Hi everyone.
So, I've had a nitecore i2 for a while now but I'm now looking for a 4 bay charger.
Main reason for this is that we bought our 3 year old a Vttech Innotab tablet thingmajiggy and it's munching through 4 duracells in 12 hours.. expensive!! Can't buy a dedicated battery pack for it so going down the diy route of multiple nimh's!
I already have a 4 pack of 3000mah aa batteries and plan to buy another four to keep in rotation but I'm stuck for a charger!
After discovering how much a dedicated charger will cost it makes sense to buy a 4 bay charger such as the nitecore i4 and then sell my i2. Its not in constant use so may as well use to full potential! Question is, should I be looking at any other chargers which offer more control over charging amps? It must have the diversity to charge multiple battery sizes (aa-18650), and it must be able to charge one battery at a time without any overheating issues..
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Budget wise im looking at £25 or less as money is a bit tight since my baby girl arrived..

Interesting..
My immediate thought would be hotspot.
One thing.. the juice you're using.. I assume you've tried it in other atties and so know the flavour you're aiming for?
Also,
When you dry fire the coil does it burn from inside out or outside in? Are the legs glowing any brighter than the coil? How tightly have you wrapped the coil?
One thing I learnt from my rssts was to take my time making sure the coil glowed evenly from leg to leg. Do this when it is all bone dry to make it easier to pinpoint problematic spots.. once its wet it can take ages to get it running right!!
Ss rope certainly makes life easier, as does normal kanthal.. ribbon always played up for me!

Have you tried with a different wire?
What did you use to oxidise the ribbon?

Romelees custard recipe is even sweeter but it doesn't half gunk up the coil quickly! Don't say that, i have shares in wire company's around the world Going to drip some more RVC tonight too see how it fares with a microcoil

Super-Shiny - is there a reason you have the metal tank at the bottom on your terminator? Surely it prevents you from seeing when its due for refilling? melitahams - I've been using Terminator-c's on my evics for over a week solid now and they are still performing brilliantly! Certainly better than the kayfun lites I was using previously.. It may be worth sending Billy | GreyHaze a pm to see if they would indeed post to your location. You may be lucky! First build can seem daunting but it only takes minutes once you know what you're doing..

Personally I would say to stick with a regulated mod until you are 100% happy with your coil building skills..
If you have a coil short out on a vv/vw mod it just won't fire. They have their own inbuilt protection to prevent damage..
Mechanical mods on the other hand are totally the opposite..
You have no notification of a short circuit until its too late.
Yes you can introduce a fuse and a kick to give you protection and adjustability but you may as well just buy a regulated mod!!
The other thing with a mechanical mod is that the amount of power given to the atomiser relates to battery charge.. regulated mods oon the other hand generally give you your chosen voltage or wattage regardless of the charge level..
