I've been reliably informed that the Banoffee Cookie Dough Concentrate should magically reappear in stock tomorrow (but that sometimes means the day after). I've been told that a few times....fingers crossed!! I have over a thousand witnesses!

Well I'm not so sure about that personally. The device that the NHS are backing isn't really an ecig. There are no electronics in the device. It's just a fancy nicotine inhalator and IMO will just be added to the steaming pile of shit that is NRT. If this new legislation goes ahead then I imagine the only adverts you will see will be NHS or Nicorette or whoever sells the silly device. Hopefully I'm wrong though. Two very similar named devices designed by Kind Consumer for Nicoventures (a BAT subsidiary) have received marketing approval by the MHRA: the Voke (last year) and the e-Voke (this November). The first was, as you mention, a non-electronic inhaler but the more recent version is an ecig (link to pdf of the instruction leaflet) just not a very good one. And you're correct - under the TPD regime, the only devices permitted to be advertised will be those with medicinal approval.

Any takers for the forum project? If not I'll do my best to put together something for a sticky when I've time, although I don't feel I'm the best person qualified for the job. When this "week" actually finishes - which may not be until next Wednesday or so - and I get more than two hours in the evening to myself before collapsing in a heap, I'll knock something together and drop it in the Sandbox for others to rip to shreds.

Don't get me wrong Richard46 I'm no fan of BT, or their brand of e cig. I fear you are missing the point I'm making though. My point is more the longer term than the initial products coming on stream via MHRA, which I'm sure will be crap. This isn't about the product but the principle that is being set. Vaping is good. Vaping should be encouraged. Vaping should be allowed. Doctors are being encouraged and can prescribe it. In the public's eyes that is tacit approval. It makes it harder to ban all types of vaping equipment, when vaping is allowed if you use a certain e cig. Let's face it, to non vapers, an e cig is an e cig. They don't know the difference between a Vype or a Kanger. To them they are e cigs, and up until now, both are just as bad as the other. So I do think this is a very important step in the right direction. Not the end by any means, but at least we are going in the right direction. There is a very long way to go with this, but this one is 15 love to vapers, not BT. The message will be: "vaping is good as long as you use an approved and regulated device that's been proved to be safe." It doesn't matter whether this makes it harder to ban other devices as they're going to be banned anyway! The regulations that bring the TPD into force are just awaiting a signature - there doesn't even need to be a vote in parliament.

I think a thread will deteriorate into a mass of individual opinions - some unfounded - that'll be even more confusing for new mixers considering mixing by weight. Why not invite someone to compile a single-post guide from all the suggestions in this thread (and elsewhere)? It should be possible to present a draft version for others interested in the topic to offer corrections and/or other methods and theories that could be incorporated into a final version. Only an idea...

Dont quote me but I think they are different, Chefs Vapour have Mount Baker rebranded as MASTER Baker, I believe the company doing Mr Baker are using a different brand and trying to cash in on the name Just to put folks minds at rest, Natalie Bahlaj from The E-cig Shop has just confirmed: "Yes it is Mt Baker. They ask everyone to rebrand ie Chefs do Master Baker."

Two variants of Nicoventures' e-Voke - a reworking of their earlier Voke model, designed by Kind Consumer (couldn't make it up!) - received MHRA marketing approval (pdf link) a couple of weeks ago. But I'm sure more will appear before the TPD sledgehammer comes into force. While I agree that the move ought to be positive, there's little doubt that they'll be used against vaping. "No need to take the risk with those dodgy unregulated, untested devices, here's our shiny, expensive gizmo that comes from your trusted doctor..." Love the idea of renaming them SSSS - a few days ago one (I think it was in Sefton) was spotted advertising help to quit vaping!

Been digging around the net and some are saying there just FW concentrates mixed for mount baker could this be true. The "just FW" is probably a bit of an exaggeration but it does seem likely that Mt Baker's Thug Juice is FW Jungle Juice plus some menthol. And I think someone figured that the Blue Moo was a similarly simple adaptation. I've followed your occasional posts over the past few months highlighting your wider mixing/concentrate/taste problems and feel your frustration. Rather than widen your search for specific concentrates to more brands could I suggest you figure out a flavour profile (eg. "thick banana custard", "lemonade with a bit of zing", "fruity cake") that sounds like it would work for you and then start a thread asking the group-mind to help find an already tested recipe (or come up with a brand new one) that could then be adjusted to your particular palette? Hell, maybe start with one from the existing stack? There's so much talent, experience and goodwill here that you'd stand a good chance of success and it might make an interesting thread for others hunting for that illusive 'Eureka' moment.

I've been putting it off after reading about how tricky the Nickel coils were to make and the inability to dry burn them.
Am I right in picking up that stainless steel wire - that I notice several recent TC mods are capable of using - is more robust, like Kanthal? Are there any other considerations / limitations with SS coils?

Where Botboy writes: Life's too short to deal with specific gravities for individual concentrates.

Really sorry to read about such horrible harassment. I doubt these proposals will make much difference when most false allegations are made out of fear or spite but I'll hope it improves for you. No way to give you a hug so these will have to do.

Posting this just in case it helps someone else here:
It may just be me but after extensive testing over the past couple of months, I've figured out that I develop a wheeze, a 'tight' chest and lots of phlegm after a few hours on any juice with more than 40% VG regardless of any other obvious variable (such as liquid intake, illness or the weather). This seems to happen with all kinds of juice, so I reckon it's unlikely to be due to a reaction to any specific ingredient. And after a day of heavy vaping on 70PG/30VG my breathing is fine and my chest is clear.
No more cloud chasing for me!

I believe some Totally Wicked stores are already selling them. Whatever could go wrong?
