JayJ most flavours are PG so that ups the PG ratio in your final mix Ah that's helpful, but I am right that I should buy the "vpg nicotine base" from your link if I was after the same pre diluted 50/50 18mg as you use ?

Thank you Karma I'm assuming the "vpg nicotine base" is the 50pg/50vg mix ? I was hopeful they might have variants such as 70%pg 30%vg, thats my usual ratio.

I've tried a few combinations without alot of success really, although bubblegum and banana wasn't bad. I've added joose juice menthol to a few aswell, generally to kill any bad flavours I've had, theres is a strong menthol. Karma I didn't realise you could buy pre diluted mixes at whatever nic level. sounds good to me then just add flavour concentrates I assume. You'll have to link me as to where.

Focalecig do a gold coloured mini protank, a clone I believe. They're also still on with there 40% discount by the looks of it so works out at approximately £4.44. I'm not going to link it as it's china and this is "shopping, uk & the rest of the world" I might get my wrist slapped

@freefromsmoking thank you for the quick explanation I think I get that. Even though your reason for not using the bag is opinion I reckon I'm with you on that one.

JayJ they come off the charger at 4.2 ish and drop to 3.2v which is pretty much dead mate. Hope that helps? That helps a great deal thank you ginge, I am a dumb ass as rumoured then. I don't get why they come off at around 4.2v if they're 3.7v batteries but it's probably best if I don't receive that information lol. Karma I would prefer to see my charger aswell I think, and I do have the odd touch. I think I'd be worried if i was feeling a bag and thinking is that hot. EDIT: I've edited the above aimed at Karma twice now and I still think it's not coming across very well lmao.

Hi all, as some of you know I am using my new toy, a zmax v3. I'm a little confused though. I'm using 18350 and 18650 batteries in the mod and as you know these are 3.7v batteries. Now I've set up my zmax to show battery power whilst vaping. I know I have it on the correct setting, number 5 on the menu (LCD) and selected battery. This then shows remaining battery power as you vape. Now what confuses me is fully charged batteries show as being 4.1v. Am I a dumb ass as rumoured ? Should they not show as 3.7v ? The 4.1v it shows on fully charged batteries does gradually reduce through the day it's gone to 4.0v and now 3.9v. I vape in watts by the way so I've not made a mistake on that front.
My second concern is battery safety. Does anybody use the charging bags that are available for charging ego style or mod batteries ? I've read about them and while they seem a good idea I've also read they become very hot inside while charging which isn't good for batteries, and they may not offer that much protection from exploding batteries. I've also read some people charge up outside and even of some using ammo style boxes to charge there batteries in. I know we should never leave charging batteries unattended but I'd wager a lot of us have, even if only for a few minutes. How could we stay in one room for 3 hours. I will confess I have left my spinner on charge and gone out for a couple of hours. I offer no excuses for this only stupidity. I could easily flick off the socket power button. I should no better aswell, my OH's work place had a devastating fire not that long ago. I hasten to add it was not ecig related but it did result in £1,000,000 of damage. Alot of people use mechanical mods, it's recommended to use protected batteries in these for safety reasons, but are protected batteries safer on charge opposed to none protected against such things as venting/fire/exploding ?

Would the 1.6mm rod not be best for 2mm silica/ekwool etc as then the wick material would be held slightly whilst not strangling it ? I've seen mention of people using a 1.5mm diameter machine screw I think they're called, as they have a tight thread and using this to wrap the wire around and then turning the 2mm silica into it. Thats more of a question than a statement I'm quite new to making my own coils so if I'm talikng out my backside I'd rather be told I am lol.

gapy360 I agree with you entirely don't run before you can walk. I'm not looking at a mechanical mod as yet I haven't even tried my zmax as my batteries didn't come It's just a general question to gleen dome knowledge as I'd wondered a couple of times re pro's and cons of each. Some good avice from all as usual. Thank you.

Great advise as always. Dan good points to bear in mind and a few favourable for the regulated mods. My coil building so far has been limited to evod heads but I've got something coming from china that I'm going to make a nuisance of myself on here with no doubt lol. I'm out at the minute and phone is a bit slow but i'll be interested to watch the linked videos above.

I'm out and about at moment so still could miss them if they have to knock. Very tempted to pop in maplins to see if they sell them but I imagine they'd be silly money. Balaclava in the glove box though, I can negotiate better wearing that. You know it's for cold days really

Well my shiny new sigelei zmax v3 has arrived what hasn't arrived are my batteries maybe they might be on a van. I ordered them from torchy on ebay. Inside the zmax box is a little leaflet advising me I must use protected batteries. I ordered non protected as I thought the zmax had built in protection ? I'm sure that's what I read. I hope so as I don't want further delays. Hopefully someone is going to advise me that's just sigelei covering there asses. Jay
