Howdy all coming over to see how things are in the "Mother Country". I am a native Texan, but my roots stretch back to Lincolnshire. Seeing Jolly old England is on my bucket list and I'll get there some day, but you know how Vaping can eat up SERIOUS coin.
At any rate, glad to be aboard.

fistofsouth... Looks like there's going to be another USA flag on our members' map. From what we've heard from a fellow countryman of yours, this forum is likely to be a little different from what you're used to. Hopefully, for the better.

Nice to meet you fistofsouthWe're all having a very unseasonal heatwave in the UK What's the temp in Texas and how do you cope with the heat? The heat makes my e-juice too runny and floods my cartos

Thanks to all that have replied..and I don't know if some other Colonist has stirred the pot, so to speak, but I pride myself on NOT being an "Ugly American". Never a need to pretend you're Canadian if you treat all with love and respect or at least that's how I roll.

Nice to meet you fistofsouthWe're all having a very unseasonal heatwave in the UK What's the temp in Texas and how do you cope with the heat? The heat makes my e-juice too runny and floods my cartos Actually while the rest of the globe is getting hammered we are having unseasonable cool weather...well for us anyway. The hard part about the area of Texas I live in (The Metroplex, North Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth) is that unlike most hot places we NEVER cool down in the summer. Traditionally from June until September the temps NEVER drop below 95 F (about 35 C) and I'm talking about at 04:00 in the morning that is the temperature and it just goes up from there. Many don't realize, but we are growing like crazy (about 25% growth for decades) so when I was a child we were in the top 25 US markets and now we are number four behind NYC, LA and Chi-Town. We are expected to catch Chicago and move into the number 3 slot in the next 15 years. When I was young it was hot, but it was a "dry heat" adding millions of people means you need to add water and despite the fact that we lie over a massive aquifer the easiest way to get more water is to just dam up a few rivers and creeks and turn them into lakes. I said all that to say this; it can be problematic to deal with the heat. Iced Tea goes a LONG way, but I'm a beer man myself. I must therefore alternate between pints and glasses of water or dehydration will occur. SO dress in light colored Coloured?) clothes, preferably 100% cotton (it breathes). Next always have a cool drink in your hand. I know when I lived in Germany they had an aversion to ice if that is also the case in England then put some thick mugs in your freezer and drink out of those. If you have a safe, shaded, moving body of water (say a river) then find an inner tube for some Tubing . Bring along a few mates and a few extra tubes to hold ice chests and hen fill those chests with cold pints and bottles of water and you're all set. You can Tube all day long, drink all day long and then be fascinated by the fact that no one seemed to need to urinate the entire time. I don't know if y'all have any rivers or streams that meet those requirements, but if you hook up a weekend trip like that you will be a hero to all of your peeps.

Thank you for the advice fistofsouth I like the idea of the tube thing to keep all the beer and water cool, nice idea BTW, I'm in Scotland, we are very used to ice and I believe we have better rivers than England

Friendly bunch here fistofsouth no preconceptions or xenophobia, any & every vaper is more than welcome to join in. I had to google "Ugly American" & am happy to report I've never even heard the term used before, just another stereotype...I'm sure there's lots of stereotypes of us Brits where you're from Right, I'm off for a nice cup of tea and a crumpet, Toodle pip!

Our problem over here is that we're just not geared up for any extremes of weather Fisto . . . whatever it might be. The country goes into meltdown (no pun intended ) if we get a lot of anything in the way of weather. Despite it being on the warm side, not for me though , it has been so lovely to get up in the morning and see a clear blue sky, rather than a grey marshmallow.

Hi fistofsouth, and a warm UK welcome to the forum I live in the extreme Southwest of the UK, within 20 miles of Land's End which sticks out into the Atlantic, and nearest to France in Europe. We are enjoying a cooling breeze (well, today it's been more like a gale!), but we too are blessed with warm temperatures and clear blue skies. Our top temp. so far has been 29 degrees C on our decking but thank the Lord for aircon in my car! Good to have you aboard, and look forward to hearing about your vaping gear, where you buy, your favourite juices, etc. Andy
