Hi Rav - stand by to be amazed! When I started I thought I'd need a good tobacco flavour with plenty of nicotine, being, like Scylla, a rollie chain smoker - but with more class as I was a Cutters Choice devotee But it won't be long before your taste buds start working properly and then you might well find yourself wanting to vape flavours you'd have laughed at just days earlier. I'd started off with SkyCigs and liked their Cherry flavour - now it tastes horrible and Im 'gone' on Butterscoth and Caramel flavours - weird and totally unexpected! I'm sure whatever you plump for you'll get sound help and advice from this forum.

Well it's 15 days without any weed now and I reckon I should say thanks to the forum for the advice that set me right, so cheers folks Got to say a big thanks to Kev at FreedomVape for the constant supply of goodies over the last couple of weeks - cheers matey! The Riva kit I bought has now gone to my son, and the skycigs he had off me have now gone to the wife; and I'm on ego batteries and CE2s with 10ml syringe body tubes. and happily puffing my way through Kev's Butterscotch and Caramel RY4. I've moded the CE2s by lifting the white silcon 'bit' over the wick to stop it pinching, so you get more juice to the coil. I've also drilled a little hole in the side of the tube just below the daft filler port so I can side fill the carto - a little sleeve of silicon tube covers the hole. Am now eagerly awaiting more CE2s with the tougher tubes. I've dropped my juice strength to medium too - vaping too much! At this rate I'm going to have to have 2 setups going, one with nicotine and one without - in all the years I've smoked I've never taken too much nicotine onboard; but it's easily done vaping good juice - so the advice I got over juice strength was right afterall! All I wish is that I'd started this vaping mularky a lot sooner! Thanks again folks

I got a pick'nmix from Kev - and guess what - I pick 'n mixed it again. Equal parts RY4 and B n H mixed 4:1 with Cherry - it certainly tastes nice though it's def not Sky Cherry Delight. I hadn't got a spare bottle to mix it in so I've been sitting cross-legged on the living room floor measuring it out drop by drop and mixing it in a hypo - the wife said all that was missing was a fag lighter and a spoon, otherwise I'd get a part in Trainspotting 2 no probs!! Anyway, that's 5 days gone with a breath of weed smoke - and I'm not missing it one tiny bit; dirty filthy disgusting stuff Am I going to turn into the worlds worst reformed smoker?

Well it's all getting sorted now - I'm sending the batt and the CE3s back to the supplier this morning and he's replacing the batt and sending me a couple of atties or 'safe' cartos. So all's well that ends well All I need to find now is some nice juice and I'm sorted

CE3s are 2.8 to 3.1 ohm - that's what it says on the box.
This is a brand spanker new batt this morning sent by the retailer to replace one from the original order.
It ran a riva ato and cartridge perfect for about ten minutes until the juice ran out so I thought I'd try a CE3.
If I screw the riva atty back on the light goes out. If I press the button the blue light blinks once, and if I remove the atty the light comes back on permanently.

Hi All - the battery is brand spanking new, only received it this morning and put it on charge.
It ran one of the Riva atties fine then I decided to try one of the CE3s I had with the original order.
Wish I hadn't now - and yes the blue button light is still on.

Just put a CE3 cartomiser on a Riva battery, pressed button to take a pull but got no vapour and the blue light stays on.
I've quickly taken the carto off the battery and the blue light is still stuck on.
That was 10 minutes ago and the light is still on but the battery isn't at all warm.
Any ideas what's happened folks?

Well, it's arrived! Got a slight prob with one of the batteries - like not working; but but I had a quick blast of a skycig carto on the other and was bloomin' amazed at the amount of vapour that ensued - Holy Moley Anyway, I put that battery on charge until the light went green then I tried a Riva ato and cartridge with a few drops of 28-30mg Cherry - real good nicotine hit but not keen on the taste - a bit 'medicinal' if ya know what I mean - the SkyCig Cherry Delight is gorgeous out of the Riva. Swapped out the ato and cartridge for the other ato included in the kit and then tried the Aniseed - different but still tastes a little like the docs or dentist! Is this because they're PG or is it just me being a plank?? ??? ??? Anyway, I put the batt back on charge - the lights just gone green again on the charger but the 'destructions' say leave it for 8 hours so I'm off to fill a couple of used SkyCig cartos and try them on the SkyCig batts to see if they taste the same. Have emailed vendor over t'other battery - just waiting for a reply now. But I've gotta get to understand about juice - has anyone here tried the Sky Cherry Delight and does anyone know what replicates it? Thanks all

Cheers John - I'm camped out behind the letterbox waiting for postie this morning! Yeah, I'd worked the SkyCig carto refill out, just pop the white cap out the end and drip 'n rotate away. I didn't know they fitted the Riva though so that's handy in an emergency. But refilling 'em for the wife, one at a time as she wants means the 20 I've got should last for her AGES! I might be able to get my lad off the weed with refilling the skycigs too so my entire house could be a baccy smoke free zone in short order! Cheers all

Hi Andy No offence to the SkyCig but they are in a different world to the larger devices. If you stick a drip tip on a filled cartomiser, you can take as many deep draws as you like and depending on the liquid you are using, you'll give in before the device does 30mg is a high point to start at in my opinion and I usually recommend that people start with a medium (16-20mg) and then they have play in both directions. You can always weaken it a bit with glycerine if it's too much, but you will lose a bit of flavour. Well we'll give it a shot - don't forget where I was a few days ago - 35 years of basically 3 packs of straights a day or 75gram of rolling tobacco a week

Hi Scylla, Chrissie All I've got to go on is these SkyCigs which are supposed to be 12mg. I did a little experiment last week and actually counted the number of good drags I got out of an average Royals straight - 5 straights averaged 9 drags (no, not one after the other!!!). Now if I did 9 drags on a SkyCig with a normal cart two things happened: 1. my lips burst into flame 'cos it gets too hot. 2. I needed a straight every now and then to "top up". It's a little different with the SkyCig cartomisers though - when I bought the Sky gear I bought 2 spare batteries - so now I can have 2 cigs on the go and two batteries on charge. I can easily do without the straights at all now THANK GOD! Tugging away on one Sky until it gets a bit hot then swapping to the other for a bit does work for me, and 4 cartomisers of 12mg gets me through 24 hours no problem, but it's expensive, and it's abusive to the batteries. So I figure that 30mg is a good place to start, as for me it's all about the nicotine right now! The idea is that if I like the flavours of Cherry and the Aniseed I've ordered then I'll bang in an order for 30ml lower strength plus a pic 'n mix 'cos leaving the nicotine aside for a moment, I quite enjoy this flavoured vaping lark - with decent gear I reckon it'll be even nicer! Thanks again
