stu1873 Perpetua mike weaver93 Postmodern Smoking There's the right amount of nicotine in the sample. Nicotine test kit gives a result of 71.45439mg All those decimal places seem very impressive but you have to estimate by sight the amount of titrate added from a syringe. Because of that I'm happy if the result is within 2mg of the stated strength.

Couldn't get on with the big Nauti due to flooding & gurgling. My son uses them and you can hear it gurgling away. So I went for the mini.
I've been recoiling the Nautilus coil heads for 2 years. First year no problems then we started to get flooding.
I can't find out why. There is an Oring that sits below the flange. I got some replacements and no change. Next step was the grommet the pin goes through. I had some made in silicone and no change.
Now looking at the wicking. I use cotton tape and different thicknesses make no difference. A couple of days ago I wicked with Muji cotton. Didn't get to find out if it still flooded as the flavour was so muted I took it out.
Aspire are very secretive about changes they make to the coils. Could they have changed the wicking material again?
I deal with the flooding by taking the drip tip out, wrapping the tank in kitchen roll and give it a good shaking.

Thanks for looking. I did get these hoping they would be ok for 2mm but they weren't. Did you try widening out a pre-made coil with a needle/mandrel etc.? Maybe unwinding one turn to allow for the extra diameter....just a thought The internal diameter has to be 2mm for the wicking tape I use.
I tried using a Zapper to make my own NR/R/NR coils but every time it zapped I jumped and it all fell apart.

smifee have a look on fasttech for pre-made nr-r-nr coils, get all mine from there I've looked until I went cross eyed. The coils have to be 2mm , 27/28 gauge, 1.4Ω to 1.8Ω.

I've seen them before, I think on your recommendation, but as I can't tell what they are made from I wouldn't buy.
I've still got a load of silicone ones for Kanger coils.
For the Nautilus BVCs I want the grommets to have the 2 lugs that locate in the grooves on the bottom of the coil head. The 2 test pieces don't have them and liquid leaked from there.
I recoil for 10 people who get their liquid from me. I started giving them wicking tape for them to rewick but only 2 of them do it successfully. Now I give the others ready wicked coils and they swap used for rewicked when they collect their liquid. Unlike us hobbyists they don't deal with flooding very well. So I'm trying to get leaking/seepage to the minimum.

Hi GunJackDon't do many Kanger recoils these days but I found tearing also a problem. That's why I went for a stronger silicone grade. You've peed on my bonfire though. My next step was to get someone to make me NR/R/NR 2mm, 27 gauge, 1.4Ω coils.

thebishman Yes. I read about the V1 and it was poorly received. The V2 looked much better so I got one. I did recoil it a couple of times using my complete four letter vocabulary. The killer was that I couldn't get it to thread into Nautilus Minis or Kabukis ( genuine & clone ) without cross threading. The same problem was reported by a few people on a Kabuki thread on ECF.

I'm having some silicon grommets made for Nautilus coils. They are a part that I haven't been able to source for rebuilding the coil heads. They don't last because the coil legs burn into the rubber.
2 pieces were supplied to test and have been used for 4 weeks. On inspection today they both have grooves from the heat of the coil legs and scorch marks.
The material is silicone grade 80 which is supposed to be OK up to 450°F.

The VVTF deck is a total nightmare to build.
I rebuild Nautilus coils which I consider to be a bit fiddly but the RBA deck takes fiddly to another dimension.
Out of about 50 peoples experiences of them, that I've read, only 2 continue to use them.
Get one if you are a masochist.

Thanks @sighs bookmarked.
The isuber should be round in a few days as he gets through 120ml every 10 days. I'll get him to let me have some used coils before trying the RBA.

The cotton tape is Rico Summer Fashion Cotton Yarn which has been discontinued. I bought every ball of it that I could find and ended up with 1.5 kilometres of it. An alternative is Prym 5mm Cotton Tape www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005FQONLQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The Prym tape is not as soft as the Rico. I had doubts about whether it would wick ok. It does and is even easier to thread through the coil.
