OK, I've had quite a few guys pop into the shop who are really up for a regular vape meet. Let's go for Thursday, 14th November for the 1st of many regular vapemeets. I'm guessing that between Halloween and Guy Fawkes people are going to be tied up over the next couple of weeks so the 14th sounds about right. I suggest a 7pm meet in the vape friendly, Prince of Wales pub, 76 Prospect Street, Caversham, Reading, Berkshire, RG4 8JN. If you are up for this and can make it on the night, put a quick confirmation on this thread to give us all an idea of who is going to be there on the night. I'll start it off......I'm going to be there and so will George.
Cheers, Phil

I think we are starting to get the makings of a decent vape meet already.

Sounds good. With the population around Reading and commutable distance this could develop into a really big thing on a regular basis. I'm sure we can make this a regular big event.

Chrissie, Much appeciated. It would be great to get a really good regular vape meet in this neck of the woods. There is nothing at the moment and I think this would be a really good start.

Anyone interested in a regular vape meet in Reading. We opened a new vape shop a few weeks ago and there is a pub opposite us that is vape friendly and has loads of parking and is about 15 minutes walk from Reading train station (depending on how long your legs are). A few weeks ago the owner had no idea what an ecig was. Since then I have arranged for a BBC film crew to visit the pub and converted the owner to vaping. It would be great if we could arrange a regular vape meet (maybe every 3 months). Anyone interested? If we get enough interest I'll arrange a provisional date and we can get it sorted. The pub is called the Prince of Wales and its on Prospect Street, Caversham, Reading. The owner is great and is completely up for making this a place of vaping excellence, lol. Cheers, Phil

I can never find a lighter around my house anymore. I had a power cut in the house about 3 weeks ago. My wife went for the candles and I had to tell her to forget it. We've got an electric induction cooker and no lighters or matches in the house anymore. We just sat there in the dark waiting for the power to come back on,lol

Padiho, We don't stock concentrates at the moment. However, within the next 7 to 8 weeks we will start stocking a full range of quality concentrates. We are trying to build up the variety and qualtity of stock as fast as possible at the moment but it's going to take a good few weeks before we get fully stocked with everything we want. Saying that, I don't think we'll ever really have everything we want because there is always something new coming out.

Our B&M shop has now been open for just over a week and we have our last day of World Vaping Week offers (in store only). Just say "Happy World Vaping Day" when you place your order and we will give you 10% off your entire purchase. We also have snacks and drinks available free of charge so you can indulge whilst having a vape on us in store. The video of our BBC moment of fame can also be found on our homepage at www.berkshirevapers.co.uk . Lets get everyone talking about the benefits of vaping and make sure that we can continue to do so for a long time to come. Cheers, Phil

Thanks everyone for all your support. At the very least we have got a lot of people curious about vaping and helped enlighten a good few as to what an ecig actually is.

The filmed piece is going to be on Freesat channel 958 (BBC Oxford) in about 15 or 20 minutes. No idea how they have edited it or whether it will be positive or negative but here's hoping.
By the way, I've also put posters up on our window prior to the filming with reference to World Vaping Day. I also included reference to World Vaping Day in the newspaper article coming out on the weekend. If I hadn't been cut short by Jeremy Vine, I would have also mentioned it on BBC Radio this morning. Oh, I also provided an in store discount on all my stock and free snacks and drinks to celebrate World Vaping Day. Not sure what else I could have done aside from stand on top of a big tower with a megaphone.

Jeremy Vine turned up out of the blue so my radio slot got reduced to just a minute or 2. Someone from ASH came on after me and put a very positive slant on ecigs apparently. I haven't heard it myself yet. The filming is going out on BBC Oxford at 6.30pm tonight if you can get it. We also had a Reading Chronicle reporter come around yesterday. He is going to do a big piece on us for the weekend paper. We managed to sell him a double starter kit before he left so know we have a vaping senior reporter on the Reading Chronicle. That should help us in the future. lol

I am to go tothe BBC studios at 9am in readiness for the 9.15am Andrew Peach breakfast show. I also had the papers around again this morning. We are going to have a large editorial with pics etcin the the Reading Chronicle this weekend. If anyone else needs a celebrity appearance anywhere just let me know and I'll check my diary..Lol

Just a quick update. I have passed on contact details of a guy called Ian in charge of The Chequers Inn in Charney,Oxfordshire to the BBC as another vape friendly pub. The BBC wanted a pub in Oxfordshire to do a similar filming so that they could put the vaping piece out on BBC Oxfordshire at the same time on Thursday. I don't know if they will film there or not but I'm pretty sure they will. If they do it will be sometime between 4.30pm and 5.30pm tomorrow if anyone is interested. Every little bit of positive publicity we can get really helps to make people aware of what vaping is all about. We don't get many opportunities to get vapers together in one place the same time as an eager BBC film crew so lets all give these opportunities our best shot.
Cheers, Phil
