Thanks so much guys. Initial Google shows the words 'FastTech' & 'Knock-off' in the same sentence!
But it would seem anything on their site with the word Authentic before it is genuine gear.
Thanks again for all advice & heads up.

It may be more than two weeks, that`s for sure, but genuine Innokin stuff at a great price, I buy regularly from them and did in fact buy an SVD from there. Once you go there, you`ll be amazed at how much ecig stuff is there. Love the SVD myself, quality build, loads of poke at a great price Search for itaste there to get a list of genuine Innokin stuff There is a button in the price panel to change the currency. Very helpful, robby. Much appreciated. Cheers man

Hi guys. Just priced up SVD&few accessories from FastTech. I've heard them mentioned lots, but have never ordered from them. With apparent free worldwide shipping&having converted cost to GBP, it's all coming back pretty cheaply!
I know there's a potential two week delivery window but hey, if they're as cheap as they appear...
Any info greatly appreciated guys. Cheers

Almost everyone will have a slightly different notion of what best means, and as there are so many out there its probably only a handful of people in the world that have tried enough of them to be truly qualified to answer. I don't think any of them are prepared to make that pronouncement as they realise when it comes to best, like everything in vaping, its personal preference that matters. An interesting development over the past couple of months is Mechanical - electronic hybrids. The kick has been around for about a year, there are some different variations on that theme now. Both internal and external. China has come up with a 510 screw on Vamo head, Zen is at the point of launching a side mounted add on for the Zenesis range, there are some screw ons coming out of Greece and the Golden Greek has something coming up very soon. There is also an electronic VW mod that has a Mech override setting to bypass the electronics, I cant think of the name though. Things are moving faster and faster all the time, there are some amazing new things just around the corner. The Vamo is about a year old now - it became one of this years must have mods and could be seen as milestone for many reasons. I think its biggest achievement is to still be selling in huge numbers when so many other devices have come and gone. Right now China are still waiting for the next Vamo. It's almost like the industrial revolution of the mod world! Interesting to see what's soon to be on the market, based on your post markm. I'm only three months into VW/VV &most of my education is from this ere forum. Which is fantastic for info&friendly, learned people. I'm going to go for innokin's SVD for my second mod&use my Vamo2 as back up. It is a trusty unit. markm, would you kindly indulge my ignorance&perhaps give me a brief insight into 'Mech Mods'? I have an idea of how they function, with only battery&atomizer, But would be really interested to hear I little more about they work.

A warm but very wet and windy welcome to you from Bristol gazd. Just wrung myself and the dog out after a very unpleasant walkie. I hear you perpetua. Dog owners unite.....&get soaked. Often! :-) Dogs mantra: There's no such thing as bad weather-just inappropriate clothing! :-)

Hey everyone, another noob to the community. I started vaping 11 weeks ago, had my last cig at 3pm on a Monday then the post man turned up with a little e-go c and iv not looked back. No more 25-30 a day habit! Upgraded since, tornado c 1100mah bat and various tanks. Will be buying my first "mod" on Friday with any luck. Hope to get to know some more vapers and learn abit more as its turned into abit of a hobby! Thanks in advance for any advice in given or steal from old threads! Hi gazd. Welcome &its a blustery Liverpool too! Congratulations on going fag-less&moving to all things vape! :-) Mate of mine told me the other day how apparently smokers are now often refered to as 'Analogues'! Thought that was hilarious.

It is my belief as well that if you are careful, it`s fine. I always keep the batteries paired up and charged at the same time. I wouldn`t recommend any one else doing it, after all the scares, it your own decision. That's it. Paired batteries with a quality charger&marked so as you can rotate after each charge. I find a single 18650 or 18500 suits fine these days, but with the Vamo&SVD it just gave it a little mote kick. And yes, a brighter display screen!!

lol. Cheers, man. I'd read the first few posts of that thread the other day. I have used two batts before today, although I know it's not necessary. Just to draw the comparison between what they describe as average&best performance of their mod. I used AW stacked pair in the Vamo2 for ages! As that's what it came with&that's what the instructions suggested. Thankfully, my face is still attached to my head..&that to my body! So yes, there's higher risk&potential for catastrophic scenarios resembling scenes from 'Scanners'!.... But if you're sensible, it carries np higher risk than getting out of bed in the morning. But don't do it! AAAArrrgghh!!! My dad's brother's son's dog's nan's cat's uncle's face once blew off!! (insert sarcasm here)

So many conflicting views.
This from Innokin's SVD user manual:
There are two telescopic tubes available for the iTaste SVD. The short tube supports 18350 batteries and long tube supports stacked IMR 18350(2), 18500 and 18650 batteries. You can use 2 IMR high drain 18350 batteries at the same time, which will give you the full arrange of voltages/Wattages and proper power needed to use the device. Please install an IMR battery before operation. Screw the battery negative (-) cap off the telescopic tube, then insert battery into the telescopic tube with the negative (-) end of battery in first and the positive (+) end out towards the battery negative (-) Cap. Note: Before you switch between one battery and two batteries configurations, please hold the “ ” button for 5 seconds to release the remaining power in the circuit board. (when you make a switch from one battery to two batteries, the circuit board will keep the single battery settings if you haven’t released the remaining capacity; and vice versa.)

Cheers suede. As above, I'm hearing pretty mixed opinions. Not sure how many have actually had a bad experience. How about two 18350s in the Vamo2? I know that mod has protection against battery issues.

However, if you look at PBusardo's review of either the VAMO or SVD he shows that both devices perform at their best with stacked 18350s. A fair amount of frightening testimonies from people on here&elsewhere who are passionately against stacking 18350s. &I suppose justifiably so, based on the science. I know people have drawn comparisons to doubling up batteries in torches, etc to demonstrate relative safety, but this has made me think twice, given the risks, about stacking. As oldleatherlungs said, there are alot of people out there, even posting battery safety videos, who demonstrate it as an alternative to 18360. And perhaps in my naivety, though albeit based on the Vamo instruction booklet, I've done it myself. Thankfully with no issues. But thanks again to everyone here for all things informative.

Hi guys. Just a quickie,
When the iTaste SVD is in 18650 battery mode, can you stack two 18350's as you would in the Vamo?

Perpetua, cheers for that info. I'll definitely be checking for local goings on&will endeavour to attend a national 'Vape Fest' wherever that might be next year. I'm sure that during the last one, I was still on the Marly Lights! Yeukk! :-)
