My dog sits with me on the back step. He puts up with Mayfair smooth and RY6 just the same. Interestingly, there has always been concern about smoking around dogs, not just the nicotine (they are probably less likely to tolerate it...) but the smoke (carcinogens etc.) just like humans. Mine is happy with me (and the missus) doing whatever, and we do out best to keep the smoke/vape clear just in case. We would never smoke in the car, just as we wouldn't have done with kids.

Ours come and sniff the vapour - but the most remarkable change is in one of our cats - he hated me smoking, and would get off my lap if I did (which was not necessarily a bad thing!) - now he's happy to sit there as I vape, doing the 'happy claw' thing on my leg. It hurts.

Same with my cats, 3 didn't really bother about us smoking but would stalk off if they got smoke in their faces, 1 would leg it as soon as he realised you had a cig in your hand, real anti-smoking cat. . . now none of them bother when we'er vaping, happy to sit on us or next to us no problems.

Strangely I've seen the opposite. My two would sit on my knee when I used to smoke cigarettes but come nowhere near when I vape. If they are sitting on my lap when I vape; they jump off straight away. I'm guessing it's because the smells are unfamiliar and that they'll soon come round.

My dog seems to enjoy the smell. She is definitely not put off in any way by vaping. It seems she is particularly enthusiastic about Egg Custard Tart flavour!

Might be the noise the that puts them off, mine aren't over keen if I'm using a 306 atty, noisy little blighters that they are.

Our wee Jack Russell use to go ape at the crackle when taking a draw. She's chilled a bit now but still gives you the Grrrrr look. Our Lab cross doesn't bother at all but she's still a baby really.

The two doggies that I've had since vaping haven't shown any change in behaviour at all. It must be a healthier environment for them though, not having to inhale our smoke.

Using a fairly quiet pro tank and he hasn't budged

Hmmm. Trying to work if my puppy is just hyper or its because of me vaping around him.
By the sounds of it its him. Only he seems more hyper in the evenings when I vape around him than he does the rest of the day when I don't vape near him as much. He is being castrated on Friday under vets and behavourists advice. Hopefully he will calm down enough to respond to more training.

Yes it is. Thank you. He is a lovely dog, but he has a mind of his own. When I try training him all he wants to do is play. I want to mentally tire him out, but he wants to find his own amusement which is causing problems, hence getting professional help in.
I was clutching at straws with asking if vaping had changed any other dogs behaviour, partly because nicotine is a stimulant.
