From one of your posts I'd figured that was where you worked Super-Shiny. Will look out for you when we return from Cyprus in the wee small hours at the end of May.

Whilst delivering Thomson Local Directories in Salisbury this week I came across a new Ecig shop. Google 'Mirage Ecig' to see their extensive range.
They don't sell any good gear at all.
Looks like the cowboys are moving out of double glazing, solar energy etc into Ecigs.
Super-Shiny with all this vaping going on in Bournemouth is vaping OK at Bournemouth Airport?

Well I've got my Provari Son, Pete, had bought a VTR a couple of weeks ago. Had trouble with it and has sent it back. He sent me a text whilst I was away "Can you get me a Provari too?" Ordered them from Liberty Flights yesterday afternoon. Arrived this morning. Pete finds his flat top batteries won't work in the Provari and mugs me for my spare button top giving me his 4 flat tops. They do work in my SID. As if I haven't been mugged enough Angie decides she wants a Provari mini. Ordered from Liberty Flights this afternoon. Well at least I've got one early Xmas and one early birthday present out of the way. What about the Provari :- it's obvious why it's a lot more expensive. It so solidly built and although so much heavier than my other gear I'm already used to the weight. Is it worth 5 times the price of the SID? Probably not because Provape keep the price artificially high by not allowing retailers to discount the price. However I used a comment by someone ( sorry but I can't remember the name ) on the forum to justify the purchase. He/she said it cost the same as 450 fags but instead having a pile of ash at the end you have a working device. Also yesterday I had to reconnect SID's battery 5 times when it stopped working. I've ordered a cheap faux leather lanyard, from UK Ecig Cabin, until I can get a local leather worker to make a real leather one.

Hi djsI'm using Efest 18650 IMR button top batteries. What battery would you suggest? A possible solution would be a stronger spring on the battery end cap but I would like something that works straight out of the box. I'm not sure off the top of my head. I just remember reading threads about in on both UKV and ECF. One poor chap had a load of trouble. He bought a SID that kept resetting. He sent it back to Fasttech and got a refund. He bought one from UKecigcabin (that's where I got mine) and then started giving grief to @sadie22 on UKV. The whole thing was just so depressing. Sure, I felt bad for him, but did Ukecigcabin then take another "hit" with replacing that one, I don't know? In the end, somebody popped up (not me) and said, try a different battery... problem gone. Collateral damage to 2 Vendors. I'm not saying it's perfect, but I've had 100% service from mine. I use the green panasonic NC? 18650 batteries. They are a tight fit, they don't move around.. maybe that's why they work? Good luck either way. The batteries I'm using are such a tight fit that I have to take the battery tube right off to change the battery so that I can push the battery out. So next buy won't be another SID nor, having read of several faults, will it be a Lambo V6. I want to have another VV and preferably VW device so that when SID dies I don't have to go back to using lower capacity batteries. Everything I look at has one or more problems reported except one - the Provari. I don't want a drawer full of faulty mods. I don't mind fiddling about changing wicks and mixing liquids but I do want a reliable mod that I don't have to keep changing the settings on. Decision made:- I'll get a Provari and stick to coils of the same resistance so I don't have to keep adjusting the voltage. Going away for a few days so will order it on Thursday when I get back.

Google is your friend smifee ... type in Lambo v6 review and the world will open up to you I dumped Google years ago when other search engines gave more options & better results. Using my current search engine I got more Lamborghini hits than anything else. Just used Google and great results. Will plough through them now.

The SID has a known problem where it just cuts out. Cured by unscrewing battery cap... then screwing it back up. You know what? I bet with the right battery (the right fit) you wouldn't get this. Hi All Only been vaping for 3 weeks. Now using a Smoktech SID with Aerotank and Protank 3. The SID has a known problem where it just cuts out. Cured by unscrewing battery cap & then screwing it back up. Annoying enough that I won't be getting a spare. Looking for alternatives I came across this pink-mule.com/mods-og-tilbehør/variable-mods-vv-vw/tube-mods/lambo-6-vv-og-vw-20-watt-pink-mule-udgave- but I can't find any opinions on it. As I'm only in the early stages of the shinyitis virus I'm hesitating about ordering one in case after I've got it you all tell me they are rubbish. Come on push me or hold me back

Mrsmac said "How did it turn out, does it improve the vape? I got a protank mini2 today and for some reason is has better flavour than the mini 1 but would still like a bit more, have a mini protank 3 on its way too " Result was no change in flavour, I'm vaping a mix of liquids I didn't like with added pineapple concentrate, so probably not a good test. More vapour than the original wick.

Hi MrsmacI did my first rewick, on a Protank, a couple of days ago and used ordinary cotton wool balls from Waitrose. Did a dual coil on an Aerotank last night. I'm like a dog with dual tails

Hi ronaldo I read people's accounts of rewicking with cotton wool and thought yeah, yeah but figured so many had done it so why not have a go. Plucking up the courage to order some pre-made coils now.

I like that SID is very light and not telescopic but it feels flimsy and I don't expect it to last long.No fear, honestly. It's not as flimsy as you think. The threads are **** on the bottom cap. The tube itself is cheap alloy, but it's quite OK. I've put some silicon spray on the cap thread and it's better. I don't feel that I'm going to cross thread it now. Thinking about the tube it's only flimsy when empty which won't be often.

Smoktech SID arrived yesterday along with 18650 batteries & charger. Read instructions, with the aid of a magnifying glass, whilst batteries were charging.
Unscrewed battery cap and found all the comments about rough threads on the SID were true. Inserted battery and screwed on Protank. Set volts at 3.7 and vaped. Upped volts and vaped up to 4v. Took another draw and got nothing. Display read 3v. Found that it reverted to 3v every few minutes. Reread instructions and confirmed 'the settings will be saved'. After an hour of what seemed like constant button pressing I informed SID that our relationship was in trouble and I was going to dump him.
Decided to go for counselling. Found that it's only on variable watts that the setting is permanently saved. Coil shows 2.1 ohms and wattage is set at 7.5. Battery lasted just under a day but I'm not surprised as I've used a load of juice in that time. Twice I've had to take the battery out because SID appeared to be dead. All OK when battery reconnected.
I like that SID is very light and not telescopic but it feels flimsy and I don't expect it to last long.
I'm getting a few dry hits but I don't think I can blame SID for them. The day before SID's arrival I had experienced my first bad taste in 18 days of vaping. I took the head apart and the wick was very burnt and when I removed the wick the coil was gunged up. I washed the head and dried it but the coil was still gungy. I gave it a few dry burns and it looked fine. I told Angie that I was going to get some cotton wool and rewick it. When she stopped laughing, I'm Mr Clumsy, I told her when my attempt failed she would have to fix it as usual.
Whilst changing SID's battery I kept glancing at the bag of cotton wool balls. I'm sure they were calling to me. So I just went and did it. Worked first time. Put it in a Protank and let the juice soak in. Fired it up and sat there in a cloud of vape.
I've relinquished my Mr Clumsy label and now I'm Mr Smug.

Blownupdolly. According to Which? the cheapest "beans to cup" Best Buy is the DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM4200, @ £249.99 from Currys. As Super-Shiny says they do get very expensive. I've had one of these for about 5 months. Paid £300 for it on Amazon. Very pleased with it and think it's better than the Gaggia bean to cup machines I've had in the past. Now to the maths :- Tassimo 29p per cup Bean to cup 9p per cup So 5 cups per day saves you £1. Deduct the price of a Tassimo from 250 and that's how many days later you are in profit
