Yep I just figured out that I had to actually post my zip code in the thread. I was thinking that I just had to hit up the admin. I have since corrected that. Thanks to all for the help.

Fisto, It's not to hard. First, Go to the AAE-C home page and scroll down to the title "Members Only" tab. Click on it and at the top of the page you should see a tab "Members Location Map". Click on it and then ask the Moderator to add you to the map by your US Postal zip code...I hope this helps....Again Welcome aboard....Hope more of us will join and work together like our British Brothers and Sisters are doing....Tell your friends and maybe one day our flags will cover the world.....A united front. Done and done...thanks for the guidance.

Welcome Fisto, Get on the members map...Tired of being the only American on it...HaHa...Raining here in Georgia....Temp 94f...Again Welcome aboard...Great group of people, I know you'll like them...I do. Tim Well since I'm a rookie you are going to have to hold my hand and show me where to go if you want me to add myself to the members map. We are sitting at 92f (33c) with 56% relative humidity so it feels like 103f shooting for a high of 102f (39c) and one would imagine that if the humidity holds (and with this cloud cover it will) we should feel like it is north of 110f by 17:00 or so. I guess for the Euros that sounds crazy, but I am in the shade drinking hot coffee right now and I feel GREAT...oh man..now they are really going to think I'm insane. Oh well, it had to come out sometime. BTW I love Georgia although my experience has been limited to Greater Atlanta and the Columbus/ Fort Benning area. The trees are great and it reminds me of East Texas; sure its hot, but you can ALWAYS find some shade.

Hiya fistofsouth (can't tag you for some reason!) and welcome. My one and only trip to the US started in Carrolton, Texas, and I was amazed by the heat - first place I'd ever been where it was cooler indoors (thanks to amazing air con) than outdoors. Also the place I smelled my first (and only) skunk! Skunk as in animal, not as in weed I live in Ireland most of the time, though am a Brit, and currently back in the UK for various reasons concerning my Dad and family (funeral, birthday). I found Texas people very friendly, though was alarmed at the distance we had to drive to find somewhere that sold liquor - we were in a 'dry' area! Ireland also had a bit of a heatwave for the past 3 weeks, but it seems to be back to normal now - according to my husband, it's persisting it down right now Jo Oh wow I spent age 5 to 17 in Carrollton; it is INDEED a small World. Carrollton is still dry for hard liquor, but you can buy beer and wine there now. The law stipulates that a city or town must decide to allow alcohol sales in a dry County, so there are a few trailer parks down the road from where I live that incorporated just to sell Liquor. Even with that no Liquor can be sold on Sunday and only between the hours of noon and 21:00 Monday through Saturday. Even with that it must be purchased at a Liquor Store and not at the Grocery Store or a Gas Station. Beer and wine are a bit easier to get as it can be purchased from noon until midnight on Sunday and from 08:00 until midnight Monday through Saturday. All alcohol is cut off at bars at 02:00 in the morning. Still some states are even worse and require one to buy all booze from State-run stores that are only open for very limited hours. About the ONLY thing you will find that Texans covet about SOME other states is that they have wide open booze laws. In Nevada you can get anything at any time, public intoxication is not against the law and state law stipulates that it can NEVER be made illegal. Then again they live in the high desert and don't know what trees look like so I'm cool with the trade off. No one goes there unless they are looking to "act a fool" anyway so I'll stick with Texas. There are positives and negatives about every locale and in Texas that means that weed will be a long time coming and if you are going to be an alcoholic you need to plan your logistics in advance. They don't call Dallas the shiney buckle on the "Bible Belt" for nothing. LOL

So how long have you been vaping for F.O.S and any plans to quit? Or go onto no nic? You're up early. Do you work? Just got off work two hours ago, but I work from home. I've been vaping and totally off of analogs for almost a month after 25 years of smoking the strongest I could find; started on Marlboro Reds, moved to Newport Box and then spent the last 5 years or so on Djarium Blacks. I would still smoke if I could, but The Barrett's means I WILL get throat cancer if I keep going. That being the case it isn't for safety it is to make it until I have grandchildren. I'll probably cut back on my nic level (sitting at 32 right now), but I figure giving up a 25 year habit is enough self improvement for one month. I do consider vaping a miracle and one that can help more than smokers if people go with zero nicotine. I have no idea of the flavors available in the UK, but in Texas if you can imagine it they probably have it. That includes flavors that have never actually existed; DFW Vapor has Brawndo (from the film Idiocracy) as well as Slurm (of Futurama fame) plus things like pepperoni pizza and brownies. Flavors like that can help everyone from people with diabetes to middle-aged women with water retention that can't stay away from the salt.

I have just ordered from your neck of the woods F.O.S - great lakes vapor...no discount code and $43 postage (don't quite know where they get that from - eek!!!) but still... Will be postie stalking (do you do that?) in about a week's time Absolutely. I have a Storm Rider 2.1 RGA inbound and check tracking and watch for the postman (or when he's out sick on vacation the postwoman they send) almost constantly. I'm also lined up for one of the first 50 serial numbers on "The Origin" by UVO systems. The only reason I'm not stalking for that is because it won't ship until around the 27th. All good because my 20th Anniversary is on August 7th so it should make for a good anniversary gift. My Frau was quite influential (that and Barrett's Esophagus) in my moving over to E-Cigs so I think it makes a GREAT Anniversary present as we MIGHT make it to 50 years married now. One last thing the Great Lakes are about as close to Dallas as England is to Russia, but everything is relative I suppose LOL.

Welcome fos, 35c all summer, that's gotta hurt, have a beer on me I appreciate the sentiments, but is all about what you are used to. I could not bear the generally cloudy weather most of the British Isles suffer through. They say that the human body needs quite a bit of vitamin D to get on well. I get that everyday just by walking outside, in the meantime our Pacific Northwest has the highest suicide rate in the nation and a lack of sunlight is thought to be the cause. Y'all seem cheery enough though so perhaps it is the grunge music or something that is getting to them up there. I will have that beer BTW and have pint on me as well.

I am from (allegedly) the Driest park of the uk, and in a microclimate usually, when its pouring with rain elsewhere and flooding , we are usually in the midst of a hosepipe ban I live in Essex so am an Essex girl, don't google that! Well I would hope you are quite bright and selective in who you bang i.e. not an Essex Girl, but if you are, the world takes all kinds right? Self deprecation is a good way to stay humble so if that's your intent then stay calm and humiliate on.

Thanks again for all the warm welcomes..one would think y'all are Texans if they didn't know better.
One last thing; thanks for passing the baton to we Americans. I know we are ruining your gorgeous language (most English 5-year-olds have a more advanced vocabulary than an American with PHD in English), but some of us do try. I will be asking MANY questions so it is good to know that I have so many quality people on the other side of the pond. We really do appreciate the class and grace England has shown in being cool about the Good Old US of A trying (TRYING) to move ANglo-American civilization forward. I am SERIOUS, we need you and studies show only Israe,l Australia and South Korea love us the way the UK does.
Thanks again for the heartfelt welcome. Y'all will always be welcome on this side, at least if I have anything to say about it.

Thank you for the advice fistofsouth I like the idea of the tube thing to keep all the beer and water cool, nice idea BTW, I'm in Scotland, we are very used to ice and I believe we have better rivers than England My wife is a McGregor (or I guess a "Roy" when the English made it illegal to be McGregor) and I have some Gaelic (Irish and a bunch more we are ALL mutts over here) blood in me myself. Sad really because my Irish parts and my English parts are in a constant struggle againt one another..well unless when they unite to get at my German parts and make them FUBAR.

Hi fistofsouth Welcome to our forum. We shall be interested to know how your `state` treats vapers. Happy vaping. jeffc As a general rule freedom is loved and protected in Tejas, but we still have not made certain "herbs" legal and I am absolutely crestfallen about that.

Howdy all coming over to see how things are in the "Mother Country". I am a native Texas, bod my roots stretch back to Lincolnshire. Seeing Jolly old England is on my bucket list and I'll get there some day, but you know how Vaping can eat up SERIOUS coin. At any rate, glad to be aboard. Howdy right back at ya, fistofsouth, and Hope you do get over here one day, Lincolnshire is a beautiful part of the country. I've been on holiday there quite a few times, love Lincoln itself, full of history. Thank you. Sadly my ancestral home (Garthwaite/ Gathright is under a lake right now, but there are only two World Capital (Alpha++ ) cities on Earth (cities capable of serving as the Capital of the planet) we have one (NYC) and y'all have one (London obviously). Still my home town has moved up from gamma - to Alpha- (according to the Belgians ) since I showed up so I'm good with it; Y'all do have a 1798 year head-start, so have patience. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Nice to meet you fistofsouthWe're all having a very unseasonal heatwave in the UK What's the temp in Texas and how do you cope with the heat? The heat makes my e-juice too runny and floods my cartos Actually while the rest of the globe is getting hammered we are having unseasonable cool weather...well for us anyway. The hard part about the area of Texas I live in (The Metroplex, North Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth) is that unlike most hot places we NEVER cool down in the summer. Traditionally from June until September the temps NEVER drop below 95 F (about 35 C) and I'm talking about at 04:00 in the morning that is the temperature and it just goes up from there. Many don't realize, but we are growing like crazy (about 25% growth for decades) so when I was a child we were in the top 25 US markets and now we are number four behind NYC, LA and Chi-Town. We are expected to catch Chicago and move into the number 3 slot in the next 15 years. When I was young it was hot, but it was a "dry heat" adding millions of people means you need to add water and despite the fact that we lie over a massive aquifer the easiest way to get more water is to just dam up a few rivers and creeks and turn them into lakes. I said all that to say this; it can be problematic to deal with the heat. Iced Tea goes a LONG way, but I'm a beer man myself. I must therefore alternate between pints and glasses of water or dehydration will occur. SO dress in light colored Coloured?) clothes, preferably 100% cotton (it breathes). Next always have a cool drink in your hand. I know when I lived in Germany they had an aversion to ice if that is also the case in England then put some thick mugs in your freezer and drink out of those. If you have a safe, shaded, moving body of water (say a river) then find an inner tube for some Tubing . Bring along a few mates and a few extra tubes to hold ice chests and hen fill those chests with cold pints and bottles of water and you're all set. You can Tube all day long, drink all day long and then be fascinated by the fact that no one seemed to need to urinate the entire time. I don't know if y'all have any rivers or streams that meet those requirements, but if you hook up a weekend trip like that you will be a hero to all of your peeps.
