 Gav, I used the same starting setup and was fine on it. From limited experience I can give one bit of advice that I got on here - get a strongish menthol juice for the days when your taste buds aren't playing  I'm using menthol as I type.

Don't worry Sammy, the nurse was just giving advice as per N.I.C.E. guidelines. Most Health Care Professionals will give the same advice as they don't want to be seen stepping out of line.
I've been nursing for twenty five years now, smoked for all of them. Tried patches, gum, inhalators, zyban, champix, cold turkey, acupuncture and hypnotherapy but never managed to quit my 40 a day habit for more than a couple of days. I've been vaping for a month now and smoked my last cigarette over a week ago!
I can assure you that if there was evidence proving that vaping was more harmful than smoking, the MHRA wouldn't be regulating it in the future - they would be banning it.
I just wish I'd started vaping before now... My breathing is better, skin is fresher, teeth whiter, I have more cash and I don't stink.
Screw N.I.C.E. Guidelines!

Strangely I've seen the opposite. My two would sit on my knee when I used to smoke cigarettes but come nowhere near when I vape. If they are sitting on my lap when I vape; they jump off straight away.  I'm guessing it's because the smells are unfamiliar and that they'll soon come round. Might be the noise the that puts them off, mine aren't over keen if I'm using a 306 atty, noisy little blighters that they are. Tested the theory.... You're right. Using a fairly quiet pro tank and he hasn't budged |

Didn't wait... ordered a MVP from FT - couldn't resist at £30. Seemed like a good place to start. The evic looks nice but I'm not ready for that level of tech... not yet anyway. I can see that this is going to cost... but not as much as smoking  |

No cigarettes for two days, no cravings... I'm well chuffed  Got a kanger pro tank and some Grizwalds juices - I'm set up now. Might look at variable voltage next month after a bit of research. Thanks again for all the help guys |
