happy long life (in my head anyhow) |

OK, down to the finals now, just packed up all my vaping supplies for the holiday. Juice:- 120ml mixed flavours + recoiling kit, complete with spare Nova and clearo bases for testing, nail clippers, Swiss Army knife and spare plastic bags.
