Finally had a chance to struggle of getting angry with the stupid system of keeping the spare tyre and jack under the car. Ever heard of corrosion on mild steel Citroen? Grr
Anyway...... the wheel doesn't move top to bottom or side to side. But the whole wheel does move forward and back, ie on it's hub, quite a bit, I'm not sure it's supposed to move very much at all. Not that I've had much business with that bit of a car, but I'm guessing it's the CV joint?
Can you tell me how much it will cost for me, or a garage to do it? And if it's possible for an amateur mechanic to do?
Continuing thanks for all your help!

I am not a mechanic but probably CV joint if it's happening in a corner..Also look for stones in your tire.. It could be the wheel bearings, but they usually last the car's lifetime.. The wobble is usually wheel balance rather than tracking, but might need tracking too given that you have uneven wear..Did you just get one tyre replaced or both? That's what I thought, I got one tyre replaced, but had them balance the other front one as well. Thanks everyone, I'll jack up the car tomorrow and have a play with it.

I know we have a couple of mechanics on here, so need to know what you think is causing this please.
I have a 53 plate Picasso, the steering goes a bit wobbly at around 40mph, but you can feel it very slightly all the time. The left front tyre was badly worn on the kerbside and I had to get it changed, the tyre place said not to bother getting the tracking done because of the wobble problem, otherwise I would just have to get it done again after whatever was needed fixing, was done.
And tonight, after going round a hard left hand corner, I noticed what seemed to be a slight knocking from the front R/H wheel.
And it pulls to the left.
Does this make any sense to anyone?
Obviously something that moves is bent or damaged in some way, but I'm not skilled enough to know what.

Some will I guess, some won't. The more information we can give them, the more chance we have. I will certainly pass on to my MEPs and MSPs. The things I like about it are, that it's written in a way everyone can understand, it covers the main problems, it does it in a quick and easy way. Anyone wanting to research ecigs after reading it, will have all the right things to go on. Hey, it's only a drop in the ocean and if the more experienced campaigners say something is wrong with it, I will go with them. But it looks good to me.

But would they read it, or stand their ground about the issues they say they have about e-cigs, They think they are god almighty, and are pig ignorant they will stand their ground. Some will I guess, some won't. The more information we can give them, the more chance we have.

What a great read. I can see the final decision becoming a *moment* in time when politicians have it within their grasp to vote for saving lives and promoting harm reduction OR bowing to pressure from the almighty £pound (or euro). Which way will it fall? Anyone with any sense will see the logic in voting AGAINST the proposals. No sane person with an ounce of empathy or compassion could possibly wish MILLIONS of people to return to smoking. I guess we will find out whether altruism exists in politics, because if it does, there is ONLY ONE ANSWER. Ignorance is no defence. MEPs that vote for "the ban" (dressed up as "sensible regulation", but only allowing 4mg/ml liquid) are therefore personally responsible for unnecessary premature deaths across Europe on scale which cannot be swept aside in the interests of fiscal survival. Well in defence of MEP's, they can't know everything and have to take everything bought to them by their constituents as hearsay. They have to rely on facts and those facts have to come from decent organisations. They also can't do it all themselves, they have to rely on the party view and/or advice from advisor's. What we know, we can't impart to an MEP in ten minutes, nor ten hours, it takes time for this sort of thing to seep in. Personally, I don't believe that any number of people coming to them telling them how great ecigs are, will make any difference, but it may make them sit up and take notice of other information. (may ) What they need are facts and information from higher up sources. I think this may be one of them.

He was released up the lane & I'd rather they take their chance out in the wild, than break their neck. Depends how far "up the lane" is But if you're happy that they might come straight back in, then that's your problem, not mine

Don't bother with a cat, if it's owt like ours, it'll bring mice in & then release them!! We use humane traps, never kill them, so have our own catch & release programme going. In fact, one was released at just after midnight lastnight. Erm, you do know they come straight back in unless you release them about half a mile away (at least) and then they will probably just be killed by something else anyway, not knowing where they are.

When I lived next to a field we used to get mice. They can get through the smallest holes so the only thing you can do is trap them. They really do love chocolate. You may want to investigate and see if you have a nest somewhere. Seems a bit early in the year for them to have come from outside. We get the majority of ours when it gets really cold outside, so about October it starts. Then if you have any work done nearby, even a new shed being built and an old one taken down, they could be looking for a new home. Anyway mice pffft, easy, rats, now they're the buggers to get rid of

That's the problem Womble - 75% of our packets are 'Signed For', but they still go missing just the same. Business accounts are very complex and compensation is virtually zero, other than going through a very time consuming process involving internal investigations. We had a particular problem with parcels in a certain area a couple of months ago and instead of talking to the business managers, I rang the manager of the local sorting office directly and asked him to contact the Police because of the volume of packets going missing through his office. Amazingly, they all turned up within 7 days. I'm in one way comforted, that it's not the vapers claiming they didn't arrive which is the problem. The fact that business accounts compensation is virtually zero is dreadful, I didn't realise RM was so bad for business users. I feel for you buddy, that's a terrible drain on your business.

It could well have been the same one come back in but if you have one, you probably have at least another. The traps work really well most of the time, try different sorts of sweets, one of them normally works, I like the jelly ones as you can reuse them many times. I live in the country and I have this sort of problem all the time. Cats only help a certain amount although the one we have now does a pretty good job of getting rid of any obvious ones, but she's only 1, as they get older, they get lazier. The best traps are the snap ones btw, don't bother with the live traps unless you have a large number of mice, then a multiple mouse trap can help (you still have to kill them though!) Result on the mouse getting rid of the Mrs for a couple of days though, LOL. ps I see you have a dog, so please (obviously, sorry) put the snap trap where he can't get to.

Hi Sean, whereabouts are you in Northants?
I'd like a new belt for this summers geocaching, but I'd like to have a quick look at what you have and a even quicker chat about it, if you are ok with that?

We write off around £300 per week in loss/damage/non arrival. Unfortunately, it does seem to be getting worse week by week. I can only echo the other replies, that it's incredible. Would a way in which you knew all the packets were delivered or not, be alot more expensive? ps I've had no problems with RM here, although some companies have sent out the wrong or incomplete stuff, but they always sort it out, so no beef there from me. Parcelforce on the other hand, don't even bother delivering half my stuff.

It looks like you're stuck with the metal drip tip as it's built in. I don't like metal drip tips unfortunately. Looks nice though.
