thanks so much fitlikemin....whilst we're on it we're thinking of a mini vapemeet at Ma Cameron's on Tuesday at 7 if you're up for it Unfortunately working late most nights bewteen now and Xmas otherwise would definitely have taken up the opportunity to meet fellow vapers (and get a look/play with all their kit ). Thanks @johanino for the invite though - can hopefully meet up with you and others in the new year if you're around? Is this a regular meet or is it on an "as and when" sort of basis? Have got a few folk at work interested in vaping but have yet to encounter anyone else using anything other than cig-a-likes in real life . Is Ma's OK with vaping then? I was in there for tea a few weeks ago, sneakily vaping at one of the tables where no-one else could see me, have only asked in one pub so far - and they said "No" so don't want to risk asking in any others. Hope you got your Sansa up and running again.

Hi @johanino, I've got the same sansa player and yes the microSd card from your phone should work fine. Think that cards up to 16gb are fine, I had problems with a 32gb one but think the card was a bit dodgy anyway. Great wee players, battery seems to last for ages.

Um ok trying to explain this, I started with the drip tip cover on the left and cut the open side down until it was just longer than the one supplied with the chimney on the head. I pulled the chimney post off and laid a bit of wick from the "donor clearo" accross the top of the existing wick they supplied. Then I pushed the chimney back on and trimmed it to the same length and pushed both rubber caps back in place one over the top of the other. But, as I mentioned, the wick has fallen out before so if it is possible a better idea would be someone smarter than me re-wicking it with more wick and possibly a wider wire bit? Is that possible on these? Because I really want a glass tank that doesn't leak. Del satanswombat -thanks for that, have a far better idea what you mean now and will give that a go this weekend. I really liked the vape from the smok aro's but they drove me demented with the leaks. I'll ficker about with wick and the extra rubber caps - gonna be so happy if this works. Cheers again for putting up the photos - makes it so much easier to understand.

Not sure how helpful this is but I had the same problem with the smoke aro ( one of these ). I tried putting an extra bit of wick across the existing ones, turning the rubber cap that comes against the central stem up side down, but what finally fixed it was taking the little protective cap that comes with some new clearos and snipping it down to only 3mm or so long and jamming it over the top of the one supplied. Del Hi satanswombat - don't suppose you're able to put a photograph showing what you did/meant? I've 5 leaky smok aro's which are sitting about doing nothing - tried loads to stop them leaking then eventually gave up. Can't work out what you mean with this fix. If you're able to upload a photo I'd really appreacite it.

Aye - certainly woke me up quickly that morning though, took me back to the old days of inhaling menthol crystals in a basin of hot water when you'd a cold but far stronger! Hopefully won't make that mistake twice. All part of the learning curve tho

Then more fun when you start mixing your own , oh and Just ordered a mixing kit, some PG nicotine base and bottles of PG and VG . Going to give it a try. Will doubtless have even more questions once it all arrives. I thought stopping smoking cigarettes was going to save me money?

A quick recap of what I've learned over the last 5 weeks (almost) since I started vaping 1) This is by far the most helpful and friendliest forum I've ever joined. 2) Reading up on various bits of kit before buying is really useful - youtube, videos on here, reviews of different bits and pieces all contributed to helping me decide what to buy. It's only when I'm actually holding it though that I can properly understand what it means/how it works. 3) Trying something for at least a week/refilling it, changing heads etc before quickly ordering spares is probably a wise move ( anyone want 5 smok pyrex aros and 8 spare heads - guaranteed to leak juice? ) 4) Reading the labels carefully before refilling a clearo is advisable unless you like vaporised sinuses (joose juice menthol concentrate is STRONG ). Certainly cleans out the old tubes though. 5) Referring to the iClear30 you're vaping as "my crack pipe" is a great way to ensure a discussion with your (concerned) manager and colleagues. Having half of work thing I'm smoking drugs at work probably isn't a great career move though. 6) Personal tastes vary and buying small samples of liquid first is defintely advisable. Flavours which other folk rave about might taste bogging to you and vice versa. 7) Ignoring folk who say "but you're still addicted to nicotine" or agreeing with them is less stressful than trying to explain that you're no longer inhaling tar and various other carcinogenic chemicals. Smiling and agreeing seems to wind them up far more than trying to persuade them otherwise. 8) Food is different when you can actually taste AND smell it - 30+ years of cigarettes can dull the senses somewhat. Regaining (gradually) these senses is FANTASTIC 9) Spare batteries are useful but possibly 10 ego's, an MVP and an Itaste vv/vw is sufficient for now. Time to lock the credit card away for a few days! 10) This is still by far the most helpful and friendliest forum I've ever joined. Thanks again to all the members on here who've welcomed me to the forum and offered advice, suggestions and potential meet-ups. Don't think I'd have made it this far without y'all.

Just wanted to say I'm impressed at the service I've received from myepack. Have bought a few things from there now, emailed earlier this week with a query re the MVP I bought and got a reply which was sent around 1am in the morning!
Emailed earlier today as an order I'd place wasn't showing up under my account but showed as paid via paypal when I checked online at my bank. Ash replied within a couple of hours - a glitch when I made the order aparently, immediately refunded my paypal account and I've now re-ordered again. Unlikely to arrive now in time for flying off on hols on Tuesday unfortunately :'(but still really impressed at both the time taken for orders to arrive and their quick response to emails.

Thank you - I ordered some 24mg yesterday as I wondered whether that might help so hopefully it will be at home when I finish work... Hi effington - I found that with 18mg I still wanted a cigarette after vaping, bought some 24mg and that seemed to make a real difference, no longer wanting a cig provided a had a few deep vapes when the urge hit. Good luck .

I've commented and volunteered for the focus group. Got rather irate as the land which Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is built on is part of the "Freedom Lands" gifted to the citizens of Aberdeen - I'm a citizen, I've contributed to various funding appeals over the years to purchase equipment for the hospitals (as did thousands of other Aberdonians) and they can #### right off if they want ME to stop using my e-cig on land given to ME and every other citizen of Aberdeen.
Managed not to swear but was rather scathing about their suggestions. Really concerned at the potential impact at Cornhill as well - folk in there are under enough stress without this being added to it.
Also seriously unchuffed at the ban on electronic cigarettes until medically regulated. And at the idea that all staff will be expected to enforce this ban - suggested that the folk thinking up this policy should be the ones wandering around the acres of open space telling folk to stop using e-cigs/toabcco.

fitlikeminnot a helpful post, sorry I've been wondering about your user name. Your from Aberdeen so I get the 'fitlike' bit, but not the min ??? My MIL is from Keith, the first time I heard Doric, I thought I was in a foreign land. I'm from the Borders Hi Karma , the "min" is just aberdonian for "man" - just a way of saying hello to someone, similar to saying "aye aye min" as you pass someone, as opposed to greeting an old friend when you might say "foos yer doos"? (The generally accepted answer to that would be "aye peckin". Plain english really, don't know why folk pretend they can't understand us up here ( diina ken fit wye chiels canna mak us oot) . Keith's a bit cheuchterish though - not surprised you couldn't understand someone from there . I don't actually speak doric that much unless I'm with friends, I got sent to elocution lessons at primary schol as we moved to a posher part of town and the teacher "suggested" it might be beneficial!! djs - really glad to hear that it's not just me, all 5 Aro's I bought are leaking, regardless of what pg/vg liquid is in them and what battery I use them on. Pity as I liked the "coolness" of the vape. Managed to get an iclear 30, that and the cartos are keeping me going until the tank cartomiser Super-Shiny suggested arrives. Will happily send them on to someone else if they fancy seeing if they can get them to work properly or use bits from them. @johanino - that's encouraging to hear about Ma's - everywhere I've asked so far in town has said "no" to vaping indoors, been resorting to sneaky hits in the toilets if I don't want to go outside with the smokers. Not wanting to come over all secretive about work but not meant to discuss on social media, employer does trawl around the net checking and if I say what I do it's kind of obvious who I work for. (It's nothing too bad though I promise!) . If there's a meet up at some point I'm happy to discuss in person. Just googled sidewinder mod - looks very fancy and a bit of an upgrade from what I'm using. I'm quite into gadgets so need to watch I don't go overboard and buy stuff just for the sake of it - the shinyitis you all seem to refer to . I've tried your suggestion about cleaning the threads, unfortunately they still leak everywhere, and I've wasted so much juice already that I'm ready to give up on them completely. Learned one valuable lesson though - if I buy something, I'll try using it for a few weeks at least before buying extras, spare heads etc. Thnaks again for everyone's suggestions and advice. I'm still managing to avoid tobacco and have no desire to buy a packet. One friend has also started vaping and there's a few folk starting to ask questions about cost, where to purchase my "crack pipe" and supplies and I've recommended this forum to a number of folk to get decent answers.

fitlikemin, What you are descibing is the curse of BCC's. If as you say all O rings and silicone caps as they should be, then the only logocal way juice can get to battery/mouth is through the wick apature. the bits of wick you trew away, are sometimes known as "flavour wicks" I personally call them PLUGS!! as a stop gap, yes use some cotton wool but rolled into a thread. Put that on top of the coil, drop of juice on it, reassemble and you should be fine. charon@charon Thanks - sorry I didn't reply to you sooner - missed your reply earlier for some reason. I have given this a try but the only cotton wool I had in the hoose was "compressed" (other females will possibly know what items I'm referring to ) but I managed to make a wee thread of it and gave it a try. So far it seems to be working ok, a wee leak initially but once I cleaned everything up it's been going fine for the last hour. I defienitely prefer the cool/airy vape from the smok Aros but looking forward to trying the tank and cartomisers as well. Not so important when I'm at home but can often be out of the house for 12-14 hours when working so need something which'll last me all day without leaking. I'm going to take the aro with the cotton wool wick and a couple of cartos to work tomorrow, hopefully that'll see me through to evening. Thanks again to everyone for all the suggestions and advice. Really chuffed that despite the setbacks I haven't gone out and bought fags, this is the first time I've stopped smoking without "suffering" or having to resist the tempation to buy/borrow cigs.

fitlikemin i myself would not boil a carto, can't be bothered with all that, as for punch your own carto's sure it is cheaper but again i can't be bothered with that either, them carto's i linked are the ones i have always used for tanks and they never let me down. Some videos on carto tanks (gives me a opportunity to watch this woman again ) Thanks Romelee - have just ordered a tank and 5 pre-punched cartos. Hopefully I can get back to vaping away productively at work without constantly fiddling away and leaking juice everywhere. Lots of useful tips in those videos as well - loved the black "finger stools" on the fingers of the smoke anywhere for pennys guy - WANT

fitlikeminKeep one of these in mind as you like your carto's but worry about them running out. Large version here: Carto tank: HereCartomizers for the above tank (Size Extra Large): HereSmaller version here: Carto tank: HereCartomizers: Here Thanks Romelee - there's so many different things to look at and try to get my head round! That also looks good and certainly looks like it'd hold a fair amount of liquid. Tempted by so many different options - this was what stopped me trying e-cigs in the first place until I found this forum and followed the suggestions and bought the riva kit, my head was birling with the variety and choices. Am I right in thinking that you can boil cartos a few times to clean and reuse them and that you can't recoil them? Also is it best if using these to buy the pre-punched cartos or buy the (cheaper) unpunched ones and a punch thing to put the holes in? I realise I've spent a fair amount over the past few weeks but eventually would like to settle on one system which is economical to use/replace.
