The knurling makes the base of the mouthpiece/juice control too large in diameter. This leaves the juice struggling to get down the gap between the mouthpiece base and the inner wall of the tank. Simple fix is to skim off the knurling thus giving the juice more space to flow.. Ahhh, i see what you mean now, not that i have had any wicking problems but understand nowSo you haven't had a big air bubble sitting at the top of the clear tank at any point? Nope, not that i have noticedStrange.. In each of mine I had a bubble sitting at the top of the tank that was about 8-10mm on width. Couldn't get rid of it no matter what I did.. Wasnt necessarily causing wicking problems but they do seem to perform better now.. especially when chain vaping..

Result, no more ugly air bubble and they are definitely wicking better! Sorted! I am trying to get it around my head what does de-knurling do to the juice drip tip? how can de-knurling make it wick better....you sir are confusing me Also what ugly air bubbles, never seen one yet ??? Super-Shiny my dear fellow. The knurling makes the base of the mouthpiece/juice control too large in diameter. Hi guys. So I turned up and told my dad what I wanted. 10 minutes later I had 5 de-knurled mouthpieces ready to clean and use. Didnt need to faff around with sandpaper and files either.. just turned them down with the cutting tip and polished with a fine finishing block. Result, no more ugly air bubble and they are definitely wicking better! Sorted!

I've had a quick look at Vapor Freaks website this morning as a comparison and prices at Grey Haze are quite reasonable IMHO.
replacement ice clear tank from VF is £12.56 and ceramic is just over £2. That's plus postage of 10 euros per order..
So the tank is half the price of VF and the ceramics are only a bit more..
Like I say, nod too bad Imo..

I started with the Riva 1100mah and was able to cut the stinkies out completely within hours of receiving it. I think the battery's capacity helped me massively due to them lasting around a day each.. Four colours are available (black, pink, white and stainless) but you'd need to buy juice on top of the £34.95.. 10ml testers are worth a shot.. Unfortunately the Rivas both went for a swim in the washing machine but I still use the case for my vw mods when I'm out in the car..

If you've got access to a lathe then any cutter will do the job easily. Thankfully he has plenty of experience with lathe work and so no matter what approach we take, it should work out fine and dandy.. Hated that lathe when he first got it.. had to manhandle it into his garage with nothing but sackbarrows(which broke!) and tow rope.. weighs a bloody tonne!

Put a small bolt through from the bottom with a piece of thick plastic, (I used the thick plastic from a strip of wall plugs cut to size with some scissors and a hole in the centre) over the bolt that comes out of the top of the drip tip then a small metal washer followed by a nut. You can then insert the bolt into the Chuck of a drill. Use some 240 grit aluminium oxide paper to get the knurling off then go on to 400 grit then 1000 wet and dry and finally 1200 wet and dry to give it a polished finish. It sounds like a lot of faff but only takes about 10 minutes. I used the above on an iclear 30 and also my Provari. Sorted!! Saves me having to put tape on the mouthpiece! (Sounds silly but this was the thing I most wanted to avoid!) Nice one Greigster!

Put pistol drill in a vice fasten it, put the mouthpiece tube into the chuck on the drill, switch on drill (slow speed), then using metal file or emery cloth, slowly work over the rotating area you wish to remove the knurling from. If not drill available, fasten mouthpiece tube in vice and use file or emery to go slowly around the circumference of the knurling to be removed. Or use a `dremel` with grind wheel attachment. Best get a m8 who can get to a metal lathe to do it for you Luckily my dad has a decent metal lathe I can use to avoid faffing with a drill.. going over tomorrow afternoon mouthpieces in hand.. I was just curious as to what method (file, sandpaper, etc) would give a better finish.. he does have diamond tipped cutting bits but don't want to take too much material off..

I'm dripping a tester of pvc as we speak which was mixed on 16th August. Will be mixing up another 50ml tomorrow Romelees custard recipe is even sweeter but it doesn't half gunk up the coil quickly! Ps. You're not officially allowed to sell homemade mixes on AAEC so bear that in mind..

Dan you might wanna get a Hercules first, they really are very nice indeed I will, eventually! Did you have any luck firing the herc on the evic yet? If the dual coil fires ok with good flavour then I'll look at getting one in the next month or so.. just not sure mech mods are my thing at the minute.. Besides, I have four terminators to setup before I can think about spending more money!!
