Was reading the board this evening and enjoying all the information and discussions about gear and juice and all things 60 watts plus etc! And it got me to thinking; me and Mrs poo have been vaping 2years and 6months according to my bottom banner (is that even a noun?) and how things have changed in such a short time! For example, discussions were still being had then about bulding a res/no res/res wire welder from a redundant flashgun! No-one but the very trailblazing few vaped over 15 watts because that's what a Vamo could deliver! Subohming was literally just being invented by dudes using 'micro coils' which were generally wrapped using .25 or .3 kanthal on a 1mm drill bit! How mad is that! Greigster not much later had got generous permission of the American inventor to make the coil buddy in the UK (I bought the wood one, later raffled, and still use his aluminium model which was shortly afterwards sold by FT for about 3 quid ) PERPETUAS VANILLA CUSTARD!!!! Was the mix that every newby who couldn't wait for, or afford to buy Grants Vanilla Custard, made! (I mixed a Litre of this a few weeks ago! Thanks Perps xxx) I remember Evods being a game changer, and Ego batteries that could be adjusted to deliver 4.2 watts regulated, changing the game even further, then Vamo's changed that game again! The vamo's then ,v1and v2 were made of tube that had a purpose in life, I think Robby put us onto them? Later Vamo's were made of tinfoil! and now you can still buy copies of the v2 but they're still made of tinfoil What else? Loads really, the best quality atties and mods were still hand made by specialists in the UK and Greece and cost a hundred quid plus each, Provari's were the elitists 15w mod apparently, at £150 a pop (there's still 3 in our household and I'm deffo not elitist!) a year later China started to catch on, and FT et al started selling copies of everything and anything that could be copied for a fraction of the price and the clone market became a market force. I remember dual coil atties being released, this was when us mainstream plebs discovered clouds! It was mild fog by today's standards but it was blimmin cloudy compared to what we had before! Dual coil aerotank V1 anyone? Haha with that curved bell shaped drip tip! lol! That's 2 years six months in vaping! I've got box mods that fart Vamo's for fun, what will the next 2 and a half years bring I wonder?!?

No more spending for me till this comes out! Reckon I'll probably need a few months saving up to buy one but buy one I will, yes I'm a provari fan, I don't use mine any more but Mrs poo uses one every day it's the only mod she hasn't managed to break, and believe me she's broke a lot of mods

I thought I'd write this copy and paste note because the question of how much homemade liquid costs appears so often. So let's say firstly that it requires a little bit of advance investment, that could be low volume or larger volumes, let's work it out on larger volumes....
5 litres of VG or PG averages £20 off of eBay (lubrisolve or minerals-water or classikool are all trusted sources) If you like VG heavy mixes as a lot of cloud chasers do these days, you might just order 5L of VG and 1L (or none) of PG.
5L of bulk VG is a few quid more than PG but £20 is an average. 1L of 72mg PG nic costs £38 off of Darkstar say, never used it myself; but it gets good reports as clean, quality, nic base. 30ml of one shot concentrate, say Red Astaire or Heisenberg or about 500 others! costs £10
Say you want to make 200ml of 3mg 80vg/20pg Red Astaire at 15% flavour (15% is good for RA, but you might like less or more flavour in your juice)
You need to use 161.7ml of VG/PG (depends on your mix) = 65p 8.3ml of nic base = 32p 30ml concentrate = £10.00 Total = £10.97. Divide that into 200ml x 10ml = 54.85p per 10mls! Ok let's call it 55p per 10mls.
And! you'll have enough nic left for your next 12 litres!!! of juice and enough VG/PG left for your next 5.8 litres of juice. Just need to buy more concentrates.
What if you can't spend a load of money upfront.....?
200ml VG from Boots costs £1.25 100mls of nic base costs £10 30ml concentrate costs £10
You need to use 161.7mls VG = £1.01 8.3ml nic base = 83p 30ml concentrate = £10.00 Total = £11.84. Divide that into 200ml x 10ml = £59p per 10mls
And you'll have enough nic left for your next 1.2L of juice. Just need to buy more VG and more concentrates.
Hope this all makes sense, it does to me but I'm happy to be corrected. Just stop buying £4 and £5 juice and start mixing. I know I'm not far off! If you up your nic to say 10ml you're looking at approx 65p per 10mls, just do it!

Been there Andy! Ordering all sorts just in case it'll come in handy someday, especially when there's nowt vaping related I'm after; I don't seem to be able to help myself! Been through the small tools phase, the dremmel spares, toothbrush heads, more tweezers than a beauty parlour, enough batteries to power a caravan, bulbs, LEDs, torches! There's something satisfying about getting home and finding the yellow parcel on the mat I reckon, my last purchases have been back to vaping though I got thirty of These tall skinny 30ml bottles for about a tenner delivered yesterday, and there's a spare billow v2 on the way. Cancelled a Goliath earlier cause I'd forgotten I'd ordered it and another one arrived on Tuesday from Gearbest! Just checked my order history to see, and they've had a total of 96 and counting! First order was a 100mah ego battery and a ce4 clearo 2 1/2 years ago

Well it chucks that's for sure, got the triple coil in, it sounds like a camping stove fired at 80 watts, much higher and it's too much for me at the mo, but then my juice is 10mg. Good cloud as expected, can't comment on the flavour because I've not tried Clara-t in anything else yet, Clara t is ok btw, made 200mls which I'm sure we'll get through but I probs won't mix it again.
One thing though, I undid the top cap to have a poke around inside but couldn't release the glass tank from the base, anyone else had this? Not sure what I'm doing wrong? Cheers

Got mine a couple of days ago after reading this thread, I ordered one from gearbest eu warehouse and it was here two days later! :)Pretty impressed with the service I've got to say, esp After my first China order was a disaster taking two months to land Anyway, opened the box, thought WTF!?! I've got atties smaller than them coil heads (remember the octopus dripper anyone?) packed it back up and there it's sat. I've an Xcube II to sit it on which is equally mahoooosive so that's lucky, I think I'm going to fill her up just now with some Clara-t which I haven't actually tasted yet so it'll be an adventure all round I reckon Tally ho!

No room is a term I understand Chrissie, I'm sat in our temporary lounge watching the telly right, at my feet is a vanity unit and basin already built, a loo and cistern in a blimmin massive box, and a six feet tall radiator leaning against the wall, Other side of the room is a fire door (behind the inflatable missus) a toilet window, numerous tools, cabinets and a six foot tall piece of 25mm glass, ironing board, boxes full of gibbins, bobbins and baggins, oh and me and Mrs Poo in the middle! But we're not in a cottage at least, if we shrunk every space by what? 33%? Goodness knows what we'd do

The head you have is pretty basic and been around in various shapes and forms for about five years tipsyturtle, they're fine, we all probably started off on something similar and its suited to your battery so that's good. The atomiser (piece 4 in @dr00gs post) has a wick and a coil inside and is the business end of the clearomiser you're using. Depending on the e liquid you'll need to change the atomiser every three days to three weeks (let's say) the problem is the coil in the atomiser can get gunked up with carbon and it'll make the flavour really muted/bad. Custards seem to be the worst offenders. You can wash the atomiser under hot running water, no fairy liquid! And then dry burn it till the carbon burns off, and use it again for a short while, say another 50% of the original life depending on your e liquid, then it needs binning and replacing, or recoiling but that will come later. Was this a help?

We were in a rush and the place was rammed @chrissie, so I wanted to get out quickly but we'll be back once the extension is done. What's mildly amusing (to me anyway) is that Tesco Extra had the unit beforehand, it's mahoosive btw; they were selling the same stuff but with less choice and couldn't make a business out of it so they moved out. New business selling the same stuff but more choice and they look like they're doing brilliantly, good on em I say, especially in the inflatable sofa department!

Just thought of that title in my red wine haze thought it was pretty good as it goes! Story is, we're having an extension built on the back of our house at the mo and today was vacate the lounge day! We have (had) a dining room with a proper cool slate bed pool table that converted to a dining table that we reluctantly had to send to a new home today, gutted.com! Anyway we have had to move into the dining room for the next 4 weeks so it had to go, we managed to get all of our main furniture and telly in here no problem, the two seater sofa fitted in fine but could we bugger get the three seater through the doorway, it wasn't having any of it all for the sake of three inches so what were we going to do? Lynny moo said lets go to matalan and buy a couple of bean bags, fair enough idea; instead we went to a new store in bromborough retail park called 'range’ never heard of them but blimmin hell it was an Alladins cave of nick knacks and nice bits and bobs and what nots but no bean bags What they did have though was THIS..... s5.postimg.cc/5s8w9lrcn/image.jpgInflatable bloody sofa for forty quid!!!! Ding Dong! Don't you just love China
