I have a V2 and a V1 and both whistle when they are not fully open. If I open fully I do not notice it so much, but it does not bother me either way if it's the price of excellent vaping.
Yes drilling the hole bigger will get rid of any whistle, unless you can fill your lungs in half a second, then it would whistle like a 1950's policeman.
Is yours a genuine one? Mine doesn't whistle at all no matter how I set it, it's a KFL+ Yes it is a genuine one enjay. I find that many atties whistle to some extent. I don't mean like a kettle, just the air being drawn in creates a noise like wind howling outside, if you know what I mean.

Whistling seems to be a trait of all the Kayfun clones and the genuine articles. The Hcigar clones are top quality devices, as good as the originals imo. Do make sure that you do not have a blockage in the airflow hole, but if you have whistling you must have airflow. It's more likely that you have not set up the coil correctly with your wicking material, you must not block those channels. The genuine V2 doesn't whistle at all. Mind you after copying decoy and drilling my russian clone it doesn't whistle now either but it is a 3mm air hole lol I have a V2 and a V1 and both whistle when they are not fully open. If I open fully I do not notice it so much, but it does not bother me either way if it's the price of excellent vaping.

Hi Mev,
I have only recently purchased a Zapper V2 from you about a week ago and received very quickly thank you.
I am having problems with the Zapper though, I have built around six coils using it and now the right red button that increases the power will not function, it just stays at zero. I have tried replacing the batteries but still nothing. It was working fine, then I noticed that the power up button would increase the power while pressing it, but when released the display went to zero. Soon after the power up button would not work at all.
I cant think of anything else to make it work, any suggestions?

The Squape is the easiest of atties to set up. Use a 2mm drill bit and wind a .3mm kanthal microcoil with 8 - 10 wraps, wick with cotton wool and it chugs away. If you find the draw is too tight, as most people do! Drill out the deck centre hole and the hole in the 510 connector, I have drilled mine to 1.6mm and it has vastly improved the vape I have got from it. See Rip Trippers out there review. See Mad Vapes review and idea of coiling. Good luck

I find that boiling with a teaspoon of salt for a few minutes works fine. I totally dis-assemble and put the whole lot in a small pan and simmer. Sounds like I'm boiling eggs. Ha ha.

Sera wool will not work well as its structure is too open and it will not wick well. It is used in atties like the Spheriod as a retainer of the juice, in these RBA's the wick is made using silica or cotton the same as your RBA.
I get an after taste using cotton for a short while until the wick has been used for a while, this is quite normal as they have to settle down. I even get a different taste with silica until it has settled. You must use pure cotton wool and ideally steralised, if it does not say pure cotton wool, dont use it.
