Hi any idea how to get rid of a strong odor from a tank that had a very strong e liquid other than an ultrasonic cleaner??? I've tried denture tablets and washing up liquid.
Thanks

What about that sterilising stuff for baby bottles and the likes? I use that myself, so far so good.

I used Milton sterilising tablets, it was better than washing alone, I also found that it wasn't so much the tank that held the offending smell but the silicone O rings and screws etc, I gave them all an extra going over and it seemed to help !

A strong solution of plain Bicarbonate of Soda is another good way of getting rid of residual flavour xtc263.

I'm guessing this could be the KFL I sold on to you? Custard and butterscotch are the culprits if that help any? Like you I have no ultrasonic cleaner and just rinsed out with warm water before posting and never realised there was a lingering smell. If you can't get the smell shifted I shall order a replacement tank for you. Just drop me a PM.

I find that boiling with a teaspoon of salt for a few minutes works fine. I totally dis-assemble and put the whole lot in a small pan and simmer. Sounds like I'm boiling eggs. Ha ha.
