I went today Chrissie, I don't think I had a single vape on my own juice, I had a toke on something or other on pretty much every pitch I do believe I may have finally found a choccy based liquid I like aswell after two years plus. I can't remember what it was called or by who, they're a new set up. I'm off back tomorrow so I'll hunt it down, Mmmm Jaffa cakes is all I can remember.

Sorry if his is an onvious answer. Isn't the 510 on these spring loaded ? I use subtank minis exclusively now and can't do with gappage even if I could use a washer it would irritate me. OCD much.

This link was in the replies and hopefully the idiot has taken note, but I doubt it.

The same precautions stand with built in batteries really. A big one is don't leave charging unattended. With external replaceable batteries you get to choose the quality though.

Building your own coils is a good option and will save you money. I personally much prefer my own builds on the rebuildable deck to the shop bought replaceable coils. With a little practice and tweaking you'll soon find your ideal personal build. It gives a level of satisfaction as well Vaping on something you produced.
As for a kit, I wouldn't bother. A few cheap drill bits from your local hardware shop in sizes such as 2mm 2.5mm 3mm to wrap your coils around. A pair of flat tweezers, I recommend sanguine ones from eBay, they close flat not slanted if you know what I mean, better for giving a micro cool a little squeeze. A set of nail clippers are perfect for snipping wire tails. You can get a set of jewellers screwdrivers for a pound or two. Build your equipment up yourself and tailor it to your needs and methods.

happyloman you mention your other mods not holding charge as well as they did. The advantage of an external replaceable 18650 is exactly that. It's replaceable. A lot of mods taking an external battery can be charged in situ with a usb, just like your mods with built in batteries. Then you can replace the power source in your mods relatively cheap. If I'm honest though an external charger would be the better option but it's something to think about. Jay

I pulled the trigger on this one and I've been using it a few days now, so I can hopefully add some valid input. Battery life seems good, better than the istick 60w tc for sure and certainly on par with the vt40 with the evolve chip which gives very good battery life. I'm not sure if that's due to the mod using joules as opposed to watts in tc mode. I'm still trying to work joules out at the moment and how it translates to watts, but I think it's the amount of joules you have set divided by the length of time your firing for. For example 30 joules firing for 5 seconds would be 6w. Now if that's an average wattage for the 5 seconds that's not a lot of power consumption and would greatly aid battery life. I'm standing awaiting correction on that as I'm using it at around 15 to 20 joules and fire on average 5 seconds if I were to estimate, that would only be 3 or 4 watts. I'm sure one of our resident geniuses could start a joules and Vaping simplified thread. As paulymeatbals said the mod feels very well built. Very smooth, weighty, no uncomfortable edges and surprisingly small. I've had no issues with the battery cap catching the first couple of threads but I will add I think the threads on the mod may well be brass. Mine has a brassy colour to it, the cap though does appear to be stainless steel as do the 510 threads. Vaping on the mod is very nice. I'm using a subtank mini with a 0.09 build at 430f with red astaire. The power delivery seems lovely and smooth, the Vape equally so. I know the build has a big say in the vape but in my opinion the way the power is delivered also has an equal bearing. I don't know whether it's in my head but even tinkering with the istick I can't get it to quiete deliver like the sea wasp does. Overall I'm very happy with the mod so far so a big thanks to paulymeatballs for reviewing and bringing this to my attention. It's a good and well priced mod. Jay.

I like the look of pipes, even dare I say the stinky versions but obviously they're a no no. For me though I'd want a regulated 18650 one but then your losing some of the form factor if it was possible.

The jury really is out still on this mod as far as I can see. I've been looking for a wallet and pocket friendly tc mod but the widely varying opinions on this has prevented me pulling the trigger.
